Chapter 47: Zyrek (Part 2)
Azrael put on his clothes and left the bathroom. He was planning to wait for Silas in the living room until he came back with the awakening stone.
However, just as he stepped out of the bathroom, he saw Lia approaching him with a set of clothes in her hands.
"Young Lord, My Lady has asked you to wear these clothes."
For a moment, Azrael’s heart shuddered when he heard that Lia had brought clothes chosen by Ashara as he really didn’t want to look like a fashion terrorist on his birthday..
But when his eyes landed on the clothes, he was surprised to find that they weren’t anything outrageous—just a neat black suit.
A look of confusion flashed across Azrael’s eyes as he looked at Lia.
"Why does she want me to wear this?"
He glanced down at the pants and T-shirt he was currently wearing and felt they were a hundred times more comfortable than a suit. If possible, he really didn’t want to change—he still remembered Kael’s annoyed face when he had to wear something similar for his birthday.
Even while sitting, one had to be careful or the suit would get wrinkled, and Ashara would scold him.
"My Lady said that your grandfather will be joining you during your awakening ceremony, so you should wear something appropriate."
"Huh?" Azrael was taken aback. "My grandfather will be joining us?"
He couldn’t help but frown inwardly at the news. From what he had heard from Ashara and Silas, he knew that his grandfather was incredibly powerful.
Silas and Ashara didn’t seem to find anything odd about him, but Azrael wasn’t sure whether the old man—who is literally one of the strongest beings in this world—would be the same.
’Though I have some guesses about my situation after hearing the story of the Fallen Star from Mom and Dad, and maybe I don’t need to be afraid... they are all still just guesses, after all.
Seeing Azrael go silent, Lia appeared confused but still answered his question.
"Yes, Lord Zyrek will join your awakening ceremony through a holographic projection."
"Holographic projection..." Azrael murmured, surprised. "He is not coming in person?"
"Unfortunately, no," Lia shook her head.
Azrael thought for a while before nodding and taking the clothes from Lia’s hands.
"May I help you change?" Lia offered politely.
Azrael shook his head and went back into the changing room. "No need, I can do it myself."
Even though he had never worn a suit before, he had seen Silas wear them many times, so it wasn’t difficult for him to figure it out.
When Azrael had first arrived in Genesis, he had been quite skinny and stood at about 170 cm tall. But after a full year of training, even though he was just sixteen years old, his height had already reached 180 cm.
His body was now packed with well-defined muscles, and with his handsome face—somewhat resembling Silas’s—and the beautiful purple eyes he inherited from Ashara, he was more than capable of drawing any woman’s attention.
After a few minutes, Azrael stepped out wearing the black suit. When Lia saw him, she was completely taken aback.
Normally, Azrael wore casual clothes or outfits that made him look like a fashion disaster. It was the first time she had seen him in a suit since he started training, and she had to admit—it suited him perfectly.
"Young Lord, you look absolutely handsome. How about wearing clothes like this from now on?"
Azrael rolled his eyes and adjusted his coat.
"These kinds of clothes are a real pain in the ass," He muttered under his breath, heading out of the training room.
Lia followed behind him with a bit of anticipation as she was also curious about what kind of power Azrael would awaken.
’He is already far stronger than normal unawakened people. Once he awakens and completes the Eonrift Trial to fully unlock his powers, even regular level 10 apprentice warriors or even low level Class Warriors might not be able to match him.’
Azrael entered the living room but didn’t see Ashara there.
"My Lady went out, saying she was going to buy groceries and a few other things," Lia said, noticing him looking around.
Her voice sounded a bit strange, as she too was surprised that Ashara was planning to cook today.
Azrael’s eyes twitched when he heard her words and he silently hoped that he wouldn’t have to eat some strange sci-fi alien dish for dinner.
Kael had been kidnapped by Ashara to carry the shopping bags, so Azrael had nothing to do.
He simply sat down on the sofa and began browsing the internet using his smart band.
He looked up some important information and began to ponder about his future.
’Which one of these places should I go to after awakening?’ He wondered, looking at the long list projected by the band in front of him.
Eventually, his eyes landed on the top five names on the list, and a thoughtful expression appeared on his face.
’Mom and Dad advised me to choose one from these five...’
Azrael researched the top five options one by one, and by the time he finished reading about them, the confusion in his eyes had vanished and he had made up his mind.
’I’ll tell them about my decision tonight during dinner,’ He muttered inwardly and deactivated the smart band.
He leaned back on the sofa, thinking about everything that had happened in the past year since arriving in this world.
’This life... it isn’t that bad after all.’ He smiled faintly, then suddenly sensed someone approaching.
He raised his head and looked toward the door, just in time to see Silas enter the house with a calm expression. Though if one looked closely into his eyes, they would notice the excitement hidden within.
After all, it was the day of his son’s awakening.
"Let’s go. Everything is ready," Silas said the moment he saw Azrael.
"Mom went out to buy groceries with Kael. Let’s wait for them to come back," Azrael quickly said when he noticed Silas already heading toward the training room where the preparations for the awakening ceremony had been made.
"Went out to buy groceries?" Silas was visibly taken aback by Azrael’s words.
"Mhm..." Azrael nodded. "She said she’ll be the one cooking tonight, so she went out to buy a few things."
"She... will be the one cooking?" Silas stiffened the moment he heard those words, and a shocked expression slowly took over his face.
