Chapter 322: Chapter 66 - Turning Earth into Gold_3
"May I ask the distinguished fairy dragon if the "Gold-Pointing Mulberry" on Razor Mountain still produces the "Morading’s Fury"?" The Musketeer Ardu shyly asked.
"The largest Gold-Pointing Mulberry tree just reached eight hundred years old this year. The fruit used in Deko’s war with you guys was the first batch. This one was snatched from the Ancient Power Dwarf Tribe," the Fairy Dragon sighed. "That tribe could become so arrogant because they had a Gold-Pointing Mulberry almost seven hundred years old. The other Gold-Pointing Mulberries were all cultivated from stolen seeds and only a few decades old. These incredible plants that take ten years to bear fruit were severely damaged by that Fei Wenli Python’s rampage. Because we don’t hold the unique cultivation method of the Ancient Power Dwarves, we lose one every time one is destroyed."
Cui Beixi turned around. Her gaze swept over the outside of the door where the hilltop lay strewn with broken branches and leaves, causing the beautiful serpent instructor to wince in pain.
"As long as that eight hundred-year-old tree exists, I don’t have to worry about anything." Liu was delighted when he thought of the "Life Spring" stored in the cave.
"Your vast knowledge truly opened our eyes." Cui Beixi politely thanked the Fairy Dragon.
"For decades, you must have accumulated plenty of Vajra, right? Why haven’t I seen a single Vajra Weapon?" Liu, drumming his nails and returning to the Goblin king’s throne, happily asked the Fairy Dragon.
"We plundered about four hundred Gold-Pointing Mulberry seeds from the Ancient Power Dwarf Tribe. We didn’t know how to cultivate them and ended up with less than a hundred trees. Each Gold-Pointing Mulberry produces around fifty pounds of Vajra per year. They didn’t bear fruit for the first ten years and we have been harvesting for about twenty years now. The total storage is around one hundred thousand pounds," The Fairy Dragon explained. "I have been studying the creation of magic weapons in famous weapon shop across various human nations on the Aegean Continent for decades in order to perfect the Ancient Power firegun. But the deeper I delved into it, the harder it became. Etching a potent Wind Magic Array that can launch Morading’s Fury thousands of yards high on a little hammer, without the reincarnation of the dwarf master Daogen, can’t be achieved with the current level of alchemy on the Aegean Continent."
"Didn’t any human see through your disguise?" Liu asked curiously.
"We dragons naturally know how to subtly change our appearances. As long as we deliberately stay low-key and don’t settle down in one place for long, it’s not difficult to hide our identity." The Fairy Dragon rolled her eyes at him.
"Impressive!"
"That’s nothing. We Fairy Dragons regard learning as life. I have studied theology in the Church of Saint Francisco, philosophy, and thought at the Montaigne Academy in the Fonteid Empire, and received systematic combat command training at the Teutonic Knights School at the Noireville Duchy. Of course, I always enrolled incognito or under false names, and my performance was never outstanding."
"Your training was fabulous; integrating the goblins like that isn’t easy," Liu said honestly.
"Are you praising yourself, my dear Overlord? Didn’t you defeat them?" The Fairy Dragon pointed out.
"One last question. Since you always claim that these goblins have repented, why did they attack Fei Lengcui this time?" Liu tried to ask as tactfully as possible.
"As long as one Fei Lengcui sets foot on the southern shore of the Sanggan River, the nobles of the Bimon Kingdom will swarm in. When you took over their living space, the goblins had no choice but to fight," The Fairy Dragon coldly stated.
"Goblins, remember this: the one who urged me to fight with you was Prince Richard of the Bimon Kingdom. When you seek revenge in the future, find him, not me!" Liu rolled up his sleeve, acting as a megaphone, and created chaos.
"Last question’s answered, fulfill your promise quickly," The Fairy Dragon urged anxiously.
"Give me all the Vajra first, then I’ll keep my promise," Liu’s tone made the Fairy Dragon feel a bit off.
"It’s under your seat. Lift the obsidian throne, there’s a big cellar beneath it, storing all the Vajra," the Fairy Dragon fought to keep her anger down.
"Since you studied forging, that’s even better. Help me forge these Vajras into some Vajra weapons, don’t worry, you won’t need to do the hard tasks, I have plenty of people to assist you. You just need to guide them. I’ll complete my promise to free you after the weapons are done. Remember!" Liu pointed at the fuming Fairy Dragon and yelled, "It’s not that I won’t let you go, but you have to do something for me first to compensate for my loss. My wife was poisoned because of you, and you should show some remorse!"
Guoguo’s small head leaned over and nodded vigorously.
The Fairy Dragon gritted her teeth and looked at the two of them but didn’t respond for a long time.
"Won’t you agree?" Liu approached her with narrowed eyes and lifted her beautiful face with his finger.
The Fairy Dragon turned her face away and remained silent.
"I have a line that will bring you to your knees," Liu declared.
The Fairy Dragon turned to stare at him, her gaze filled with disdain, she firmly declared, "I would rather die than submit!"
"Kill all the goblins for me! Attack the Fairy Dragon first!" Liu turned back and ordered Guoguo.
Guoguo stood tall, immediately took off the Medusa Badge pinned to her bikini top and prepared to summon the Bolang Sand Cranes. One small claw motioned towards the Fairy Dragon.
"Who said I’m not agreeing! I agree..." The disdain in the Fairy Dragon’s eyes magically disappeared.
Liu roared with laughter.
"I have a condition as well," despite trying to suppress her rage, the Fairy Dragon took a deep breath.
"Speak."
"I can help you make weapons. But these goblins, you must acknowledge them as civilians! You cannot plunder their property, and you cannot degrade them into slaves without freedom!"
"That’s easy! I’ll organise the population registration immediately. They will become the second batch of civilians in Fei Lengcui. They will be free; I won’t touch a penny of their private property, but the Gold-Pointing Mulberries and Vajra are all mine!"
"Deal."
The Fairy Dragon stepped out the door, going outside to comfort the frightened and leaderless Goblins.
"Are you really going to let this Fairy Dragon go?" Cui Beixi quietly asked Liu.
"Instructor," Liu chuckled, "You shouldn’t even have to ask."
