Chapter 691: Chapter 145 Meeting Old Friends in a Foreign Place_1
Mosoburada City was the first major city built by the Dark Elves after they descended underground. Above the entire city was an Underground Sun that was dozens of states larger than the real Emperor Polo, teeming with noisy Golden Crows, illuminating the home of the Drow.
The entire Mosoburada City was an artificially transformed city suitable for Elves to reside in, crafted by cutting and repairing a 200-meter-high subterranean mountain. The city stretched out in immense solemnity, majestic yet grand. Such magnificent architecture could only be the result of the pioneering abilities of Dwarf Artisans, the aesthetic designs of Elves, and the accumulation of time. No other possibilities exist.
Upon first seeing this city, Liu Zhenhan was utterly and thoroughly astounded. Such a city, save for perhaps in a knight’s novel, was something that Liu Zhenhan could not fathom seeing in real life - an engineering project as grand as it was seemingly impossible.
Half of Mosoburada City was mountain, half was city. The most noticeable structures were the sharp Fighting Towers at the top and the wide Spider Temple. Numerous residences and Elf unique wooden vine buildings surrounded the mountain, stacking up like terraced fields. Liu Zhenhan had to admit, only under the colossal Underground Sun that bathed Mosoburada City could the sufficient photosynthesis the crawling plants needed be provided.
At the foot of Mosoburada City ran a partially artificial, partially natural river. Meandering around the city and then trailing away to the north, this river was approximately fifty yards wide, with a huge suspension bridge spanning from the city gate to the opposite bank.
As a hub, the Drow had established eight cities ruled over by Dark Elves over thousands of years. Despite lacking the direct rule of the Queen and the constant underground struggles and confrontations between the ladies of the major cities, Mosoburada City, the largest of the Drow cities, was absolutely qualified to be the capital of the Underworld Drow Elves in a certain sense.
They chose here to meet Liu Zhenhan, which demonstrated their sincerity - if they had any.
The Beamon Lord and twelve Moore Air Knights riding Troll Bats could not directly enter Mosoburada City because on the outskirts of the city, in an undergrowth woodland, Prince Moore and his entourage were anxiously waiting for the Beamon lord’s arrival. Apparently, they also did not receive permission to enter Mosoburada City.
Liu Zhenhan waved energetically at the distant Prince Moore while airborne, holding up his Mithril arm. Prince Benitez waved to the great lord with a smile, his roughly one hundred attendants surrounding him. A long-abandoned Goblin shop stood near them, the Goblin text and Giant Beast images fading on the stone walls. Their mounts, the Troll Bats, were resting upside down from the stone eaves, looking like enormous black cocoons.
When the Pegasus and Troll Bats enter the field of vision of Mosoburada City, sharp horns sounded from within the city. Before the twelve bat riders and Liu Zhenhan could land near the Goblin shop, dozens of huge beastly figures soared out from the giant Totem Pillars of Mosoburada City. After circling a couple of times, the massive figures shot up into the air, flying slowly but oppressively towards them.
The first thing Liu felt was a jolt of fear, as these massive figures looked too much like Giant Dragons from afar. Seeing the Dark Elves, Knights and such a multitude of Dragon Knights suddenly appearing left him, a Dragon Priest unafraid of heaven or earth, covered in goosebumps. However, he soon remembered something. In the ancient alliance, the Giant Dragon Clan had only agreed to be ridden by the Beamon. No other races had this right. Just as a Unicorn would only ever serve as the mount to a pure maiden, this implicit taboo definitely existed. Could it be possible for Elves to have Dragon Knights?
Moreover, if these Dark Elves really had such a large number of Dragon Knights, wouldn’t they have easily thrown off the Hell Black Dragon’s control?
Considering this, Liu Zhenhan was suddenly filled with doubts.
It was not until these figures approached that Liu Zhenhan, upon closer inspection, realized that these flying beasts were just like Giant Dragons. Their bodies were huge, but uncomfortably cumbersome. They had two massive heads, a massive goat’s head and a massive lion’s head. Instead of sharp dragon claws, they had robust lion’s feet, their backs were covered in spurs, and they dragged a long snake tail.
These flying beasts bore a striking resemblance to super-level Warcraft—"Chimaera". Although Liu Zhenhan had not personally seen a Chimaera, he still knew the fundamental knowledge of a Chimaera having three heads as a Priest who had conducted professional research into Warcraft.
Seeing the strong opposition from their counterparts, the twelve Troll Bat Knights immediately drew their Calyx Longswords, one hand began to charge with magic power, and they became fully alert.
