Chapter 177: Chapter 12 The Return of the King_3
Although the mantis people of the Green Party were skilled in swordsmanship, it was of no use in large-scale group battles, given the vast numbers of the bear goblins.
The mantis people were forced back to Ning Yu and Avril’s side.
The bear goblins on Red Earth Highland suddenly discovered that, although these Beamon were slender, their combat strength was far too formidable.
In the eyes of the goblins, apart from a few extremely fierce Beamon members whose names were known, the rest of the Beamon were all the same to them.
But they couldn’t fathom how these few reclusive Beamon monks could have such powerful fighting spirit in the face of so many enemies.
Damn, they really can’t see it! Several bear goblins grumble within their stomachs. Some of them had sought treatment from these reclusive Beamon ascetics before, and their gentle and poor impression of these ascetics was still fresh in their minds.
With the encirclement completed, the monks and the two beauties were forced onto a slope, like a bunch of bundled grapes. Facing attacks from all directions, the mantis ascetics stood firm, successfully blocking the first wave of attacks. Their practiced blades pierced through every gap, bringing down several more bear goblins, each kill achieved with a single stroke to the head or throat.
One goblin’s head was smashed flat, and his face was bubbling blood from the holes that speckled it like freckles.
Many of the bear goblins witnessed this unfortunate comrade who was smashed in the face by that fat and stupid Frost Snow Pichu Beast with his nail-headed bat, and then fell silent into the dust.
The bear goblin bandits’ attention was completely drawn by this magical beast with startling power. This Frost Snow Pichu Beast posed a greater threat to them than the mantis people of the Green Party.
Although the desperate attack by the bear goblins was relentless, it had an effect. The wave of attacks left serious injuries on the four monks of the Green Party. Though their dual swords were sharp as eagle’s wings and as hard as the horns of the Hell Black Dragon, they could not block the endless rain of nail-headed bats.
All four mantis people got hit by the nail-headed bats more or less. Given their agility, they should not have been so passive, however, after being surrounded and needing to protect the two girls behind them, they had no room to dodge and could only resist forcefully.
The one who was most severely injured among the mantis ascetics got hit in the waist by a nail-headed bat. He held his waist with one hand, blood gushing out from his fingers. The serrated broadsword in his arm dripped with his own blood mixed with that of his enemies.
Avril was so exhausted that she could no longer shoot water-element magic arrows that had any attack power. What she could barely make out were sparse and powerless, easily dispersed by the bear goblin’s nail-headed bats in their hands. Ning Yu supported Avril’s almost powerless arm, they looked at each other and shared a wry smile.
The greatest utility of a mage lies in launching powerful magic, but without sufficient time to cast or magic scrolls, all of it was in vain. Now, several skilled mantis Blade Saints had appeared to protect them, but her magic power had been exhausted. Avril felt her luck was extremely poor.
Katusha was firmly pulling onto Ning Yu’s skirt with her mouth, pouting like a spoiled child. Ning Yu was on the verge of strangling this little beast.
The crafty bear goblins no longer attacked, they just carried their huge bats, revolving like a carousel, and occasionally jumping forward to land an attack.
Although Guoguo was incredibly strong, she could only protect Ning Yu and Avril, and Katusha wouldn’t help unless there was something to eat, maintaining her stubborn and shameless attitude, so she didn’t help at all.
The four Blade Saints of the Green Party were forced to rely on a direct confrontation, a strategy they were not versed in, and sparred with the bear goblins a few more times.
The ruse of the bear goblins yielded results. The most severely injured mantis ascetic first started to tremble, then finally, due to excessive blood loss, he kneeled on the ground, the green serrated broadsword stabbed into the red earth next to him, barely keeping him from falling.
The bear goblins all started to laugh bizarrely.
The dawn of victory seemed not so far away.
The eyes of the four mantis people were still as cold and solitary as ever, but beneath that coldness was a deep desperation.
The blood on the ten serrated broadswords hadn’t even dried yet when it was flung off from their arms again.
Guoguo pointed at the piglet, then at herself, still stubbornly holding on.
"Listen to me, you two little darlings, teach those bandits a lesson, and I will make you a nice toy!" Ning Yu was in desperation.
The piglet and Guoguo shook their heads at the same time.
"You two little beasts!" Avril cursed.
A cloud covered the moon, the wind blowing across the wilderness grew fiercer, and the foxtail grass on Red Earth Highland bowed in the gusts.
With a cigar in his mouth, Liu Zhenhan appeared on the vast plain with Helen in his arms, a cold aura around them.
Behind him, there was a bloody and battered ogre slave Karu and a group of giant figures hidden in the darkness.
