Chapter 1533: Chapter 459 Queen’s Return_3

The female thief had hunted down her fair share of beautiful Elven men, but compared to the one before her, those so-called beauties were nothing more than heaps of dung—and rotting dung at that!

"Beckham, stop calling me some heartthrob all the time." Xiao Bei shot a dissatisfied glance at the blonde Mastiff man, then turned to the stunningly seductive female thief. With a cold smile, his gaze from beneath the brim of his hat was like ancient, unmelting ice that instantly froze any indecent thoughts she had.

That icy glare made the female thief feel as if she were stripped bare, standing stark naked at the summit of Tamerlarya.

"If we’re speaking of proximity, her Elemental Power is... passable at best. Why not just keep her then? My Magic Protector Corps is short-handed anyway, and I could use a secretary to run errands." Xiao Bei tugged at the protocol buckle on his collar and cast an icy glance at the female thief, addressing Bellamy.

"Heartthrob, don’t say I didn’t warn you. This chick here is a notorious flower thief. I’ve got a stack of bounty notices from the Mercenary Guild, and her ranking is number seven." Bellamy shrugged nonchalantly.

"Beckham, lay off those low-level details, would you? It cheapens our stature," Xiao Bei smirked dismissively. "Seven? You’re such a small-timer mentality—what if it were number one?"

"Point taken."

"What are you implying—treating me like some kind of commodity or cargo?" The female thief was furious. Death was preferable to humiliation, and the tone of these people gave her no semblance of the respect due to a top-level thief and Mage!

Especially this pretty boy. The way he looked at her, as if she were invisible—Rebecca’s anger boiled over completely!

"If you have any opinions, keep them to yourself." Beckham was in the middle of speaking to the female thief when his eye caught the sight of the extravagantly dressed Otigha. The latter was lazily strolling across Red Earth Square, waving a staff encrusted with Top-grade Magic Crystals, an ice cream cone casually in one hand, taking bites now and then.

Xiao Bei’s face darkened. He darted forward with an elegant spin kick, sending the ice cream flying. This was immediately followed by a kick that sent his useless younger apprentice flying five feet away. The movements were clean, precise, and packed with flair—a perfect display of martial-magic coordination!

Bellamy and the Mastiff people around started hooting and hollering.

The idle crowd in the square quickly scattered.

At the center of the square, a group of Flower Elves and freshwater Mermaids were sorting through large baskets of Dragon Crystals, laying them out on bamboo mats to soak in the midday essence of sun and earth.

Watching Otigha, who soared through the air before crashing heavily to the ground, curling like a shrimp, the next moment another Blade of Flames ignited, scorching the earth with a large area of charcoal-black burns!

The Flower Elves and Mermaids, clutching Dragon Crystals, gawked with their mouths wide open in shock.

The stunning female thief glanced admiringly at the dashing Xiao Bei first, then turned her gaze to the two baskets of Top-grade Magic Crystals, her pupils dilated threefold, repeatedly rubbing her eyes.

As a professional thief, she naturally had the skill to immediately discern the grade of the crystal nuclei, and years of experience to accurately assess the strength of her opponents.

"Why don’t you spend your time meditating? All you do is eat, eat, eat! Get lost!" True to the role of an elder brother, Otigha’s senior, nearly a generation older than Xiao Bei, didn’t dare utter a word of protest. Scrambling up, he tucked his tail and ran off pitifully.

"Well? Have you made up your mind?" Beckham dusted off his pant leg and swaggered over, tipping his chin towards the now stiffly gazing female thief.

"I’m a woman... I can’t handle being beaten like that..."

"Three days with me, and you’ll be able to handle it."

"Why must you drag me into this... I’m a thief, not a full-time Mage..."

"I’m not asking you to be a Mage, just a secretary to run errands. I’ve heard thieves are pretty fast."

"......"

Rebecca, the "Soulful Rose," now resembled nothing more than a little white rabbit under the predatory gaze of wolves, deprived of all autonomy.

"Xiao Bei!" Clad in golden armor, Lampard flipped down from the second-floor cave and landed steadily on the ground, waving forcefully at the commander of the Magic Protector Corps.

"Assemble immediately!" Beckham sensed something amiss. A large group of headwomen, all clad in full battle gear, along with Andulan’s elders, were charging out of the Overlord’s hall.

Bellamy let out a sharp whistle, and all the Mastiff people who had been lounging lazily against the corner walls, squinting at the sun, sprang to their feet as if triggered by springs.

Mere moments later, the Summer Palace Guard had completed their formations, leaving only the clicking sound of the Crown Thorns Armor’s gears locking into place.

Standing tightly behind her boss Beckham, the bold and reckless female thief Rebecca was completely awestruck by the moment unfolding before her. She found herself in a sea of towering, burly men whose muscles rippled like fortress walls, donning battle armor of staggering size and wielding weapons of extraordinary width and length!

Above their heads, the sky teemed with squadrons of air-bound Magical Beasts, gold-armored Knights with metal wings, and Dragon Knights, all but blotting out the sun. Even someone like Rebecca, who fancied herself seasoned in grand scenes, found her vision overwhelmed!

Rebecca was so nervous she could barely breathe. She could hardly fathom what force in the world could possibly stop such an army from advancing!

Descended from the high slope path came a stunning golden-haired beauty, breathtaking beyond compare, wrapped in a fragrant breeze.

Behind her was a colossal Giant, every description of physical strength and terror embodied in a single form. This Giant sported a pair of seven-foot-long whale whiskers, a massive golden beard, shining gold armor, metallic wings reaching towards the heavens, and a Viking sword scaled ten times its usual size at his waist. In his hands, he held a monstrously heavy anchor.

Rebecca had only seen such anchors on the Francisco Empire’s warships, docked at Mississippi Lake, over eight hundred miles away.

The so-called muscular men in human Knight novels were nothing but pitiful ants compared to this Giant.

"She’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, and yet the one who feels the furthest away," Rebecca muttered after being stunned silent for a long while, gazing in a mix of envy and reverence at the golden-haired Avril, who was towel-drying her damp hair. This frosty beauty made Rebecca feel utterly inadequate in comparison.

Until now, Rebecca had thought herself to be living the high life on the Aegean Continent, but now she realized the true elite were worlds apart from her!

"Why are you running your mouth? How many beauties have you actually seen?" Xiao Bei cast a wry glance at his newly-appointed secretary, then quietly asked the bamboo-chewing General Pan beside him, "Hey, Old Pan, is that... the sleeping Mermaid Princess? The boss’s most cherished woman?"

"Yes! That’s our Lady Avril, the boss’s left arm was severed to save her." General Pan broke into a proud smile—a kind of smug expression unique to the early Feilengcui loyalists, the core inner circle.

"As expected, it’s just like the legends," Xiao Bei sighed deeply. "A blade wielded for love."

"Who was it? Who was strong enough to sever the arm of the Feilengcui Lord?" Rebecca, like a clueless village bumpkin, couldn’t stop pressing her boss for an answer. "Who on the Aegean Continent could possibly wield such enormous power?"

Given her logic, with such a powerful army protecting him, it was like being locked inside the most secure of safes—how could anyone possibly cut off his arm?

Beckham and General Pan exchanged a comical look, gazing at Rebecca as if appraising the champion of some intellectually challenged Olympic Games.
