That’s why everyone’s gaze was fixated, throats agape like goldfish in a leaking tank, deep and infinite.
“This is absurd!
Too absurd!” The centaur shaman was the first to wake from his stupor, shouting in desperation: “A shaman’s magical beast is actually using fist-fighting instead of magic in battle!
It’s the absurdity of the entire Donau Wasteland!
I suggest that the temple disqualifies this ludicrous shaman!
Too absurd!”
“If it can beat you, it’s not absurd.
The measure of a shaman’s ability on the battlefield isn’t just whether their magical beast uses magic or physical combat,” said Liu Zhenhan, casually putting Guoguo on his shoulder.
“I protest!
This is absurd!” The centaur shaman obviously couldn’t accept the reality that his powerful molten lava toothed creature was defeated by an inferior Frosty Pichu.
He pulled a long face, enraged and embarrassed.
“Is it still a magical beast if it doesn’t use magic as a supplementary attack?” another shaman chimed in.
“We have powerful followers who don’t need magical beasts to use physical attacks!” yet another stood up.
“Whether it’s Black Garfield or White Garfield, a Garfield that can catch mice is a good Garfield!” Liu Zhenhan began to counter the crowd.
……
The temple marketplace opened for business again, everyone trying to get their say, creating chaos.
“Silence!” Great Shaman Wei An rubbed his aching head: “But for this trial, from a fair perspective, after all, Shaman Richard has already won.”
“I won’t accept it!” The centaur shaman completely cast aside his noble identity, became like a quarrelling woman, his arms on his hips, glaring furiously at Liu Officer: “This Frosty Pichu obviously used tricks!
It’s as despicable as its master!
I will not accept such a worthless failure!”
“If you’re not convinced, then we’ll have another round!” Liu Zhenhan nonchalantly responded, boasting: “My magical beast doesn’t use magic, not because it can’t, but because it simply doesn’t see the need to use magic against such a low-level opponent!
Do you know what its magic is like?
Oh~~ The chilling wind of Mount Tamerlarya is nothing compared to its frosty aura!”
“Too…
too audacious!” Even the Great Shaman Wei An was almost thrown off his guard, the arrogance and defiance of this dragon shaman almost made this well-mannered Great Shaman curse.
The Great Shaman felt that in his over one thousand years of life, this Piegel in front of him was the most shameless and arrogant he’d ever seen.
“I’ll take you on!” A Wolf Tribe’s Wolf stood up, this shaman had silver hair, his cold gaze was like an ancient chilling wind.
A black light leapt from his hand, and a giant white bear, carrying a cold aura, appeared in the trial field.
“My Tanggula Ice Bear here is also a frost-imbued magical beast.
Just now, sir, you said that your beast’s freezing magic is quite remarkable, I must admit, I am quite curious.” Wolf casually flicked his silver hair: “I am Redkenap, the staff shaman of the Wolf Tribe.”
A massive Ice Bear, standing three times taller than a normal human, responded to its master’s call.
It roared angrily, swinging its sharp claws and spraying half-inch-long icy breath from its mouth.
The terrifying roar seemed to make the walls of the hall tremble.
Liu Zhenhan shot himself in the foot, his flippancy dragging in an opponent within the same magic realm, a staff shaman, trapping him in predictable trouble.
Without waiting for him to speak, Guoguo jumped down from his shoulder and charged at the Tanggula Ice Bear.
The werewolf Shaman gave a faint smile, and the ice bear instantly released a huge ice breath, directly aimed at the fast-approaching Guoguo on the ground.
“A shaman will not make the same mistake twice!” the werewolf shaman sneered.
Guoguo turned a somersault, silent yet agile, and darted past the giant bear, without a trace of ice breath touching it.
The Tanggula Ice Bear roared and turned, intending to thoroughly strike down this little creature challenging his authority, only to find the face of its owner contort in pain.
The giant bear was taken aback.
Again, the audience was stunned, jaws dropping to the floor.
After piercing through the Giant Bear, Guoguo sprung up without a pause, executing a stunning leap that brought her right in front of the silver-haired werewolf shaman.
She had already clenched her fist tightly, delivering a swift “Black Tiger Heart Pluck”.
The words were barely out of the werewolf shaman’s mouth when a faint yellow shadow leaped out of nowhere.
Realizing it was too late to dodge, he was met with a solid, heavy fist that slammed into his gut.
All the werewolf shaman’s features contracted involuntarily as he gasped for air, clutching his stomach and rolling his eyes white, slowly collapsing to the ground like a shrimp thrown into a hot pot with its head ripped off.
What Guoguo did next almost made all the shamans’ eyes burst in shock.
Upon landing, her fist smashed directly into the hard granite on the ground.
With a “clunk”, the granite tiles cracked like a spider’s web.
Such incredible strength!
Even the brows of the Holy Temple Knights, renowned among all Beamons for their martial prowess, twitched uncontrollably.
This intelligent magical beast proved through its actions that it had indeed held back in that first punch!
Without the mental control of their shaman, magical beasts would revert to their primal states.
If this were to occur on the battlefield, the indiscriminate attack of the magical beast would bring unimaginable disaster to their own troops.
All the shamans started to reassess this prodigal shaman, their eyes filled with confusion and unknown intentions.
“What a formidable magical beast!” Shaman Wei An gasped in excitement as he looked at the tranquil prodigal shaman standing before him.
“You have again proven to us that one’s position and rank can never measure a shaman’s true strength,” said the Great Shaman, a loyal elder who objectively defended Liu Zhenhan’s results.
“I object!” A Wolf Tribe shaman stood out in defiance: “Sir!
On the battlefield, we all have skilled followers at our sides; no sneak attack can escape their sharp eyes.
This was merely an accident.
The strength of our Wolf Tribe’s Shaman Redkenap shouldn’t be so easily dismissed!
It’s a disgrace to our Wolf Tribe!
I propose a rematch with Shaman Richard!”
“Yeah, yeah…” Many of the shamans, relishing the chaos, joined in the protest.
Being defeated by a magical beast that only uses brute force, and especially the Frost Snow Pichu Beast which in their eyes was of the lowest quality, was indeed hard for these proud shamans to accept.
“Enough!” The Great Shaman Wei An could no longer contain his fury: “Do you think the shaman trial is some sort of gladiatorial show for those boring noblemen?
If so, my Lords, I recommend you go to the Gladiator Arena to enjoy!
Today two Scepter Shamans, acting as trial priests, have been defeated by Shaman Richard.
This has never happened in the thousands of years of shaman trials!
It’s absurd!
Even if it is an accident, even if there are many things we can’t understand, you must behave like gentlemen!
Doesn’t your Wolf Tribe believe it is noble to challenge the strong, even if you must face defeat?”
The Wolf Tribe shaman who had stood out glared at Liu Zhenhan resentfully, then stepped forward to help the fallen silver-haired Wolf, Shaman Redkenap.
Shaking and grimacing in pain, Redkenap removed his own Medusa Badge, retreating the Ice Bear into the extradimensional hibernation space within the badge.
“Honorable Shaman Richard, your unique approach has left a deep impression on me.
To be frank, while I still doubt your abilities, as a Soul Singer, you have managed to defeat two Scepter Shamans.
That is about as far as my dull imagination could stretch,” Shaman Wei An uttered, hitting his own forehead before releasing a long sigh, and continued, “Never in the history of all kingdoms has any shaman used a magical beast that relies solely on physical attack.
I don’t know what enchanting herb your magical beast has eaten to have such terrifying strength.
That being said, it is undeniable that your magical beast’s magic attack is still pitifully weak.
Do you agree or not on this point?”
“I agree.” Liu Zhenhan had to admit it; when it comes to executing frosty spells, Guoguo was barely performing adequately.
“A magical beast that cannot harness enough magical power defeating two Scepter Shamans’ magical pets…
yes, this will become another joke about the Witherspoon Temple!” Shaman Wei An glanced at the beautiful shamaness in the corner, “It seems my decision to be the first to exclude Shaman Cui Beixi as a trial priest was unwise.”
The beautiful snake Medusa, holding Helen in her embrace, also watched Liu Zhenhan with a complicated gaze.
“I hope that all of you will not spread this incident.
After all, there is still a lot of controversy over Shaman Richard’s victory today,” Shaman Wei An said, weary, as he gave his temples a gentle rub, “Shaman Richard, you have the right to start choosing your next trial task.
You will have the right to make your music instrument, but you have to personally hunt for the magical beast’s crystal nucleus for the augmentation of your Song Power.
After completing this last task, all the shamans in the temple will discuss and decide on granting you a noble title and a corresponding Mining Village, based on your abilities.
That’s all for today.
My thoughts are jumbled; I am going to meditate now.
Notify the Witch Doctor to check on Shaman Redkenap’s injuries.
This concludes today’s proceedings.”
“I accept this mission!
Sir!” Liu Zhenhan grinned, exhilarated.
The long march had at last brought him the sight of Pagoda Mountain.
