Chapter 225: Chapter 33 The Muscle Man of the House Clan_2

"Obischillaci!" Richard looked around again, feeling vastly relieved. "I never would’ve thought! Incredible! Edge Lake has become so beautiful in a blink of an eye! Who could’ve guessed? Avril, that lazy lass, even made a magic scroll for the fountain! Unbelievable!"

"Just leave all that to us. You’re a man. As long as you can eat and drink, you’re good. We women will handle the decor. You’re not allowed to interfere," Ning Yu playfully twisted his nose, nearly tugging out the green onion stuffed in it.

"Slaves! Drag this goddess statue to the square in front of the Red Earth Highland! Quickly!" Richard commanded his slaves. "This statue of the goddess holding a tray would be perfect as a fountain!"

"You’ve gained more followers," Ning Yu looked at his slaves and laughed.

"I’m exhausted! No more talking!" Richard blushed, realizing he was not handling this matter very gracefully. He quickly excused himself. "I’m heading out to the kilns. I’ll tell you more about it tonight."

Korina approached slowly in the distance, aware that Lord Richard was back from the roars of the mammoth giant elephants.

Korina clenched her hands, her face blushed, and she walked hesitantly. Behind her was her son, small Vincent, who was gnawing robustly on a slat banana, his face smeared with drool and snot.

"I was just looking for you!" Richard glared at him angrily.

The ogre slaves tiptoed past the elephant warriors, scared that they might make a mistake and anger the horrific giant.

"Oh, no! Lord..." Korina looked at the green onion in Richard’s nostrils and broke into a cold sweat.

Wasn’t this stuffing a green onion inside the Pigy’s nose--- pretending to be an elephant?

Korina protested, "Lord Richard, this is racial discrimination!"

"I feel for you, pal," Gude gnawed on some bamboo, gave Korina a pat on the shoulder, and nodded sorrowfully.

Just as Richard was about to retort, a sharp whistle blew from the hedgehog man on top of Red Earth Highland—it was an alarm call.

The intense, urgent whistle shattered Edge Lake’s tranquility.

Hearing this tense alarm, the pandas dropped their bamboo shoots, their faces contorting.

Apparently, disturbing a panda’s meal was a terrifying event. The slaves thought.

Elephant warriors emerged from the kilns, many still swallowing remains of slat bananas, with expressions of fiery fury.

Four Pier race Mantis monks and Elder Andulan also appeared, obviously alarmed by the warning whistle.

A Kunke skunk holding the Lord’s flag on Red Earth Highland was vigorously waving a spear towards the back of the highland.

"It seems we have strong enemies sneaking up on us from behind. Follow me!" Richard pulled out "Close Formation", and with a swing of his arm...

All the militiamen in Edge Lake picked up their weapons and followed Lord Richard in a dauntless march to the back of Red Earth Highland. The Mastiff People, weaponless, each picked up a large stone and rested it on their shoulders. The slaves watched groups of elephant warriors striding by with ivory cleavers, their eyes bulging. A few who were slow to escape were hit by the elephant warriors’ shoulders, rolling around on the ground.

"Follow me!" Karu also swung his arm.

The Bear Goblins and ogres collectively hit him on the back of his head.

Ning Yu immediately beckoned the boys and girls to quickly return to the kilns, everything was proceeding in an orderly and tense manner.

Helen, who was planting the Thousand-leaf Nymphaea at the edge of Red Earth Highland, was now full of green vines. She looked up to see the militiamen and Richard marching like the wind past her. Unsure of what was happening, she looked around, confused.

Several hundred meters behind Red Earth Highland was a slope made of layers of quartzite. Past the slope was an open mudflat.

During the spring tide every year, the Sanggan River flooded the mudflat. It was now the dry season, and the wet riverbed lay bare. Dense reeds grew on the mudflats. White reed flowers swayed in the wind, showing off their soft waists. The sound of Sanggan River water hitting the reed roots echoed from afar.

Liu Zhenhan and the militiamen searched but they found no trace of the enemy.

The hilltop was filled with young boys, girls and relatives of the vassal clans, all pointing and gesturing towards the distant right. The hill was thirty to forty blades high, too windy to hear clearly what they were shouting.

Liu Zhenhan abruptly remembered how Avril went to the river to look for shells to use for a magic scroll, he was startled and quickly rushed over.

Indeed, something had happened to Avril.

On the mudflats by the bank of Sanggan River, a drenched Avril stood clutching a stack of shells, her face filled with anger as she berated out loud.

Those she was scolding were four or five dozen Beamon strapping men standing in the shallow water. These Beamon men had gleaming dark skin, uncommonly large heads resting on strong shoulders, their facial structures resembling the Piegel race. The river water reached their waists, their heights were hard to discern, but their robustness was evident. Their shoulder spans could even rival Beamon warriors.

These Beamon men were constantly shrugging helplessly at Avril’s scolding, occasionally opening their wide mouths – that stretched to their ears – to answer back.

Their mouths were simply too big, seeing the cleaver-like teeth inside made Liu Zhenhan feel apprehensive.

"You bloody hell, which unsighted beast dares to go wild on my turf! Avril, get back here right now!" Liu Zhenhan yelled aloud, beating the race against the mudflats each foot sinking with each step.

When Avril noticed it was Richard, she quickly dashed over, her light body swiftly traversing the mudflats.

"What happened?" Liu Zhenhan struggled to shake the sticky mud off his boots. These Beamon men did not seem malicious. If they wished to harm someone, Avril’s half-hearted water element magic wouldn’t even stand a chance even if it were doubled.

"They crossed the line!" Avril’s face was red with anger. "I was collecting shells in the water and just as I swam to the shallows getting ready to go ashore, a head suddenly popped up next to me and even smiled at me. That mouth was so big, it was bubbling in the water! It scared the life out of me."

Avril made an exaggerated gesture to illustrate the terror of that enormous mouth.

"So you cursed at them just for that?" Liu Zhenhan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. The young sentry stationed on the hilltop was overly sensitive.

"They were too rude! Being ugly isn’t their fault, but scaring people is. I’m still a princess, after all..." Avril was furious.

The faces of the militiamen who rushed over were all turning red, especially Gude, who touched his own black eye circle and looked quite dejected.

From a distance, those Beamon men were muttering something, they also walked up from the water to the mudflats. Their heights indeed matched that of the Orephin elephants, around two blades and five, a bit shorter than the mammoth warriors, but still extremely impressive.

They were only wearing short leather pants, bare-chested, layers of fat folds on their bodies, their large eyeballs moving around agilely.

"God! Is this still Red Earth Highland? Oh~ blessed Maria!" A leading strong man made a peace dove gesture and sighed.

"Who are you?" Liu Zhenhan glared at them fiercely and asked. Guoguo and Whiskers jumped off his shoulder, turning their necks ninety degrees to look at these strong men.

"Oh~ blessed Maria! We are..." the leading Beamon strong man just wanted to open his mouth, and Elder Andulan rushed over panting heavily from behind, holding his waist with both hands, panting for a while, then said,"Don’t misunderstand... they are our people! They are..."

"I know they are our people; I can see they are Beamon, praise God!" Liu Zhenhan mimicked the tone of a noble, "But they charged at the relatives of the Lord, this is unforgivable!"

"Richard! Wait a moment!" Helen also rushed over.

Helen waved her hand first to let the tense militiamen around her put down their weapons, and then said to Liu Zhenhan, "Richard! You didn’t even ask who they were before accusing them!"

No matter who they are, I’m the boss here. Liu Zhenhan thought.

"They are the Haus people, vassals of the Pier race. Richard, your wanton accusation of other nobles’ subjects can cause unnecessary disputes. Besides, the Sanggan River is not within your territory..." Helen took a breath.
