Chapter 943: Chapter 222: Combining Punches and Kicks_2
"What’s the rush? Didn’t he say he would wait for us to punch? Let him wait then," thought Liu Zhenhan. Had it not been for this fool’s interference, they would have agreed earlier to the stupid dragon’s proposal for a group beating. With the small giant Iverson’s Gleaming Neutron Sword, there was no need for all these procedures.
"Why aren’t they coming up?" Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim poised himself and looked curiously at the two Bimon priests who were whispering to each other.
"Don’t rush, let’s discuss it more," Liu Zhenhan laughed heartily.
"If you don’t make a move soon, I won’t wait any longer. If you won’t fight, I will," said Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim, who obviously wouldn’t just sit and wait, rolling his amber eyes at the two Bimon priests.
"Well then, come on," Liu Zhenhan nodded provocatively at the Seven-Colored Dragon. "Getting beaten up is hardly honorable."
The corner of Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim’s mouth curled into a slight smile. He flexed his body, twisted his neck, and suddenly, with a few quick steps to gain momentum, he leapt into the air. Like a falcon swooping down, he charged at the two Bimon priests. The High Priest’s golden flute was swept from his waistband with a swoosh, followed by Liu Zhenhan’s surprised cry as his mithril arm was yanked backward by a tremendous force as if a frenzied elephant had grabbed it, sending him flying backward. Now Liu looked like a ghost emerging on a lake, smoothly moving backward in a bizarre and ungraceful manner, and with a splash, he fell from the Golden Crown Arena.
Now only the Head Priest Mourinho was left to face the Seven-Colored Dragon directly.
Still in mid-air, the Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim launched a spinning leg whip directly at Head Priest Mourinho’s head. Mourinho’s body, being made of flesh, was no match for the Seven-Colored Dragon’s metallic legs. Compared to this monstrously strong war creature, the calm Head Priest flapped his wings, soared, and took a big step backward to momentarily dodge the attack.
Having landed, Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim crouched for a sweeping leg kick, followed by a series of high, middle, and low kicks. He then spun like a frantic top, launching continuous kicks at an exaggerated rate. Each kick, carrying immense speed and force, seemed to vacuum the air around and aimed directly at Head Priest Mourinho’s body. His legs moved so fast it was hard to distinguish left from right; all one could see were the twisted, deep pits his spinning steps carved into the granite floor, which resembled butter scooped out by a spoon, marking deep impressions.
With stone debris flying and driven by centrifugal force, the Seven-Colored Dragon’s body completely unfurled, his whirlwind-like sweeping legs creating a storm of leg shadows and furious winds. He relentlessly pushed Mourinho back; a single strike could give Mourinho a fate similar to the granite on the ground.
On the Golden Crown Arena, Head Priest Mourinho made a move that sent the Bimon spectators’ blood boiling. Instead of retreating, he advanced, vibrating his fists, charging forward with his arms and fists to meet the Seven-Colored Dragon’s barrage of kicks. There was no dodging, no shifting, as the heroic Head Priest, his hair fluttering, faced the menace like the Bravest of Bimon warriors—choosing to fall rather than take a single step back!
Mourinho’s boxing style was not the traditional Saint Kailu method passed down among Bimons, but a brutally powerful style. It involved alternating between punches, palm edges, and claws, even using the elbows and forearms to counter the enemy. This heavy-handed style, primarily using the arms to grapple, clashed with the Seven-Colored Dragon’s heavy kicks in a deafening symphony resembling a Dwarf Blacksmith furiously hammering away at raw ore.
Their rapid legs and hands merged into a blur of interlaced light and shadows, dazzling to the extreme; only expert warriors with advanced martial skills could distinguish their movements!
The stands fell into a profound silence, with older officers nearly unable to believe their own eyes!
On the Pan Continent, there are two famous types of hand-to-hand combat techniques. One of them is the "Whirlwind Kick Technique" from the human Leon Kingdom, known for its practitioners who are proficient in kicking skills and have a universally recognized nickname, "Spider-Man," which means although they have only two legs, once they use their kicking skills, they are as formidable as having eight legs. The "Whirlwind Kick Technique" is adept at utilizing centrifugal force to amplify strength, and a powerful kicker, barefoot, can easily snap ten-inch iron bars and thick coconut trees; apart from kicking skills, the other hand-to-hand combat technique is the Barbarians’ national skill "Mijiaga Big Handprint," which after years of practice, high-ranking Barbarian warriors can smash a giant rock with just the palm of their hand.
Experts proficient in these two hand-to-hand combat techniques on the Aegean Continent are famously known as Fighters; every Fighter despises weapons, believing that only their bodies can be the best, fastest, deadliest, and most intimate weapons. Indeed, whether it’s kicking techniques or the big handprint, during the learning process, each Fighter immerses themselves in secretive medicines to increase bone strength, and when trained to a very high level, it’s entirely possible for Fighters to withstand weapons with their bodies, which might sound a bit sensational, but indeed, such extraordinary Fighters have historically existed—most kickers and big handprint masters obviously do not have such capability, hence they require the help of metal arm and leg guards.
The Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim’s exquisite leg technique is evidently the once widespread but now less commonly seen "Whirlwind Kick Technique" from Pan Continent! Being descendants of the Holy Giant Dragon means they are indeed intelligent enough to make any wise person envious; not only do they possess an exceptional talent in magic, but they also have supreme talent in martial arts—resilient bodies and keen comprehension allow them, with their long lives and the Dragon Clan’s archives, to comfortably learn and explore the mysteries of martial arts.
Moreover, having a metallic solid-state body gives the Seven-Colored Dragon an immense advantage when using such kicking techniques.
What’s even more unbelievable is Mourinho; the martial technique he is using is none other than the Barbarians’ national skill, "Mijiaga Big Handprint"!
Many generals in the stands had participated in the War of Southern Star against the Barbarians more than a decade ago, and even after so many years, they vividly remember that the Barbarians’ army might be the only armed force in the world that does not use weapons, equipped only with bronze armguards. In the War of Southern Star, Barbarian warriors broke countless Bimon warriors’ blades!
It’s truly baffling. Even though Mourinho has ten Barbarian followers, no one expected that this refined High Priest could possess such advanced hand-to-hand combat skills to withstand a fully metallic solid-state Seven-Colored Dragon; how incredibly hard must his skeleton be?
Is it steel? Or perhaps bronze? Every Bimon was left questioning themselves.
The loud clashing sounds, like pouring copper peas in an iron basket, resulted in seventy-six exchanges in what seemed like a mere instant, ending as Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim and the Swan High Priest Mourinho collided with their fists and legs, forcefully stepping back---the Swan High Priest took four steps back to steady himself, while the Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim stepped back six steps, kicking up a slab of stone.
The rocky ground of the arena had now turned into the surface of Xiang Pa, indented with rows of deep footprints by the two of them.
