Chapter 777: Chapter 169 Busy Doing Nothing_4
"I’ve been waiting for my strength to fully recover. Don’t you know that tearing through space, from Poso Continent to Furious Flame Continent, is a very mentally draining task?" The sky-bound Evil-eye Tyrant curled a toothy smile onto its huge, toothy mouth: "I’m getting old, unfit to be a magical pet. Yet, my mental power isn’t half bad. It should cancel out the renowned wild call of a Soul Singer."
This monster hadn’t uttered a single word since the beginning and only communicated through mental power. Prince Moore, riding on a troll-faced bat, was grim and standing aside, constantly rolling his eyes at Liu Zhenhan. His gaze was obnoxious. At this point, all the Moore air force was retreating, leaving only the prince and a handful of guards holding back here.
"Have you recharged your energy?" Liu Zhenhan felt an unease in the creature’s words.
"I’ve got my energy back." The Evil Eye blinked its single eye: "Do you know something, dear Mr. Beamon, I have been secretly helping you."
"Where shall we start?" Liu Zhenhan sneered: "Does attacking my Gerein count as help?"
"Why not?" The tentacles around the head of the Evil Eye swelled: "Isn’t it now your ring spirit? Your battle power has not reduced but instead increased due to absorbing the magical elements in the blood of a super-class magical beast. Look, I even helped you control this Six-winged Flame Demon, and I even accidentally killed two mages and a Tide Lord for you. I’ve been working so hard to prevent this Six-winged Flame Demon from being killed by the mob, so it couldn’t provide you with the opportunity to absorb magic power."
"What do you mean?" Liu Zhenhan glanced at the nearby militia then locked his eyes on the Evil Eye. The well-trained militiamen picked up on his cue and quickly formed a tight formation. Gude roared, using his spear to keep the Antelope Warriors in line. Several militia leaders prepared the space rings for immediate loading.
The Six-winged Flame Demon, flapping its wings, flew stupidly in front of Liu Zhenhan and landed. The flame on the demon’s body was mostly gone, revealing a pitch-black silhouette that resembled a bundle of bamboo charcoal. Its 10 meter tall figure didn’t look robust but rather gaunt - skin clung tightly to bones at several places. The Flame Demon had six hands – four short ones and two long ones, making it look deformed. The longest pair was about three meters, and instead of fingers, they sprouted oversized thorn-like tubes. Sporadically, sparks flew out of the thorns and extinguished instantly.
"This is my present to you. Absorb its magic power!" The Evil Eye looked at old Liu as if seeking credit.
"Obliging is better than being courteous." Liu Zhenhan was filled with suspicion but not one to pass up an advantage. Since the Evil Eye said so, he didn’t hesitate, picked up a Totem Pillar, and knocked down the Six-winged Flame Demon, smashing the demon’s throat several times. Liu Zhenhan then jumped up and broke the demon’s brittle and cracked neck with his Mithril fist. Breaking others’ spinal cords to kill them was something Liu Zhenhan always excelled at.
The Six-winged Flame Demon, controlled by the Evil Eye, cooperated with Liu Zhenhan’s movement from start to finish without any resistance. At the moment of death, there was a change in its eyes, but Liu Zhenhan’s heavy punch quickly dimmed it. After absorbing the blood magic power of the Flame Demon, Liu Zhenhan’s limbs were filled with new vitality.
The radiant halo around Liu Zhenhan’s neck disappeared and turned into a Crescent Blade. The blood-red blade shone brightly, and the blade body was wrapped in evergreen vine patterns, revolving around Liu Zhenhan’s body, emitting a strong elemental fluctuation.
"Finally, I am a Magic Tutor." Within a day, he had absorbed the blood elements of three super-level magical beasts; even Liu Zhenhan, a greedy glutton, felt it was a bit excessive. The fact that the Evil Eye gifted him a super-level magical beast seemed even more incredible.
"Unfortunately! You haven’t reached the level of Magic Tutor yet. To become a Blood Magic Tutor, you first must have two magic shield balls, one in the shape of the sun and another in the shape of the moon. You’ve only achieved one standard, so you can only be considered a very excellent Blood Magic Teacher." The Evil Eye explained.
"Stop messing around!" Yi Tiao, his face full of blisters, couldn’t bear it anymore, saying angrily: "Meatball, I know you’re very powerful! If you really have the ability, come down and fight mano a mano!"
"Such a violent magical pet." The Evil Eye grinned.
"Boss, this guy looks down upon your magical pet." Yi Tiao turned his head to look at old Liu with an awkward expression.
Liu Zhenhan threw back his head and laughed wildly. His Mithril arm suddenly thrust out, flashing a phantom-like red light. As the glow swept over, the lower part of the Evil Eye’s sphere-like body contracted as if it were an anus, secreting a spray of light gray liquid in the air.
Yi Tiao’s movement towards the sky was swift, leaving an afterimage behind. He had already lunged towards the grey-white liquid.
Unfortunately, the Evil Eye was faster. An eyeball on one tentacle shot out a fiery red beam towards the falling gray-white liquid, creating a sizzle and a puff of smoke, evaporating the liquid. Simultaneously, four other tentacles sprayed out four different colored beams, crossing each other in the air, aiming at the rushing Yi Tiao.
However swiftly Yi Tiao moved, he couldn’t outrun the speed of light. He could only watch as the grey-white liquid evaporated. Of course, the chances of him being hit by those four strange beams while he maneuvered in the sky were also slim. He had a strong sixth sense about being targeted. So long as he changed his flight trajectory slightly, there was no way those four differently colored strange beams could hit him.
However, Yi Tiao was still hit by one beam.
