Chapter 880: Chapter 201 A Novel Coronation Ceremony
Public opinion would unhesitatingly view a Beamon who dared challenge the spokesperson of the war god as an evil demon! For only an evil demon would have the audacity to challenge the justice that the war god represents! The spokesperson of the divine miracle is akin to the father of all the Beamons in the kingdom, enjoying the utmost reverence. You may dislike this father, you may detest him, even ignore him, but you have no choice but to respect him, for this father is the only one.
Prince Lionheart Kahn’s face also completely twitched.
The Shaman of Divine Songs is but an honorary title without any real power, yet this title is tantamount to a golden card of immunity, something the authorities particularly have to acknowledge.
"Let’s go!" Prince Lionheart roared to all the warriors of the "Whip of the War God" legion.
The prince had the Sword Armor Dragon, which was lying prone on the ground, stowed away in the Misha badge. He looked at Liu Shock with poisonous resentment, proudly held his head high, and followed behind Prince Kahn, disappearing into the crowd of soldiers.
"Damn it!" Liu Shock chuckled, "I feel like I can now stroll around the kingdom horizontally."
"Indeed you can." High Priest Brut Sensor, with a smile, gently patted his dry, old hands, looking over at Liu Shock.
Bent at the waist, Priest Bog Camp of the White Tiger paid his respects as he presented an antique wooden box over his head. The High Priest flicked the lid of the wooden box open with his fingers, revealing neatly stacked animal hide ceremonial robes inside.
The High Priest very reverently took out the ceremonial robe from the box and gazed at it for a long time.
Liu Shock glanced at it once, and his eyes stuck there, unable to look away.
The ceremonial robe was a deep purple color, made from hedgehog leather, covered with neatly arranged needle-like hairs laying flat. It had a distinctive character and looked quite spine-chilling. However, from the way Brut Sensor held it, the prickling needles not only did not stab, but they seemed rather soft.
The robe had a luxurious silver thread embroidery along the seams, double-breasted with all fasteners made from cross-shaped silver frames inlaid with crushed diamonds. The overall design was simple yet not plain, dignified yet unpretentious. A pair of high-top silver-edged hedgehog leather boots and a belt of hedgehog leather covered in spines were pressed on top of the robe. The gleaming silver belt buckle was engraved with complex and magical patterns and runes, from which one could faintly sense the fluctuation of elemental power.
Next to the broad belt, there was also a string of large skull necklaces, a huge pearl silver ring, and a tall hedgehog leather crown. There were a total of sixteen skulls on the necklace, each the size of a fist. Although lifelike, it was clear they were carved from some kind of bone because the eye sockets of the skulls were carved with mysterious elemental symbols and constellations. The crown had a shield-shaped silver badge at the heart—relief engraved with the family portrait of Misha, Leed, Medusa, and War God Kampas, along with some ancient inscriptions with special meanings.
Aside from the pearl silver ring, both the necklace and the crown carried a powerful elemental force.
Liu Shock casually looked around in an exaggerated manner.
He was ecstatic inside—this was the famed three-piece set of Shaman equipment! And they were all Shaman equipment bestowed with "Divine Blessing" by War God Kampas, usable only by the Shaman of Divine Songs.
The hedgehog leather ceremonial robe, bristling with spines, was none other than the "Singing Attire" passed down by the old Shamans of Divine Songs. This entire set of shaman robe, crown, and boots was said to have a history of over ten thousand years—a fact clearly documented in the codex. Legend had it that it was made from the fur of Hedgehog Leed, the beloved of the War God who died in battle, and has always been a sacred artifact of the Bimon Temple. Although made of fur, it was warm in winter and cool in summer. More magically, this "Singing Attire" doubled the Shaman of Divine Songs’ power and rapidly restored magic, without which ninety-five percent of Shaman of Divine Songs of low-level priesthood origin would find it a pipe dream to perform "Divine Song of War God’s Glory."
The string of large skull necklaces was also a sacred artifact of the temple. Each skull was carved from the teeth of War God’s beloved Giant Bear Misha, hollowed out, named "Roar of Rage." Wearing it granted the "Strength of Earth" and a once-daily "Shrink the Earth" ability. "Strength of Earth" meant a double amplification of physical strength, and with the "Shrink the Earth" Earth Element escape spell, "Roar of Rage" was quite suitable for Shamans of Divine Songs, who were physically weak with virtually no combat ability.
Wearing skull necklaces was very popular among ancient Beamon Shamans over five or six thousand years ago. Anyone wearing a counterfeit "Roar of Rage" was at the height of fashion, but this ancient Shaman custom was gradually phased out more than three thousand years ago because it looked too barbaric.
In today’s Bimon Kingdom, apart from the Shaman of Divine Songs, there wouldn’t be a second person seen wearing such a skull necklace.
As for the large pearl silver ring called "Dazzling Heart," it was a magic ring made from the serpent pearl of War God’s beloved Medusa. This magic ring, with the brilliant psychic power like Medusa’s starry heart, could freely seal a Magical Beast as a summonable pet.
If one possessed a sealed super-tier Magical Pet, even the clumsiest of priests could instantly transform into a heavenly priest. Sadly, this most crucial of rings for a priest had mysteriously vanished years ago, and with so much war, much of Beamon’s history had become an enigma.
The current "Dazzling Heart" magic ring was but a counterfeit produced by the temple, a Cypriot good without any special function, purely an ornament—a decoration for the deaf’s ears.
As for whether the "Singing Attire" was actually made from the fur of the Hedgehog Leed, or if the skull necklace "Roar of Rage" was truly crafted from the teeth of the Giant Bear Misha, and whether the "Dazzling Heart" really exists—no one could know.
If measured from a practical standpoint, crafting dual-attribute Magical Equipment like the "Singing Attire" and the "Roar of Rage" would indeed be very difficult, and equipment like the "Dazzling Heart," which supposedly seals any type of Magical Beast, is theoretically impractical.
However, this was clearly not something that Liu Shock had to worry about—he was now drooling over acquiring two pieces of Magical Equipment without spending a penny!
Although, for him, these two pieces of Magical Equipment were nearly useless.
"Your Highness Richard," the High Priest in red, Brut, smiled as he watched Liu Shock, who was looking around with exaggerated movements, "Only in your hands can this set of Shaman of Divine Songs attire truly fulfill its purpose. For years, finding the ’Dazzling Heart’ has been the duty of every Shaman of Divine Songs. However, the general frailty of the Shamans has caused this wish to be buried for countless years. We have high hopes that you can fulfill the temple’s longstanding desire!"
"I will certainly live up to your expectations," Liu Shock nodded and respectfully accepted the set of Shaman attire.
Two Rabbit Beauty maids came over obediently to help Liu Shock change into the Shaman robes, put on the crown, hang the skull necklace, and put on that Western-made Magical Ring.
Clothes make the man, just as a saddle makes the horse.
Adorned in the Shaman of Divine Songs robes, Liu Shock shimmered with a strange, purple glow that emanated majesty, making him too dazzling to look directly at. The luxurious silver accessories instantly transformed his demeanor from thuggish to noble, with elegance and authority coexisting in harmony. The seemingly savage skull necklace hung on his chest, exuding an air of solemn dignity. Paired with Liu Shock’s burly frame, a genteel composure and strong self-confidence emanated an overpowering presence that silenced the entire War God Plaza.
The silver adornments on the Shaman of Divine Songs’ chest, cuffs, and hat badge reflected a dazzling, bewildering light. Seeing the glint in the Shaman’s eyes sweep across the plaza, all the priests shivered and bowed their chests, greeting this newly inaugurated Shaman of Divine Songs with the utmost reverence: "Your Highness Richard, your servants greet the emissary appointed by the War God."
"My children," Liu Shock began his charade again, "Time records the generosity of the gods, and the years count their countless virtues. Devotion knows no limits, and the War God always bestows upon you a fatherly grace..."
In front of such profound and almost divine teachings, many young priests listened with faces full of rapture, while the older, more cynical ones rolled their eyes.
"...The unknown future is the driving force of our progress. God is with us all," Liu Shock, in a true Shaman of Divine Songs fashion, waved to all the priests.
"Your teachings will be a treasure for our lifetime," the priests cooperated in response.
The Chief Swan Priest and the High Priest in red stood by, smiling without speaking.
Liu Shock looked down at himself, feeling like a Hedgehog in the Shaman robes and that the tall hat made him look like a Mountain Eagle. As for the skull necklace, he felt like he was Sand Monk just crawling out of the Flowing Sands River.
All icons. Old Liu laughed; he decided he would immediately change his hairstyle to a punk haircut like that of Blade Saint Medusa, leaving a long strand of hair at the back of the head—definitely ultra-cool.
Guoguo had put on a bear fur hat and was standing in front of Liu Shock with a big tanned belly, small sunglasses perched on her nose bridge, looking up at him.
The second and third young masters came running over, grabbing the silky Hedgehog fur on the Shaman robe and scrambling upwards with their butts poked out, giggling nonstop.
"Damn it," the respectable-looking Shaman of Divine Songs looked down and admired himself with a pleasant gaze until finally, he gave himself away.
All were taken aback.
