Chapter 210: Chapter 1: Complete Wilderness (Free) & Chapter 2: Sharoman’s Ceremony _2

Bellamy started working with the Mastiff People. The soil in the wasteland was somewhat soft. When he stepped on goblins, their wrists would sink into the earth. Their bones did not snap, so Bellamy crossed two daggers under his own foot, and just one step caused a bone to explode.

Even the usually brave Avril was afraid to look. She hid behind Ning Yu, covering her face.

"Mister Ogre, do you agree with my approach?" Liu Zhenhan looked at the dumbstruck ogre on the ground.

Karu, the ogre, was terrified. His two rows of teeth were set on edge due to fear.

"Silence is approval. Since you are my noble mount, I should give you a brand." Liu Zhenhan laughed heartily, puffing on his cigar that was burning with hot sparks. With a sizzle, he pressed it onto the ogre’s groin.

A burnt smell lingered in the air.

"Ah..." The ogre, Karu’s large eyes twirled around in lonely pain as he uttered a painful moan from the depth of his soul.

The journey was silent after that.

The goblins who had been stubbornly resisting would no longer appear. Only the poor ogre, Karu, pulling the cart, used all his strength.

Guoguo picked up a few stones and kept flinging them at Karu’s butt.

Karu’s skin was all muddy, both dark and dirty, but his butt was white, a very noticeable target.

Karu couldn’t figure out how the little creature could throw with such force. A small mud pellet hitting his buttocks felt as painful as being burned by fire.

But he didn’t dare to yell. When he began pulling the cart, the little creature managed to lob a mud pellet right into his anus. The result was him screaming out in pain briefly, swearing by the name of the ogre god, Babaruk, that he had only yelled for a brief moment! As a result, the terrifying Beamon lord had let the brutish bear-man mastiff give him a harsh lash. The whip’s leather lash broke on contact. Karu’s skin was tough, otherwise that lash would have sent his soul to the ogre god, Babaruk.

Liu Zhenhan fondly stroked Guoguo’s head, looking pleased. The ogre was more powerful than the boar, and was majestic in appearance. He was just perfect for pulling the cart.

He should capture a few more in the future, Liu Zhenhan reckoned.

Time slipped away as they whipped their Ogre slave. The lush hills of the Southern Cross Star Forest slowly came into sight. Even from tens of miles away, the oppressive stretch of forest was evident, with the eye-aching green becoming the dominant colour. The contrast between the Donau Wasteland’s grasslands and this environment marked a natural dividing line. Several giant birds could vaguely be seen circling above the forest.

The birds were like oversized bats, their wings noticeably equipped with talons. Their beaks were long, akin to iron beaks.

"Obischillaci!" Liu Zhenhan stood up from the cart and exclaimed in awe.

Was this the so-called "Paradise of Magical Beasts", the Southern Cross Star Forest? They had not even entered it, yet a giant, strange bird had already appeared. If they were to enter, who knew what kind of beast would jump out.

Liu Zhenhan unfolded the pigskin map. Despite being an ex-scout, he did not find his destination on this shoddy map.

Where could he find his destination, Ink Crystal Valley Station? Damn it! Liu Zhenhan felt dizzy.

"This must be the Newton Giant Bird recorded in ’Sacrificial Pet Encyclopedia’. It and my Osprey, Aragon, belong to the same type of magical beasts. They both use acid for attacking." Helen looked enviously at the giant bat-like birds soaring in the sky, then looked at her own useless osprey.

Aside from grooming its feathers on the cart, Helen’s stupid pet barely did anything. Aragon was the name of a great human warrior in ancient times. In the war of gods and demons, he had summoned an army of undead, working with humans and Beamons to wipe out the invading Demon Clan. His bravery is still admired by Beamons. Helen thought that her pet lacked courage and thus gave it the name associated with bravery.

"To tell everyone some bad news, I can’t find our destination on the map." Liu Zhenhan compared the map with the terrain of their current location.

"What do we do? I’ve never been here before." Helen looked at Liu Zhenhan, who had been acting self-righteous the entire way.

"I can’t do anything if the map isn’t accurate... If I had been here once before, I could find the way with my eyes closed and counting my pulse..." Although Liu Zhenhan felt somewhat embarrassed, he still argued. It was absurd for a scout to misread a map.

"We only need to hunt magical beasts and acquire the crystal nuclei, regardless of where we are." Avril stretched her waist.

"That’s logical. Let’s try to get some of those Newton Giant Birds in the sky!" Liu Zhenhan kicked and prodded the ogre, Karu, who was pulling the cart. "Hurry up! Go over there!"

Karu had no choice but to drag the cart, hurrying forward with all his strength.

Chapter Two: Sharoman’s Sacrifice

"On the battleground during the full moon night, the best warrior is the Wolf Warrior, and the second-best are our supply and cook soldiers." –– Wolf "Mig" Army Slogan.

Outside the forest, a group of Beamon patrol soldiers stared in astonishment at this odd group of travellers. The sight of an ogre pulling a cart was so extravagant that even the disciplined soldiers couldn’t hide their surprise.
