Chapter 444: Chapter 96: Immortal Crane Divine Needle_5

"Use your brain!" Liu Zhenhan pointed at his head.

"This battle suit is good. Look at the size, it seems like I can also wear it." Gude’s eyes gleamed with excitement.

"I think so too." Bellamy grinned at O’Neal the Hippo, who stood at a towering height of five meters, making the battle armor seem ill-fitted for him.

"I’m taking it!" O’Neal was the first to charge ahead.

The hippo bards followed behind, brandishing their massive shields and battle axes.

The pandas and the Mastiff People stayed where they were, looking at each other. "Who’s he grabbing that for?"

Although the heavy armor of the Mithril Basest Warriors had been lightened by the wind array, it still weighed about two hundred pounds. Their strength was insufficient compared to the brute force of the Bimon militiamen, making their movements stilted. However, their dense formation compensated for this. Seeing the hippo bards charging, the Mithril warriors immediately swung their warhammers.

With a loud "clash", a dent appeared on the eagle-shaped massive shield held by the hippos. Their axes struck a shower of sparks off the Mithril warriors’ shields.

Despite their heavy armor, the warriors were thrown backward, landing squarely on the ground. They quickly shook off the dizziness and struggled to stand.

O’Neal and his group hurriedly retreated.

"Damn it! This isn’t working! We can’t cut through!" O’Neal was vexed. "We need to get a bigger hammer to smash them!"

"And where are we going to find a bigger hammer?" Bellamy retorted, rolling his eyes.

"In the cave, where else?" Not bothering to look back, O’Neal led the hippos away.

Gude and the pandas, holding heavy dragon spears, swept past them. These militiamen borrowed from the cavalry quickly took up positions in front of the Mithril warriors.

No matter how hard the Mithril warriors tried, they were constantly pushed back by the dragons’ spears. Their strength was simply no match for the panda warriors, and they were soon bundled together like cow dung pushed around by a pitchfork.

After a bout of confusion, the Mithril warriors dispersed from the rear, only to have large bamboo baskets marked "Handle with Care" drop from the sky, landing amidst their ranks. A series of booming explosions sent debris flying in all directions, and the Mithril warriors all fell to the ground.

The explosion seemed to shake the whole of Jade City, even causing a red clay roof to crack.

Gude led the pandas in a swift retreat. Although they were far from the blast, the shockwaves still made their ears ring. The rain of fire from above was unbearable. Even with their vine armor, it was best to get out of the way.

"Idiots! Did you think we, the Bimon militia, only carry large knives? Double-powder gourds are our real weapons!" O’Neal and a dozen hippo bards held their sides, laughing uproariously. Some of them were even carrying large double-powder gourds.

"Those with a sharp mind truly are the most lethal." Daisy turned around to glance at O’Neal with a shudder.

Although the Mithril warriors had strong magical resistance, they couldn’t evade the shockwaves from the explosions. Some were fatally injured, bleeding from their orifices, while others suffered concussions. They lay on the ground helplessly as the fire burned around them. About a dozen who managed to escape the blast were quickly overpowered by the militia. The pandas and Mastiff People might not have had warhammers, but a hundred or two hundred pounds of weapon striking their heads was not something the Mithril warriors could endure.

A drizzle gradually quenched the flames from above.

Firing magical rain spells from the hill, Avril shouted at the Bimons, "What are you waiting for? Go strip those armors!"

Even Liu Zhenhan joined in the fray, swiftly stealing away all the armors and boxes from the hundred Mithril warriors.

A large group of humans also charged over, but were promptly pushed back by the magic beasts and the mages. They were too far to be of any assistance. As the Dragon Knights started to move, a dragon perched on the Red Earth Square, holding onto its giant cleaver with its wing.

The three human mages remained in deep thought on the sideline, their eyes occasionally flashing with a brilliant light.

"It’s our turn now! Damn Bimons!" The Dragon Knight roared in fury.

"Dummy~dummy~dummy~dummy~" Guoguo returned, perched on a parrot, after having disappeared for a while.

"Brother, if you have any last words, you better say them now. I fear you won’t have a chance later." Liu Zhenhan stepped forward with a ferocious grin, holding onto the Berserker’s battle axe, along with the two-edged great axe forged from rare metals left behind by the Berserker leader.

The Immortal Crane dropped its wing-held cleaver and flew over, its featherless wings flapping vigorously.

Guoguo staggered over, holding Katusha. Strapped to her belly was a crossbow, a scroll was held in her mouth, and a thick steel needle was clamped onto her nose. She was armed to the teeth.

After a long while, Liu Zhenhan realized the thick steel needle on Guoguo’s nose was a transformed version of the dagger he’d hidden within the dragon crystal hilt. The needle tip was coated with a multitude of colorful poisons.

Liu Zhenhan glanced at Guoguo’s steel needle, then at the Immortal Crane.

"This look isn’t bad." Liu chuckled mischievously.

I make no secret that I like robust warriors and violence. Some readers accuse me of stretching the plot. I’m confused. Aren’t all my Chapters filled with meaningful content? Aren’t I narrating about the warriors within this world I’ve built? I believe that many of my troop types haven’t appeared in other books, right?

Last thing, vote for me, the underground adventure is about to begin.
