Chapter 1577: Chapter 486 The Conspiracy of the Arcane Beast Army

"If us Demon Clan members wore the ’Harmonious Pearl,’ we could enter the ’Sea of Mist’ to collect White Shell Coins without fearing the toxic fog, couldn’t we?" Liu Zhenhan curled his lips. This kind of pearl could be considered an unconventional top-tier item—it was essentially full environmental immunity gear. For instance, you could jump into a lava river for a bath or go shirtless atop an ice mountain. In a sense, this thing made you immune to your surroundings. If it granted full magical immunity too, it’d be insanely powerful!

"I only have one ’Harmonious Pearl,’ and even if we add her two pearls..." The Witch King shrugged and pointed at the two pearls adorning the jet-black cloud-like hair of the Mermaid next to him. "That’s still just three people. How much White Shell can we collect from the Misty Sea at a time? Most Shell Coins are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or cyan—the purple, white, and black varieties are rare! Besides, once you dive into the sea, if you’re unlucky and encounter some strong oceanic Arcane Beast, or get surrounded by a swarm of hostile Merfolk tribes, what then? These Sea Clan folks have numbers on their side, and they’re all masters of poisonous arcane arts, with home-field advantage. If you head out with too few people, it’s pretty much a death sentence."

"But they don’t dare come ashore. If they make landfall, we’ll crush them!" The Witch King thought for a moment and added, "In the Arcane System, this is known as the theory of environmental counteraction."

Liu Zhenhan rolled his eyes, wondering whether these Merfolk possessed domain barriers. He casually picked up the Storage Crystal Badge on the table, gently stroking the embossed Pandora Rose emblem on it before pinning it to his lapel.

"Hehe, actually, I was planning to give you the ’Harmonious Pearl’ from the collection of the former king," said His Majesty Clark Gable, unintentionally revealing the dark nature of this world. "The way things are these days—absolutely absurd! Every place with even the slightest bit of value is claimed by the natives, and they’re all obnoxiously aggressive and maddeningly formidable!"

"I’ll have to see what these Sea Clan folks are made of one day. I love facing off against tough opponents!" Liu Zhenhan declared boldly, the kind of fierce determination befitting someone who fears nothing, though he was fully aware that the Witch King was merely trying to use him as a pawn.

"Big brother gifting you the ’Harmonious Pearl’ is exactly for that purpose! After all, you’re a master who defeated three Dreadlords at the same time—and in an instant, no less! If you could conquer one or two Merfolk tribes in the ’Sea of Mist’ and task them with collecting White Shell Coins, our mutant Arcane Beast Knight Order would flourish! And your future ambitions would become much more achievable. Hehe, Jia Bao! Hehe..."

Nearby, a young mermaid gasped softly, her onyx-like shimmering eyes staring intently at Liu Zhenhan.

"Brother, did you notice the incredulous look on this mermaid’s face? Even the Sea Clan in the Demon World respects and fears the Dreadlords!" His Majesty Clark Gable laughed heartily. "My confidence in you has only grown!"

"As soon as the matter of establishing command authority is settled, I’ll head out to the sea!" Liu Zhenhan perked up; he had originally planned to make an excuse about retreating into seclusion for training, sealing himself inside a mountain cave with massive rocks, sneaking off quietly, and only returning to the Demon World for the breakout of war while claiming to have emerged from training. Now, however, conquering Merfolk tribes in search of White Shell Coins was a far more brilliant excuse, one that could stretch for half a year without raising suspicion.

"If you’re heading to the sea, what about your Arcane Beast Knight Order?" His Majesty Gable considered for a moment before suggesting, "How about this—it might be better if I help you set up the preliminary structure first?"

"Brother, no need!" Liu Zhenhan thought to himself, "If you put up the framework for me, what’s left for me to do?"

"The geography of the Demon World is too harsh—barren mountains and treacherous waters, constant natural disasters. Even the Arcane Beasts born here aren’t outstanding! It’d be best for my Arcane Beast Knight Order to wait until the Holy War begins, and we return to the Aegean Continent. At the very least, we’ll have the warriors under my command train for a while first, pick out some battle-hardened elites, and then form the group." Liu Zhenhan was steadfast in his reasoning. "Starting now would be overly hasty. Besides, these "Nau Platinum" resources are too valuable—every bit used is a bit less. Our future opposition won’t just be some random Evil Races from the Aegean Continent."

"I didn’t expect you to think this far ahead! Well, I’ll learn from you," said the Witch King, eyes shining with newfound admiration. "According to historical accounts, the Aegean Arcane Beasts indeed outmatch those of the Demon World in diversity, providing plenty of choices. It’s smart not to rush into this—your plan makes sense!"

"Big brother, then please quickly fetch that historical ’Harmonious Pearl’ for me!" Liu Zhenhan grinned cheekily, rubbing his fingers together. "I’m itching to set forth to the sea now!"

The Bollywood Witch King shook his head with a wry smile. He hadn’t expected his newfound brother to be so shamelessly bold—actively asking for the pearl in public without the slightest hesitation. Left with no alternative, he waved someone over to make a trip to the inner vault.

But then again, this silver-eyed lad might actually have a real shot at pulling this off. He wasn’t the Witch King, so he didn’t have the qualms about risking everything alone. Call it bravery, or call it reckless—if he died, he died.

The ’Sea of Mist’ was mysterious and unknown, but this guy was hardly ordinary either. Even the strongest oceanic Arcane Beasts might not manage to exploit the environmental counteraction advantage against him effectively! Given his skills, it wasn’t entirely unrealistic to imagine him subjugating a few Merfolk tribes. If the kid were insightful enough, he’d grasp that gifting him one mermaid served as a stepping stone to greater plans! The more Clark Gable thought about it, the more suppressed excitement he felt. He had invested so heavily—it seemed like there was hope yet.
