Boiling Beast Bloodline
Chapter 204 - 2_1

Chapter 204: Chapter 2_1

Throughout the escape, Delsa was laid-back. He used flame magic to grill the noses of the trackers, glowing Piegel as food, and used heart-trembling songs to soothe the underground black wolves which have been injected with a berserk halo like effect by the secret method. In the end, by sensing the elements, he managed to make the three Hell Guardians guarding the gate to the world of light fall into a deep sleep with great effort. Finally, Delsa crossed the tidal barrier.

A strange scene unfolded.

Aside from Delsa, when the Night Elves who had pierced through the barrier caught sight of the bright continent, they uttered syllables they themselves didn’t understand. Their steps were filled with hesitation, fearing that the greenery, the fragrance, the slight breeze, and the chirping of crickets in the fields they were seeing, were all just illusions.

Delsa, walking last, had a stern expression on his face as he chanted quietly to himself.

After all, Xiang Pa was a product of the Aegean Continent. Under the irradiation of Xiang Pa, the Night Elves who rushed ahead felt their blood burning inside, not sure whether they were moaning in happiness or wailing in agony.

Then, one by one, the Night Elves were thrown through the barrier by a tremendous force.

Only when they felt their souls return to their bodies did they realize that their appearances were marked with traces of fire. As a result, the previous scene took place; all the Night Elves cowered behind the barrier, watching the blind Delsa gradually disappeared from their sight, powerless.

Without an exception, all the Night Elves had admiration on their left faces, envy on their right, and worship in their eyes.

That day, the Night Elves seemed abnormal. They no longer acted like Night Elves. The beings usually associated with cunning crossed over the Hell Guardians that made their souls tremble and returned to the Underground World. They reported to the princes, "He crossed over, we ran away."

That the Night Elves spoke the truth was as rare as seeing a ghost.

Sudden wailing erupted in Delsa’s harem, as if they had just lost their husband.

However, it did make sense. To them, it seemed like the Night Elves had been barbecued by flame magic from the inside out.

According to the historical texts, they concluded that Delsa must have chosen to embrace the dawn because he was hurt by them, so he chose this path to avoid causing difficulties for them.

Indeed, the dawn of the Aegean Continent was no doubt a nightmare for the Night Elves. Having lived underground all their lives, when faced with their unfamiliar Emperor Polo, it was like a tender piece of meat on a grill.

This seemed to prove that the races of the Aegean Continent were never short of epic heroes. The exiled Night Elves once again came to the Aegean Continent, but sadly all ended up falling to Xiang Pa and Emperor Polo.

Delsa was dead.

A woman’s jealousy squandered the chance for the Night Elves to rewrite history.

In some sense, indeed, Delsa was dead.

The only thing Delsa was remembered for by all the Night Elves was his struggle between queens. But they didn’t know that Delsa spent all his time studying the knowledge on eight sheets of parchment and experimenting how to make the Night Elves adapt to Emperor Polo.

When the light of Emperor Polo shone on him that morning, his eyes were filled with tears.

Apart from his skin changing from dark to fair, and the glowing lines that were there since his birth disappeared, Delsa could feel Emperor Polo’s warmth without getting burnt like his kin. His initial blindness under Xiang Pa was temporary and he quickly adapted.

"Obischillaci", Delsa cursed in his heart while contemplating whether he should make a trip back. But considering between losing his freedom and venturing into the unknown, he eventually chose the latter.

He had confidence in his body.

While Night Elves are by nature suspicious and cunning, their yearning for the continent of light is enduring. In fact, every generation of matriarchs would have the idea of killing all males in the Dark Elves to secure their power. When their time comes, they would wonder why there isn’t a male heir among the Night Elves.

In reality, the future matriarchs do not know that at the time of succession, each sheepskin scroll contains two pieces of information. One is prepared for the female Night Elves and the other for the male Night Elf heir. Like all other heirs ascending the throne, Delsa also touched the sheepskin scroll. It unreservedly recorded the insights of the heirs on various aspects like magic, war songs, weapons, combat skills, magical pets, etc. The end of the scroll clearly states that each matriarch would record her insights on the sheepskin.

Women sometimes are indeed difficult to understand.

This is also why he risked his life for endless nights of merry-making. In the crudest terms: the fulfilment of the soul can make up for the torment.

He chose not to return because he knew that women are beings that easily decay. He planned on being merry first, and return when the women have lost their allure. It would be easier then to regain control.

Delsa, already numb to the bodies of several princesses, made his plans alone.

And so, his adventure on the Aegean Continent officially began.

In front of him was a vast primitive forest. According to the parchment records, scarce populated areas were typically home to magical beasts. There was no uneasiness, rather, some anticipation.

"The world outside is a puzzle, I am like a newborn child." Delsa, who had decided to become a wandering bard after considering all occupations in the Aegean Continent, composed song lyrics in his heart when a deep roar echoed in his ears.

Obviously, the presence not far from Delsa was a magical beast.

But...

Arguably, this magical beast wasn’t particularly intelligent.

"Highly intelligent magical beasts are more aware of unknown threats, and this one doesn’t." Delsa faithfully deduced this world based on the information on the parchment. He summoned his pet from the Underground World, the green kite that carried him aloft.

The green kite is kin to the phoenix, except that while the phoenix may rebirth, the green kite is venomous. Legend has it that the green kite’s purpose in life is to kill the phoenix.

Delsa’s black dark spells, complemented by the green kite’s poison, had slain many powerful magical beasts underground. Even though this snarling creature seemed to be a Wind Giant Wolf, Delsa only saw it as an ant, a somewhat stronger ant.

Under the black dark spell, no one could see anything except for those who cast it. Of course, the caster’s pets were an exception.

When the corners of Delsa’s mouth rose into a mysterious smile, lethal to anyone, the surrounding area was already shrouded in dark fog.

As if having its own life, the fog did not diminish because of Emperor Polo’s presence, but was bearing its fangs and claws, inadvertently enveloping the Wind Giant Wolf.

The giant wolf hesitated, faintly moving its forelimbs. Delsa caught this small detail. With a contraction of his pupils, his green kite companion, sharing his soul, emitted a crisp cry, resounding through the sky.

The Green Kite’s body rushed across the dark fog, casting a green shadow. This time, it decided to pierce the Wind Giant Wolf with its speed, to commemorate its ancestors with the wolf’s blood, and to tell them that the green kite banished to the underground world by the phoenix millions of years ago was finally back to its long-lost hometown.

With no suspense, the Wind Giant Wolf erupted a symbolic wind blade from its mouth, which was immediately rushed into by the green kite, making it the wolf’s last spell on the Aegean Continent. Before it could roar, the green kite’s wings, as hard as steel, had shredded its organs.

Seeing the performance of the Green Kite, Delsa was very dissatisfied, muttering, "You’ve messed up my honey-roasted wolf."

Before he had finished speaking, the Green Kite, which had burst out of the body, realized that this was the Aegean Continent, with excitement in its small eyes, and it chirped and rushed towards him. Delsa turned and ran, shouting as he fled, "Stop, stop, Obischillaci! If it weren’t for the dark night and my misreading the situation, I would still be chilling in the Underground World. Hear this, Obischillaci, don’t come near me. I faint at the sight of blood!"

From this, we can draw two conclusions:

The first is that Delsa’s claim of having captured this Green Kite seems a bit dubious given no one has ever seen an owner so afraid of his own pet.

The second is that Delsa brought his own misery by being chased onto the Aegean Continent.

The final outcome of this incident is that while the Green Kite was excited, Delsa hid behind a tree, knocked it out with a sap, and then stuck it onto a tree branch, dumping it into the creek.

"Elves are children of the forest."

This was a sentence from the parchment.

Based on this, Delsa unceremoniously threw the Green Kite into the creek, letting the fresh blackened blood on its body flow downstream.

The Green Kite is poisonous, and almost anything that came into contact with it would contract various strange diseases. What’s more interesting is that if it wished, it could even spread toxins in the air. There was only one humiliating, yet necessary means to cure these myriad symptoms based on contact with different races.

"The legend says that the feces of the Green Kite can cure all poisons."

Delsa always said this after defeating challengers in the Underground World with the Green Kite, his face filled with compassion. The Green Kite, it seemed, was spiritually connected to Delsa.

"My bird is habitually constipated. I’m sorry." Delsa was genuine, unlike the Night Elves, and modest, like a gentleman.

His truthfulness, modesty, and chivalrous conduct were the ace up his sleeve in becoming one of the eight crown princes.
