Boiling Beast Bloodline -
Chapter 83 - 83 12 The Unscrupulous Brother-In-Law_1
83: Chapter 12 The Unscrupulous Brother-In-Law_1 83: Chapter 12 The Unscrupulous Brother-In-Law_1 The long voyage finally came to an end, and the airship “Penglai” ultimately docked.
On the coast lay a wasteland of basalt, and in the distance, a green meadow could be seen.
The wind blew gently across it, as tender as a lover’s breath.
The Sea Clan’s massive army appeared on both sides of the ship like magic.
Prince Similian commanded his men to lift a water-blue barrier frame, which was hung behind a carriage and made of seaweed.
The coast was somewhat shallow, and Whale Warriors patrolled in the distance, occasionally glancing over.
Next to Liu Zhenhan, Avril was enclosed in a large wooden box filled with water.
Her tail flapped happily in the liquid, occasionally splashing droplets around.
“Sister!” The Prince shouted anxiously.
“Please, remain calm, Your Highness,” Liu Zhenhan interrupted him.
“Prince, please allow my crew to disembark first.
Forgive my ignorance and despicableness, but I fear if your Storm Splitter mages accidentally unleashed a storm magic, my hundreds of crew members would be done for.”
“I could have destroyed your ship a thousand times during the voyage!” Prince Similian could not conceal his anger.
“Your suspicions are comparable to those of a human!
Beamon.”
“One must always be prepared for the unexpected.
If it’s not a problem, I’ll let my crew leave first.” Liu Zhenhan waved his hand, and Gude began to set up the gangway.
He directed the crew to carry large and small bags onto the shore.
Everyone wore coolie hats, and as the gentle breeze blew, the veils on the hats fluttered like dandelions in the wind.
“A slave trader?” Prince Similian sized up this seemingly honest Beamon, puzzled at how clever he appeared.
“Just a small business.” Liu Zhenhan casually said, “I was actually thinking of signing an agreement with your Seia Sea Nation.
As long as you allow me to sail in your seas, I can supply you with a significant number of weapons and armor each year!”
“Armor and weapons?
Hmm…
which country allows private sales of weapons and armor?
The price of pure steel is equivalent to silver coins; don’t think I don’t know that!” Prince Similian did not believe him.
“I forgot to tell you, my father-in-law is the highest officer of the Beamon’s Northeast province.” Liu Zhenhan lied without batting an eye, staying composed even when his lies were pierced through.
“Really?” Prince Similian did notice a breathtakingly beautiful Fox Tribe woman walking off the gangway with a lady wearing a coolie hat.
He was ready to take action but suppressed his greedy heart, knowing that his sister was still in their hands.
“My mines have five thousand dwarf slaves toiling day and night.
The swords they create can slice even the finest human Milan armor as easily as a knife through butter!” Liu Zhenhan, knowing that the dwarfs were excellent blacksmiths, exaggerated wildly to buy time.
“Really?” Prince Similian was interested.
The Sea Clan’s most significant constraint was weapons and armor.
The Sea Clan army’s armors, made from seaweed and coral, and the weapons created from fish bones, did not meet the standards of war.
Humans consistently refused to open up weapon trade entirely, with only a few inferior weapons entering the Sea Clan’s hands.
These poor-quality weapons often rusted quickly when submerged in seawater and were not durable.
If what this Beamon was saying is true, it would be worth considering.
“Truer than pearls!” Liu Zhenhan upped his rhetoric again, swearing to the righteous War God, “Although our Beamon weapons might look crude, their quality is definitely not inferior to humans.”
Prince Similian began to hesitate at no merchant revealing his weakness, seeing Liu Zhenhan’s honest appearance.
“You should know, Your Highness, that I had a slight conflict with your sister, the noble Princess, that day.
Do you remember how I killed so many Magic Shark Knights?
It was all thanks to our weapons!
Our weapons can easily tear through tough bodies.
Even the robust Seahorse of the Princess was pierced by one of my men!” Liu Zhenhan seized the opportunity to make his case while signaling his crew on the ship to speed up.
“What conditions do you want?” Prince Similian was irresistibly moved.
He decided to have a proper discussion with this Beamon.
Obtaining high-quality weapons would be of great benefit to the Seia Sea Clan.
Their constant war with the Ares Sea Clan in the waters beyond Napoleonic Cape could quickly be swept up with superior weapons, claiming the entire Aegean Sea area.
“I need…” Liu Zhenhan started off at length, deliberating after each sentence.
Seeing that only Guoguo was left on the ship, struggling to carry a large turtle shell onto the shore, Liu Zhenhan cheerfully concluded his quote.
On the distant hills, a large group of people watched as he haggled with the Prince.
“We cannot accept these terms, can you make any concessions?” Completely engrossed in the excitement of the negotiation, the Prince thought the Beamon’s low prices were too good to be true, putting him in a frenzied mood to bargain
The prince suddenly found this Beamon to be adorably naive.
“Too expensive?” Liu Zhenhan scratched his head, laughing inwardly.
“All right!
I will present ten Fawkes singers and dancers to Your Highness, I hope the prince will not bargain anymore!”
“Great, great!” The Prince’s eyes lit up.
“I want the one from earlier!”
“Do you want the one with the clamshell too?
She’s my slave!
If the Prince wants her, I’ll give her to you!” Liu Zhenhan generously waved his hand.
“Your generosity leaves me speechless!” The Prince’s eyes moistened.
This Beamon was considerate!
“I’ll go ashore to call them over, wait for me.” Liu Zhenhan bowed obsequiously, slowly walking up the gangway towards the shore, picking up speed as he went until he was running.
“Your Highness!” A mage, filled with doubt, said to Prince Similian, “Since when could the Fawkes tribe and the Piegel race intermarry?
They are in a master-servant relationship!
How could a commoner possibly marry a noble?”
“Damn it!” The prince realized, “He fooled me!”
“At least my Avril is still here.
They probably tricked us to escape to avoid being hurt.
These cowardly clown fish, they even abandoned their own comrades!” The prince saw his sister Avril splashing in a wooden box at the bow of the ship and his anxiety eased.
Just as he finished speaking, the image of Avril in the water box became blurry.
The collapsing Water Elements shattered like a broken mirror, crystallized and fell, fading like smoke on the water.
“Go check it out!” Prince Similian almost jumped up.
“There is only water in the box, Prince!” An octopus warrior who was good at climbing stuck his smooth head out from above.
“Could that Beamon create an illusion of the princess using Water Elements?
Could it be a Water Element Mage?” Several Storm Sorcerers looked at each other in disbelief.
“Vile, shameless, despicable, filthy creature!” The prince’s eyes turned blood-red as he slowly turned his head towards the Orc shaman running wildly on the hillside, and abruptly removed his helmet.
The prince’s handsome profile twisted with rage.
A deep blue barrier flashed in front of him.
The tranquil beach immediately turned into a violent whirlpool.
The swirling sea waters made it hard even for the Sea Clan to keep their footing.
The blue barrier, filled with sea water that was draining in powerfully, gradually rose to the sky, transforming into a wave as high as ten blades rushing towards Liu Zhenhan in the distance.
Liu Zhenhan was placing Guoguo, whom he had met halfway, on his shoulder.
He grabbed the tortoise shell and continued to run.
From her high vantage point, Helen saw the wave as high as ten blades approaching Liu Zhenhan with the speed of a hurricane.
Her eyes widened in shock.
The wave gradually began to transform into a herd of hundreds of horses made of seawater, with the sound of their pounding hooves like thunder chasing after the plodding Liu Zhenhan.
The horses, formed by the Water Elements, tossed their long manes as they ran, their beautiful yet rugged muscles trembling with each gallop.
The ground shook under the stampeding herd of water-made horses.
Standing on the hillside, Helen distinctly saw small pebbles being shaken down the slope.
Helen tightly held onto Ning Yu’s hand; suddenly, she felt a sting on her hand and looked back.
It was Avril desperately holding onto her hand.
Wearing her conical hat, she was peering anxiously at Liu Zhenhan carrying the tortoise shell and running towards the slope from the lowland.
“I’m sorry…” Noticing Helen staring at her, Avril hurriedly let go of Helen’s hand while continuously apologizing.
“Your brother’s ‘Domain Barrier’ is really powerful!” Helen observed the damage left behind by the rushing horse-wave.
Everything, the ship and the vegetation on the ground, were all wrecked beyond recognition.
“That is his ‘Beast Wave Barrier’.
If it wasn’t to catch up with Richard, he would typically turn a wave into a giant whale and swallow everything effortlessly.” Avril didn’t dare blink, her eyes were fixed on Liu Zhenhan.
Indeed, the speed of the charging horses was astonishing.
Even with Liu Zhenhan carrying the huge shell and running as fast as he could, he was soon caught up.
There were only a few dozen blades to go before reaching high ground.
The roaring group of horses created a huge force of wave, crashing down onto the running Liu Zhenhan.
With a large wave cover, the ground around the open field rumbled.
All the people gasped in astonishment.
Some of the younger sailors fell on the ground, going pale with fear.
Such a grand spectacle was a once in a lifetime sight for many.
After the wave made its final hit, it surged forward a good arrow’s length before dissipating like the receding tide, trickling down from the hill.
Everywhere on the grass around was the dreadfully deep hoof prints, each half an inch deep.
Large hoof prints were filled with the receding water.
Even some protruding basalt rocks had cracks from the trampling.
Liu Zhenhan was still running, running with his head down.
There wasn’t a single droplet of water on him, he was as dry as if he had just run out of a desert.
Everyone was whispering and pointing fingers at him.
Ning Yu was laughing elegantly.
Liu Zhenhan stopped and turned to wave at Prince Similian in the sea.
Guoguo was lying on his head, holding a blue pearl in her arms, waving her arm affectionately with Liu Zhenhan, there were signs of tears in her eyes.
Then this despicable Orc said something that almost made the Prince of the Sea Clan faint.
“Goodbye!
My dear Similian, Uncle of Poseidon!!”
