Chapter 595: Chapter 125-126 The older the ginger, the spicier it gets_2

"Pretending to be a gentleman? You’re just an idiot!" Liu Zhenhan, in a fit of despair, turned around and, full of suppressed anger, began to repeatedly bash his head against the door. He wished he could smash a hole in it with his skull. At this moment, he even fantasized about slashing his throat with a kitchen knife.

Over and over, the regret gnawed at him, the discontent never abated. Liu Zhenhan halted his stupid act of head-butting the door. Actively ignoring his embarrassment, he flung the door open, intent on seeking out Daisy again.

Step forward failed as he surveyed the silent, desolate hallway. A gust of cold swooshed past him causing his embarrassment to resurface. How was he going to find her? Was he going to proclaim in front of everyone to Daisy: "Come back! I changed my mind!"

Yet how could he find the courage to speak such words? Grinding his teeth, his fists clenched tightly to suppress his emotions.

Like a madman, Liu Zhenhan crouched in the hallway, fiercely puffing on his cigar. He alternated between sighs of regret and self-consoling reassurances, clearly showing signs of neurosis.

He lost track of time...

"You’re such a hypocrite" Daisy’s voice suddenly whispered into Liu Zhenhan’s ears.

Liu froze instantly. He wanted to turn around but was too ashamed. His face turned red, heat spreading all the way down to his neck. The cigar, held tight between his fingers, was burning down to his skin but he felt no pain; his mouth was agape in shock.

Instant Teleportation! The Fairy Dragon’s Instant Teleportation! As long as the spatial passage wasn’t sealed, a Fairy Dragon could teleport in and out whenever they wished!

Immersed in his self-reproach, his thought tangled, Liu hadn’t noticed when Daisy teleported back into his room. Worse still, he had no clue when she had crept up behind him.

She didn’t overhear everything I said, did she? Liu was mortified. If there were a hole in the ground he’d dig in, or squeeze himself into it if he had to. This is so embarrassing! Unbearably so!

"Did you know..." Daisy was flushed but her voice quick, "when I saw you sever your own arm for Avril... I fell deeply in love with you."

Liu’s hands stiffened around his cigar. Ashes dropped through his clenched fingers.

"It’s not that you’re not tender, it’s just that most women do not comprehend your gentle side. I do."

"All my women will have to leave me eventually because of the Holy Curse," Liu swallowed, holding Daisy’s frail hand with his only remaining one. Although his face was still burning with embarrassment, a sliver of joy had emerged in his heart.

"If my loved one would sever an arm for me willingly, I would accept eternity’s sleep. Even though it’s dire," Daisy’s face leaned against Liu’s strong shoulder. Her voice seemed to drift from a dreamy mist.

"Did you even tell me that you love me?"

"Just come over here."

"No, I want you to answer me first!" Daisy teleported again.

"Of course I love you! How could I not!" Liu was going dizzy. He despised the Fairy Dragon’s Instant Teleportation ability, so he answered in soft murmurs.

"Why do you love me? I want to know why." Daisy’s sparkling wide eyes looked at Liu curiously.

"Does love need a reason?"

But at this moment, something unexpected happened. Nana suddenly arrived, giving both of them quite a shock.

"Nana..."

"Daisy, I want you to tell me personally." Ruona’s voice was eerily calm, "Did you fall in love with Richard?"

"Yes." Daisy responded resolutely, "Ever since he willingly sacrificed an arm for Avril, I realized that I deeply loved him. I couldn’t explain why."

"No wonder you always speak highly of him," Nana spoke in a faint voice, "I see... "

Master Puskas, the great Mage of Saint Chiao, was brought smirking by a nun the next morning. His eyes were gleaming mirth while gazing at Liu Zhenhan, squinting as if he could barely contain his amusement.

If Liu Zhenhan was an attractive head-turner like Emperor Polo, then Master Puskas would be the ordinary man you wouldn’t spot in a crowd. The master’s ordinary demeanor belied his greatness, making it hard for anyone to believe he was indeed the fabled Saint Chiao Mage.

But for his bright eyes that emitted an oppressive, intense gleam, Master Puskas was just an ordinary, frail old man. In contrast, Liu Zhenhan’s gaze was a perpetual display of his fearless spirit. No matter how much he tried to suppress his aggression, the intimidating gaze never left.

In that regard, Master Puskas had an edge over Liu Zhenhan.

That day, the old man was in high spirits. He entered the room, started greeting everyone cheerfully, and warmly shook Liu Zhenhan’s hand as if they were old friends.

As soon as Katusha saw the little nun, it started mewling pitifully. The nun pitied her and scooped Katusha into her arms, showering the creature with kisses.

"Did Daisy’s pimples disappear?" The old man’s voice ranged in dramatic variations, purposefully adopting a melancholic tune.

Daisy and Ruona, who were already restless, became even more uncomfortable at his words.
