Chapter 760: Chapter 165: The Silver Fist Still Carries the Cold Firelight_1
A massive, resonating sound of skeletal friction rang inch by inch across the body of Flame Lord Basturk, causing the unsightly blisters, resembling toads’ warts, to deflate all over his body, spurting out black smoke. Magic auras coiled and danced around him, and the Fire Spirits in the sea of flames let out their silvery, jubilant cheers.
Like a withered tree suddenly drenched in nourishing spring rain, Flame Lord Basturk, baptized in the lava waterfall, closed his eyes in contentment and let out a groan of enjoyment. As the flowing lava slid over his wounds, the raw wounds gradually filled up, erasing the terrifying blisters that adorned his body. In their place, black, sharp spikes protruded slowly but robustly from his body. If Basturk had previously resembled a peeling toad, he now looked more like an unripe eggplant stem.
A series of deep, authoritative growls originated from deep within the Flame Lord’s throat. The Soul Fire that pierced souls and space transformed into raging flames that swallowed up his feet. An even brighter ball of fire erupted from his face, reducing his features to a blurry silhouette. Three fork-shaped horns grew out from his head at an angle, and thick obsidian-looking armor emerged on his shoulders. The part of his torso not covered by fire rapidly assimilated itself into a system of new skin resembling honeycombed volcanic rock, giving the initial impression of unparalleled hardness.
"Who are you really?" asked the Flame Lord Basturk, slowly opening his eyes. Still encased in flames, he stared at Liu Zhenhan, his fiery eyes intimidatingly sharp.
Liu Zhenhan made no small talk. He reached out his Mithril arm, swirling blood around it, resembling a playful sea dragon. There was green blood – from the Salt Frost Giant, black blood – from the Bato Demon, and crimson blood – from the Ymir Minotaur. These, combined with the whirling assortment of other magical beast’s blood, formed a neon, colorful "Cocktail Blood."
Those who fall at the hand of Lord Liu are never nobodies.
"Is this your way of showing off?" Flame Lord Basturk asked, a deep amusement apparent in his voice. His recent transformation had obviously boosted his confidence significantly.
Now, the Flame Lord bore a gaze that suggested he was looking down at the world, not like the cautious and shrewd gaze he displayed earlier. His demeanor changed as quickly as a pauper finding a swollen wallet.
Liu Zhenhan squinted at the Flame Lord and raised his clenched fist towards the seven-colored blood on his Mithril arm. He gently spread his fingers as a red thread quietly snaked out from the blood and flowed into his right palm. Ten golden spheres, speckled with blood-red, exploded and arranged themselves neatly around Liu Zhenhan’s neck. They revolved aimlessly, resembling the beautiful comet halo around the planet Pluto.
"It’s really the easiest introductory Fallen Magic!" Liu Zhenhan looked up at the towering Flame Lord. "I didn’t expect to reach the level of apprentice Mage by just slaughtering three Bato Demons, fifteen Ymir Minotaurs, two Salt Frost Giants, and a few dozens of Magical Beasts. A normal Mage would take at least four or five years to reach this realm, no matter how intelligent they are."
"Even this kind of Magic Shield can’t block my Instant Magic," the Flame Lord Basturk roared with laughter, the sound echoing around the area.
"What if I took you down and then extracted your blood essence? Could I skip straight to the Mage Class? Then, could these shields block the high-level magic?" Liu Zhenhan crossed his arms and asked the Flame Lord with a sneer.
"They wouldn’t." Flame Lord Basturk confidently explained, "In the essence of magic, Fallen Magic is slightly inferior. Not only is it not mainstream, it’s no match against Fire Magic, the most potent among the four main elements of magic. As a Fire Magic specialist, I have the authority to comment."
"Whether it works or not, we have to try to find out," Liu Zhenhan chuckled and called upon his Ring Spirit Pegasus, "We can both verify it."
"Arrogant beings like you are the commonality among those lowly creatures. Insignificant beings always like to bolster their courage with various reasons, unlike us Magical Beasts that respect the strong. Do you know why I’ve been wasting my breath with a lowly creature like you?" Flame Lord Basturk laughed loudly.
"Because you think you have everything under control," Liu Zhenhan smirked slyly, giving the Flame Lord a cursory pat. He then snatched the T-Head Knight’s spear from the Ring Spirit Knight’s hand and kicked the knight back into the barrier.
