Chapter 179: Chapter 1: Strafing_2
"Richard! Come and save us!" Avril and Ning Yu cried out in joy, shouting at the top of their lungs.
Guoguo and the little piglet rolled their eyes at each other. Guoguo shrugged, her largel ears drooping as she let out a sigh.
The Bear Goblin bandits didn’t yet understand the fate that awaited them. They snarled at each other, brandishing their nail-headed bats threateningly at the newcomers, their eyes full of wicked anticipation.
The mammoth warriors silently extinguished the surrounding bonfires, fire was something the Orephin tribe despised most. They found its glow irritatingly glaring.
Their method of extinguishing the flames was unique, grabbing any nearby Bear Goblin, punching them in the stomach and tossing them by the bonfires. They operated quickly, just like a gust of wind. Soon, every fire was surrounded by several hacked Bear Goblins, large chunks of blood gushing from their throats onto the bonfires like a floodgate opening.
The dancing flames were quickly dimmed by the fresh blood, a sweet and metallic scent permeating the air.
The Bear Goblins didn’t refuse to resist; they just couldn’t. A power beyond their comprehension had crippled their physical functions.
The Bear Goblins suddenly realized a serious problem; these Orephin warriors were not illusions or phantoms, but real, the most powerful warriors on this continent!
The backs of each Bear Goblin instantaneously dripped with sweat, their beads of perspiration trickling down relentlessly.
"Welcome to the Frozen Forest." A young man crouched beside a bonfire that hadn’t yet been extinguished, lighting a cigar at his lips. He bowed graciously to the mass of Bear Goblins who were completely bewildered, a noble gesture.
Only then did the Bear Goblins on the Red Earth Highland notice the barren land below. The desolate highlands were surrounded by the approaching figures of gigantic beasts. A few quick-thinking Bear Goblin bandits who attempted to flee into the bushes encountered these beasts head-on. With a mere flick of their trunks, the fleeing Bear Goblins were launched into the air, their pathetic screams resonating as they crashed down in the distance.
The Bear Goblins panicked as they discovered that their roles had shifted from predators to prey and that they were being surrounded in a manner they usually used themselves.
The Bear Goblins at the base of the slope began to launch a tide-like assault on the Orephin warriors after brief panic. This was not because the Goblins were particularly brave or possessed a knightly spirit, but they knew that if they did not break through, they would certainly face death. The Bimon Army always slaughtered Goblin bandits without leaving a single survivor.
As the Bear Goblins charged, they prayed that these mammoth warriors were just illusions, just phantoms.
The slicing Ivory long knives shattered their dreams. The strength of the mammoth brutes represented the end of Beamon. Even mammoth warriors could not stand up to this overwhelming force. At over three sword-lengths tall, they could face a Hill Giant without losing ground.
Their naturally hardy skin was virtually invincible to normal injuries.
The two-sword long Ivory knives, under the faint light, emitted a chilling hue with each stroke, cutting the Bear Goblins’ charging voices by their waists. Many Goblins were not only cut in two by their own nail-headed bats but were also severed in half, flying away in sections, their stench-ridden blood pouring down like rain from the night sky.
The Ivory knives were hard yet not sharp, but none of the Goblins’ bodies that were cut could remain intact.
The bodies of the Bear Goblins were agile, but they couldn’t evade the swift blade light. The mammoth warriors’ tongues licked their dry lips, their eyes bright, and there wasn’t a single Beamon whose veins didn’t pump war blood.
"Snap," Some of the mammoth warriors’ Ivory long knives had surprisingly snapped. The bones of the stout bodies of the Bear Goblins, who stood two sword-lengths tall, were also hard.
The Bear Goblins collapsed.
These mammoth warriors were not their match. Just from their size and strength alone, they were already impossible to resist. Just imagine, even when the Ivory long knives of these vicious mammoth warriors broke, they were still ferocious. Their stone pillar-like arms and huge legs were lethal weapons, as were their long trunks. Each wave of Bear Goblins rushing over seemed like a tide pouring into a bottomless abyss.
The remaining Bear Goblins retreated to the foot of the Red Earth Highland and dared not charge anymore, it was simply suicidal.
The dim bonfire occasionally exploded with sparks, illuminating the red soil scattered with corpses. Dozens of mutilated bodies laid on the ground, some still emitting steaming mists, others still twitching.
The young man covered Helen’s eyes with his hand and pulled her into his arms. Helen gripped his collar tightly, with great force.
The last Bear Goblin bandit was hit in the face by Korina’s nose and immediately covered his face. He crouched down in pain. Korina caught his hair, pulled up his head. The face of the Bear Goblin was now like it was hit by a meteor, full of fresh blood and fissured eyebrows.
"Let me handle this." The young man called Liu Zhenhan let go of Helen, walked forward decisively, drew the curved knife at his waist, snatched the Bear Goblin bandit, grasped his messy long hair, and dragged him to the front of the Red Earth Highland, leaving a trail of fresh blood. At the foot of the slope, hundreds of Bear Goblins squeezed into a tight ball, occasionally tripped, trample and wail in pain.
