Chapter 762: Chapter 165: The Silver Fist Still Carries the Cold Firelight_3

"Reptile!" The Flame Emperor bellowed again, his mighty roar causing two nearby volcanoes to tremble. "Does your ability to fly signify your escape from the Flame Emperor’s punishment?"

In the Flame Emperor’s sinister laughter, he radiated a blindingly dazzling white light, which vanished immediately. In place of the twelve-meter-high monster stood a robust young man of about two meters. He had handsome features, eyes that burned with a fiery passion, and long flowing hair as red as flame that swept across his shoulders. His bare, muscular upper body was marred by a wound, a bullet-sized hole in his abdomen. Dressed in long pants and boots that seemed woven from solid flame, he looked like the god of fire elementals, Karsus incarnate.

This was the humanoid form of the Flame Emperor after ascension, and despite the transformation, there was no decrease in his magical power or physical strength. Moreover, he now possessed an even greater agility.

A pair of fiery wings spread on the back of the Flame Emperor, Basturk, fluttering in the wind. As flares of red plume danced away, the Flame Emperor rose into the air of the Salino Swamp, his laughter echoing all around.

Except for wind magic, magical powers of other elements at a low level could not bestow the ability to fly. But after reaching a high-level form, as long as the weight was appropriate, flight was possible. The act of soaring through the sky purely with non-wind magical power in itself was the ultimate demonstration of magical prowess!

Now, the Flame Emperor hovered before Mihai, casually chanting a series of obscure magic spells.

Mihai paid no heed to the Flame Emperor; his eyes welled up with tears.

Looking down, there was a colossal piece of obsidian, hurled at him by the Flame Emperor Basturk. The stone, saturated with fire elemental magic power, had turned searing red and semi-transparent. Within it, a figure of a fire crane caught mid-flight. The solidified figure resembled a prehistoric animal trapped inside amber. The crane, amidst the fire, appeared lively, its features clearly distinguishable.

Suddenly, nine flaming snakes enveloped Mihai, as his tears flew in all directions.

A smile formed on the beautiful face of the Flame Emperor. Noticing that Mihai no longer had the flickering of the sacrificial holy fire, the Flame Emperor couldn’t hide his satisfaction with his beautifully executed magic attack.

The smile on the Flame Emperor’s face froze instantly.

In front of him, nestled within the fire rose a silvery fist.

A massive bang echoed.

The Flame Emperor’s head reeled back, blood gushing from his nose. As the Winged Pegasus closed in, Mihai leaped forward from its saddle, summoning a towering electric cannon with his right hand. He grabbed the Flame Emperor’s neck and started dragging him towards the ground.

Despite the Flame Emperor’s strength and not sensing any magic immunity equipment on Mihai, his feathery wings of flame surprisingly extinguished in an instant. Suddenly bereft of flight ability and without any mistake of his own, the Flame Emperor felt like he was falling into an abyss.

Having realized his folly, the Flame Emperor, in a frantic attempt, reverted to his original state to withstand the collision with his bulky body. Just as these giants hit the ground, a tremendous shockwave emanated. The magma on the ground splashed everywhere. The fall from a height of hundreds of meters did not much affect the Flame Emperor. The force of the Mithril fist, however, left a bitter taste. As Mihai, the powerful Beamon fell from the sky, he used his knee to hit the Flame Emperor hard, causing the Flame Emperor Basturk to reel backward in pain.

Up until now, the Flame Emperor couldn’t comprehend why Mihai, being a Mage, didn’t use any magic at all, only relying on physical attacks!

In haste, the Flame Emperor once again transitioned to his humanoid form, attempting to use his agile form to hold his ground. This, however, proved disastrous. Mihai beat the Flame Emperor brutally. The Flame Emperor found his Instant Magic to be entirely ineffective against Mihai. Other than some super-level magical beasts, there were only a few instances of entities having the power of fire immunity in the entire plane. The Flame Emperor was left baffled about Mihai’s source of fire immunity without the "Sacrificial Fire".

To Mihai’s question, the Flame Emperor’s answer was quite simple - a leg whip from Mihai that struck the Flame Emperor’s feet.

The Flame Emperor, who believed his superior agility in his humanoid form coupled with his raw power would give him an edge, was left gasping. His agility surely was impressive but Mihai’s relentless combos left him with no time to respond. He surely had great power, but Mihai was nothing to scoff at. After a few punches and kicks from Mihai, the high-tailing Flame Emperor had to admit, in his pride, that compared to Mihai, he felt as helpless as a mole in front of a night-owl. The gap in their prowess in physical combat was as great as the gap between the Flame Emperor’s original and humanoid form.
