Chapter 310: Chapter 62 Emerald Dream_2
The Fairy Dragon’s face showed a slight hint of joy. The green halo swirled again around her, and with a soft shout, she flung out a beam of golden flames onto the Fei Wenli Python. The spreading fire was even fiercer than the previous melon-sized ones and splattered around like erupting molten lava.
The flames chased the python into a violent roll. Its enormous tail swung wildly, stirring up dust and debris.
Despite being a beast of wisdom, the python, whose scales were now sizzling due to the intense heat, swiftly slithered towards the water tower beside the trench. Its flaming tail swished, bringing down the hard wooden frame of the tower. The giant water storage barrel fell heavily onto the python, shattering into countless pieces. Ice and water, like a torrential wave, dumped over the python, reluctantly extinguishing the flames.
This Giant Crane turned out to be a fire-elemental beast. Liu Zhenhan breathed a sigh of relief.
As long as he had the Fire Avoidance Dragon Pearl, he wouldn’t be afraid of fire-elemental beasts.
The massively burned python opened a path, darting into the trench. Its initial anger had been replaced by fear, as if it had encountered its natural enemy.
"Trying to escape?" Liu Zhenhan burst into laughter. He said, "Not until you return my Wolf Fang Club from inside your stomach."
As Liu Zhenhan waved his fingers, a dazzling ray of sunlight flashed by. Two giant Golden Figures - one prone, the other upright - appeared beside the Fei Wenli Python. With a rumbling sound that resembled a landslide, the standing Golden Figure sat on the ground. The whole hill trembled under the impact.
The Fei Wenli Python, which was slithering towards the depth of the trench, suddenly raised its head. Its lower jaw opened wide in apparent agony.
It’s back half had just been sat on by the golden figure. Whether it was a creature or not, being sat upon by a 240,000-pound golden figure would be no more comfortable than it was for the Mantis Python.
Just now, the Golden Figure, with its mere weight, had easily squished the tail of the Fei Wenli Python.
Liu Zhenhan was quite pleased with himself. This was a trick he had just learned from the Fairy Dragon by observing the goblins using reclining stone statues to crush their way through a mountain road. Why couldn’t he roll the Golden Figures on the ground too?
If he had used the golden figures this way before, he wouldn’t have destroyed two of them in just half a year.
The Fairy Dragon was stunned, as she hadn’t anticipated the appearance of these two terrifying golden figures.
The Fei Wenli Python, being a prehistoric demon beast, was no pushover. In desperation, it began to coil around the Golden Figure, its charred and blistered body slowly winding up. Blood soaked the mighty body of the Golden Figure from the cut-off tail.
The Mantis Python began to constrict its body around the Golden Figure, attempting to shatter it. The rings of reverse scales on the python’s body scraped against the Golden Figure, creating a sharp noise. The remaining shriveled-up front claw desperately clawed at the chest of the Golden Figure, trying to damage the metal monster.
Under Liu Zhenhan’s command, the Golden Figures slowly fell over and began to roll on the ground.
The short trees on the ground were crushed to a pulp, and the places it rolled over even caused the ground to sink evenly into a depression.
The faces of goblins turned paler. If this giant golden figure were to roll over their houses, or their bodies... none of them dared to imagine.
Even though the python lost part of its tail to the Golden Figure’s rolling, it wasn’t crushed completely and immediately. It coiled up around the Golden Figure in a circular shape, significantly reducing the pressure. Its tough-yet-elastic scales quickly adjusted to the Golden Figure’s rolling force, transferring most of its weight to the ground.
After adapting to the rolling force of the Golden Figure, the horrifying python head began to incessantly bite onto the Golden Figure’s head with its jagged teeth. Poisonous fangs fiercely shot towards this terrifying opponent, staging one vigorous resistance after another.
The Golden Figure’s arm was tightly locked by the twenty blades long body of the Mantis Python, unable to move at all.
Liu Zhenhan saw the brass flakes from the Golden Figure being bit by the giant python and felt a pang in his heart! He swiftly recalled the two Golden Figures, a ripple flickered in the air and the Mantis Python fell on the ground with a "clatter", still remaining twisted in a circle.
Liu Zhenhan raised another thumb, preparing to release two more Golden Figures to teach this giant python a lesson; no sooner had he moved than the figure of the Giant Crane beating its wings in the air came darting in. Wrapped in a fierce wind that made it impossible to keep one’s eyes open, its sharp beak like a sword pecked at the Python’s head, piercing it like a lance breaking through the armor tier, then with a dull sound, the Giant Python’s other eye was also blinded.
After a successful blow, the Giant Crane’s talons immediately grabbed the vital part of the python, flapped its wings, and soared to the high sky.
The giant python, weighing at least a ton, forced the Giant Crane to flap its wings even harder. Each beat of its wings swept across the mountaintop like a hurricane, forming tiny tornadoes and lifting leaves and snow high into the air. Except for Liu Zhenhan who remained standing, everyone else was crouching down like rolling gourds, even the Fairy Dragon instantly teleported away.
"Damn, its wings alone can counter wind magic," Liu Zhenhan muttered.
Everyone was looking up at the sky, watching the Giant Crane become a mere speck in the sky. Moments later, something fell from the sky, causing an enormous boom that blasted snow in all directions as the Fei Wenli Python was smashed onto the mountaintop fence.
The fall caused the scales of the Fei Wenli Python to scatter everywhere, its belly flipped over, and the wooden fence next to it was smashed to pieces.
The Giant Crane descended gracefully from the sky, tore open the python’s tough scales with just one claw, and plucked out the still beating snake gall from inside. Its sword-like beak pecked fiercely. Before it, the python’s prideful scales seemed like worn-out leather, falling apart with one strike.
The Python’s head, which it could barely lift, seemed to be begging for mercy. However, the Giant Crane showed no mercy. Its beak acted as its mouthpiece, swiftly turning the python’s head into a honeycomb.
The militiamen stood outside the fence, dumbfounded.
Gude broke at the realization of his spear being outperformed by a bird’s beak in sharpness.
Opening the python’s head with one claw, the Giant Crane took out a shining green pearl and a tower-shaped colorful magic crystal from inside. Holding the Python Bead and Magic Crystal in one claw and the pulsating snake gall in the other, it flapped its wings, banked, and with a sky-shaking cry, landed neatly on the playground where Liu Zhenhan and the teleported Fairy Dragon were standing off.
"Do you see the power of the Giant Crane now? I advise you. . . . . ." before the Fairy Dragon could finish its sentence, Liu Zhenhan had already thrown Guoguo into the air. Guoguo’s chubby body gracefully latched onto the neck of the Giant Crane, swinging onto its head and grabbing hold of its bright red comb.
The Fairy Dragon’s face changed, while Liu Zhenhan looked casual.
The Giant Crane felt something on its head and shook it a few times trying to shake it off, while Guoguo was laughing up there, her butt glued to its head, swinging back and forth like on a swing, her face full of joy.
"What do you want to do?" the Fairy Dragon frowned and asked.
"Crap! You guys still won’t surrender!" Liu Zhenhan finally blurted out the line he had prepared.
"Surrender?" The Fairy Dragon responded both amused and confused, looking at Liu Zhenhan like he was crazy, "Why should I surrender?"
"Respected Fairy Dragon, don’t mistake ignorance for personality," Liu Zhenhan said. "I don’t care why the noble dragon clan came to the human world, but I can tell you this, if you stick your neck out, you need to show your worth. Just like begging for food in the wilderness, without strength as your token, everything else is just empty talk! Let me say it one more time, failure to surrender only has one outcome, and that’s extinction!"
"This is my answer," the Fairy Dragon released a long, continuous, rolling flame like a red ribbon, continuously burning this boastful Beamon.
