Chapter 988: Chapter 242: As if an Old Friend Has Arrived_2

"That’s easy." Liu Zhenhan twirled the skull necklace on his finger and said leisurely, "Old man, have you forgotten? Rainbow Dragon City and Morning Star Dragon City were planning to allocate twenty ordinary Giant Dragons to serve as temporary mounts for the human knights during the Demon Clan invasion. To be honest, based on your clout, deciding which knights get the twenty ordinary Giant Dragons is just a word from you."

"Nineteen ordinary Giant Dragons, not twenty," Master Puskas corrected.

"Anyway, it’s about that number. Think about it—damn! Nineteen Giant Dragons! Nineteen Dragon Knights! Hell, any nation that could produce five Dragon Knights at once would be legendary! You could make it clear to the royal families of Pompei and Saint Francisco, as long as you all do not start a war within a year, you’ll each gain five new Dragon Knights!" Liu Zhenhan chuckled, "I swear, no king could refuse such an offer, and I can guarantee that if someone else made this proposition, they’d likely get slapped in the face by those two kings and be booted out the door while being called insane. But if you, Master, were to say it—haha, with your status, both kings would definitely not question it."

"If that’s the case, I need to quickly discuss accelerating the allocation of the Giant Dragons with the two Dragon Cities. After all, even if it’s to resist the Demon Clan, the dragons and knights still need some time to harmonize and train," Saint Chiao said, his eyes lighting up, but then they dimmed again, "But... Richard, I’m only ensuring Saint Francisco and Pompei don’t go to war for a year. What if they resume fighting next year? With the aid of so many Dragon Knights, won’t it potentially lead to even greater warfare?"

"Nonsense!" Liu Zhenhan fiddled with the skull necklace in his hand and said, "That’s Aegean Continent’s own business. Damn it! When the Demon Clan knocks on the door, won’t everyone need to unite against the common enemy? Why the hell would our own people fight each other? They should be sensible enough to understand that. Without this sense, wouldn’t it be ’treason’? Besides, these dragons were only temporarily reassigned. If it really comes to it, just have the Dragon Cities disperse them again. Anyway, you just need to stall the two empires until the Demon Clan invades next year! I don’t believe they’re that unreasonable! To ignore an external aggressor and start squabbling among themselves?!"

"Why didn’t I think of that?" Master Puskas said, flabbergasted at first, then immediately bursting into laughter, accepting Liu’s theory, "Damn! I was even planning to use Saint Level magic spells and the Holy Vatican Dragon Knights to threaten these two idiotic nations!"

"Because you’re dumb—" The little parrot lay on the table on its back, belly up to the sky, speaking lazily.

At this moment, two Holy Vatican Dragon Knights just happened to step through the doors of the inn’s bar and caught Saint Chiao and the little parrot’s booming conversation, standing there dumbfounded, not knowing whether to advance or retreat, and feeling quite embarrassed; a few militiamen who came to greet them stood to the side, snickering and covering their mouths.

Master Puskas and Liu Shock, the rascals from two different eras, were already laughing uproariously. Seeing the expressions of the two Dragon Knights, the pair of scoundrels laughed even more heartily.

Jade Dragon Knight Gaxia was clad in a set of dragon-gold armor, with a cross-shaped protuberance on the chest emblazoned with the symbols of a sword and oak leaves; draped over her back was a gemstone-blue cloak that was all the rage at the moment, and her body exuded a faint scent of perfume. This female Dragon Knight’s appearance had undergone quite a transformation since the last time; her previously wavy, long curls had been cut off, replaced with a short, layered bob. Two deliberately long tresses in front of the ears gave this hairstyle a playful twist with a bit of uniqueness, complementing the Dragon Knight’s handsome yet graceful face. Every curve of her eyes and brows radiated the kind of pride that men most desired to conquer; the Jade Giant Dragon had once again transformed into the young man who had appeared in Dorott’s arena before, an expressionless coffin-face, with a tall and athletic build, somberly accompanying Gaxia’s side, inseparable from her.

Liu Shock unabashedly scrutinized this beautiful and enchanting female Dragon Knight from the Holy Vatican. His venomous and boring gaze immediately caused the Jade Giant Dragon to frown.

Dragon Knight Lampard still had his modest gentlemanly demeanor, his dragon armor adorned with a gold palm leaf relief, and the golden dragon flute hanging around his neck denoting his Dragon Knight status. The classic Surlan-style battle kilt subtly accentuated his "Sword Robe Knight" identity. Perhaps because this honest and upright Dragon Knight thought he was attending a more traditional and solemn event, he chose to carry his dragon helmet under his arm and donned a silver-white wig. Though it elevated his style, the wig didn’t quite match his armored warrior image, looking somewhat mismatched no matter how one looked at it. A burly brute with a rugged appearance stood to Lampard’s left, dressed in sturdy leather armor; his thick neck bore two unsightly lumps of flesh, big and small, creating a bizarre and ugly sight. With his chest wide open, revealing steel-hard muscles, and his gaze grim and unyielding, he had a natural aggressiveness, like his physique.

At first glance, Dragon Knights Gaxia and Lampard barely recognized Piegel, the Overlord—now that he had ascended to the position of the Shaman of Divine Songs, with a hedgehog-skin crown that made him resemble a cactus bristling with thorns. His recently adopted punk hairstyle made him look very much like a humanoid hedgehog. It had been several months since their last encounter in Dorott, and Piegel’s nose was constantly healing; the grotesque image that once marred his appearance due to the horrific nasal holes had been greatly mitigated and improved, evolving from a Wu Dalang to a Ximen Qing. He was indeed more handsome than before by more than just a little bit.

Despite the drastic changes, the two Dragon Knights quickly recognized who the fellow was.

To tell the truth, standing on the scales of the goddess of justice, Liu Shock actually had rather handsome features. His facial lines were very angular and chiseled, fitting the popular image of a tough guy from the eighties, like actor Takakura Ken. However, the massive change in appearance hadn’t really altered his overall image much. The current Liu Shock, no longer sporting the laughable nose plug that made for jests, now had the malevolence in his eyes fully exposed, with his aggressive and unrelenting ferocity "huffing and puffing" out at all times. Anyone who had dealt with him even once could recognize from those evil eyes the malevolent soul dwelling within that body—some things are like a brand.

"Welcome to the Bimon Kingdom, esteemed Dragon Knights of the Holy Vatican," Liu Shock said with his chest partly open, the string of skull beads he held in his hand adding nothing in the way of a classic modern air to him but instead lending him an even more ferocious appearance. Behind him stood a row of overly robust Bimon warriors, and if the Dragon Knights had described him as a savage from an ancient painting, no one would have disagreed.
