Chapter 251: Chapter 43 Madness_3

"Lord..." With tears in her eyes, a deeply moved Vieri spoke.

"Rules are established by the strong! So... Who is the master of the Thousand Miles Wilderness?" Liu Zhenhan brutally pushed Cui Beixi aside, spread his arms wide, asking the cold wind and the militia around him.

"Lord Richard!" A thunderous shout erupted around him.

"What is everyone waiting for?" Liu Zhenhan flicked his head, pointed forward, and declared, "Let’s move!"

In the midst of roaring cheers from the militia, Cui Beixi’s eyes suddenly turned deep green, enveloping Liu Zhenhan in a ray-like pale green light.

Liu Zhenhan immediately stiffened, unable to move anything but his eyeballs, his pose still commanding. The breeze softly stirred his golden hair.

A face full of determination.

"What are you all staring at?" Avril’s shouting brought everyone back to reality.

The Mastiff People were the most loyal. Seeing that their lord had suddenly frozen in place and Cui Beixi behaving uncharacteristically, they formed a circle around the beautiful snake woman, armed with wooden sticks, as soon as Avril finished speaking.

Gude and the pandas stood rigid for a moment. With a reverse grip, they readied their icy spears towards the beautiful snake priestess.

"Don’t panic!" Ning Yu roared loudly, stopping Avril who had already started ripping a shell scroll apart.

"Stop, Bellamy! It’s just Medusa’s Gaze Petrification Technique, it wonn’t hurt Lord Richard!" Helen too shouted forcefully.

"I think you need to calm down." The beautiful snake lady, disregardless of the fiery glares from the people around her, gently touched Liu Zhenhan’s face in an apology. Her eyes were full of complex emotions.

Liu Zhenhan’s eyes were spinning. If looks could curse, Cui Beixi would be covered in spit and mucus.

"Give Richard time to reflect. If he still stands by his beliefs after the petrification has worn off, he can do as he wishes..." Cui Beixi flippantly left after leaving these words behind.

"I want to curse at you!" Liu Zhenhan wanted to vent his anger, but found himself unable to utter a word.

"Obischillaci! What kind of petrification spell is this? It’s like the paralysis they mentioned in the storybooks that I used to hear. " Liu Zhenhan thought to himself.

"Didn’t expect you to be bold." Gortani walked by Liu Zhenhan, pausing briefly.

The militia watched their boss and boss’s wife, unsure of how to react.

"Richard, it seems like you think of yourself as a real Beamon!" Helen sighed and wrapped Liu Zhenhan in her cloak.

Guoguo and the piglet rolled their eyes in disbelief.

The wind began to pick up.

Liu Zhenhan’s eyes, beneath his disheveled hair, shone like the moonlight over a wilderness, a beacon of intense determination.

*******************************************************************************

The curling "Xiang Pa" bathed in the dim moonlight had a touch of chill.

The dew was heavy, drops of water hung on the berry bushes, ready to drip.

A thin layer of fog that reached up to the shin enveloped the wilderness.

Within the territory of Vieri, a tumultuous noise filled the air.

The Night Pearls of the Magic Fountain illuminated their surroundings under the water’s glow.

Twelve Mammoth Elephants were led out from the wild animal pens at the bottom of the highland by Mammoth herculean men into a single line.

The hair on the tall Mammoths was combed neatly. The Mammoth women, holding bowls, used water and crushed the Thousand-leaf Nymphaea to create a black dye with which they coloured the Mammoths’ hair.

Korina stood on a grindstone, brushing the blade of her knife. A basin of turbid water lay on the ground.

"Dye the blades of the ivory knives black!" Liu Zhenhan, a cigar in his mouth and his head waggling awkwardly, gave orders, waving his arm.

"Why?" Korina asked in surprise.

"So it won’t reflect light when slashing, giving them nowhere to hide," smoke gracefully drifted from the cigar in Liu Zhenhan’s mouth as he spoke.

It had been three hours since Medusa Cui Beixi used her "Gaze Petrification Technique" on Liu Zhenhan. This petrification spell, which only worked on non-virgins, was indeed powerful. It made Liu Zhenhan, who thought he was almost immune to magic, realize one terrifying fact - there was always someone better.

However, it was certainly not an excuse for him to give up.

Cui Beixi, standing at the entrance of her cave on the Red Earth Highland, coldly watched Liu Zhenhan who was busy preparing for battle.

Helen stood by her side, her hand firmly held by Cui Beixi.

Liu Zhenhan stretched out his arms. Ning Yu and Avril were helping him fasten the ties of his vine armor around his ribcage.

Liu Zhenhan’s eyes met Cui Beixi’s who was standing on the Red Earth Highland.

Cui Beixi immediately avoided that strange and terrifying gaze, for it was full of fire and destruction.

The beautiful snake lady turned and dragged the unwilling Helen back into the cave.

The bamboo leaf curtain of the cave could not conceal the roaring sound from outside.

"Have you got the blood-soaked ceremonial velvet ready? Are the knives sharpened? Has the poison been applied to your weapons?" Liu Zhenhan’s howling was so fierce that it seemed to shake the entire Red Earth Highland.

"Ready!" The militia roared back.

"Go rescue our brethren of the Deer Tribe! Even if it means death, I want them to die by my hands! I absolutely won’t allow them to be transported to the land of humans, to have the musk glands cruelly removed from their bodies while they’re alive!"

"Yes!"

"Today, we don’t need to take prisoners! The green party monks, you will temporarily act as my attendant swordsmen and will participate in the assault with me!"

"Yes, Lord!"

"Show me your bravery through the enemies’ heads! Let’s go!"

The stomping of Mammoth Elephants felt like ancient war drums beating in the hearts of Cui Beixi and Helen.

"Teacher, I think..." Helen started.

"I won’t allow you to go with them!" The beautiful snake lady interrupted with a grim face: "This mess has left me confused. Let me be for a while."

Helen fell silent.

She quietly lifted the bamboo curtain and saw that twelve Mammoths, each carrying a group of fully armed soldiers, were moving towards the depths of the wilderness.

Unexpectedly, Helen noticed Gortani clad in her silver helmet and armor, standing on a protruding rock on the southeast corner of the Red Earth Highland, watching the retreating shadows of the militia. Her platinum hair fluttered in the wind, her sword by her side, her cape billowing.
