Chapter 532: Chapter 112 Stirring up Dust and Controversy_10
"I wonder how big of a rank my followers can achieve if they become Holy Temple Knights?" Liu Zhenhan asked, grinning like an idiot.
"They are outstanding warriors, they can get the best training at the grassroots level." said the High Priest.
This statement even made the normally sly Fawkes, the Scepter Shaman, smirk. Since even the plebeians of FLC are so tough, you would still lose your teeth in a fight with them, even if you were a Golden Knight.
"How about if I join the ranks too? I’m a priest who also dabbles in combat, violence is my strong suit!" Liu Zhenhan asked with a poker face.
"A priest is a priest. How can you merge it with Holy Temple Knights." Lord Mourinho smiled with a touch of annoyance.
"Oh..." Liu Zhenhan obediently nodded in agreement.
"Richard, there’s something else the master would like your help with." The High Priest said solemnly, "As you know, I am the Overlord of the Bode Tribe. I was told by Gortani that in the Underground World, our Bird Clan’s harpy and a group of the Tauren from the Buer Tribe hid there after the battle at Heigar. I was planning to go rescue them this time, but with the sudden appearance of Medusa and the Worm Beamon, I have to return to the temple to pass my duties on to the Red Robe High Priest. I was wondering if you could help me save the harpies of the Bird Clan, and the Taurens of the Buer Tribe from the Underground World. By doing this, all of our Beamon tribes will be united. What do you think?"
"I have a few things to take care of recently, so let’s talk about this once everything is all set up like the stores, alright?" Liu Zhenhan asked.
"That’s fine." The High Priest agreed without hesitation.
"Master, I am officially proposing to you, I want to marry Miss Gortani, what do you say..." Liu Zhenhan suddenly said something shocking.
His look was sincere.
The people around were baffled. Gortani’s face turned as red as a ruby, with her pure white feathers trembling. Her face was a mix of confusion and anticipation.
Lord Mourinho was momentarily stunned, but quickly recovered.
"Richard, you sure know how to joke..." Her father’s words left her disheartened.
"I’m not joking." Liu Zhenhan said earnestly.
"Let’s talk about this after you become the Red Robe High Priest." Lord Mourinho didn’t easily concede like a kid.
"So are you agreeing by saying that?" Liu Zhenhan’s response is typical of the Pigiel race, stubbornly holding onto his point.
"You’re not marrying a human princess, but you want to marry my daughter?" A flicker of disdain passed through the High Priest’s eyes, causing him to lose composure for the first time that night. Without paying attention, nobody would’ve noticed.
"That’s because Gortani is prettier." Elder Liu exhaled a plume of cigar smoke.
"Richard, stop with the nonsense. Females of our Swan Tribe have never married any other races." Lord Mourinho said with a slightly exasperated smile.
"Wouldn’t it be different if it’s the Double Dragon Ceremony?" Liu Zhenhan asked pitifully. The two Fairy Dragons stood behind Liu Zhenhan, letting their cloaks flutter off their heads.
Everyone except the Swan High Priest remained calm.
"Fairy Dragons?" Lord Mourinho suddenly rose from his seat. His gaze was intensely sharp and riveted on the Medusa Cui Beixi.
"Richard!" Medusa’s voice contained a strong tint of playfulness and dissatisfaction.
"Can’t I do it even as the only Double Dragon Ceremony priest of the Bimon Kingdom?" Liu Zhenhan took another drag on his cigar.
"A child’s marriage has nothing to do with their power." Lord Mourinho’s gaze swiftly returned to its calm state, as he shook his priest robe and returned to his seat.
"Master, I was just teasing you. How could a Pigiel possibly marry a Swan? Moreover, I’m disabled." Liu Zhenhan laughed heartily.
"It seems like you’ve unknowingly surpassed me. You’re on the level of Tamerlarya." The Swan High Priest cast a gentle gaze upon the Pigiel before him.
Guoguo jumped on the table, carrying a large belly as he scrutinized the Swan High Priest, sniffing non-stop with his tiny nose.
"A cigar I don’t smoke ~
Has been with me for so many years ~
A single step forward ~
A line that annoys me is dangerous ~"
Liu Zhenhan hummed a little nursery rhyme from FLC.
"I’m proud of you." Lord Mourinho said sincerely.
Liu Zhenhan didn’t say anything in response. He stubbed out the cigar on the table, picked up the wine glass, and lightly clinked glasses with Lord Mourinho. He drank all the cold wind in the cup in one gulp.
