Chapter 1509: Chapter 449: Super Prehistoric Life
After patting down the last handful of soil, Liu Zhenhan stomped heavily on the mound a few times, compacting the loose soil.
He dragged over the thorny bushes that were originally prepared nearby to cover the mound. Taking a step back at a time, Liu carefully used leafy branches to sweep away any human traces left behind at the scene.
This place is the Demon World.
The Aegean Continent, where the name of the Demon World has been feared and passed on for ten thousand years.
Four days ago, Liu Zhenhan arrived here through a "Space-Time Rift" south of the Bering Mountains.
Through the dazzlingly chaotic streams of space-time, what appeared before Liu was a primeval forest.
This forest was located in an unnamed mountain range, where the terrain undulated endlessly into the horizon.
The distant skies were filled with strands of volcanic smoke, reminiscent of the primitive barbaric era.
In the skies of the Demon World, there are indeed two Emperor Polos during the day.
Lush life is abundant everywhere, and the Demon World is no exception, hosting a variety of strangely shaped vegetation. However, the plants here, whether towering trees or low berry bushes, share one commonality – their bashful tassel-like leaves spread wide during the day and close tightly into fists at night.
This place also houses bizarre Magical Beasts with violent temperaments, but when they encounter the even more ferocious Liu, their fate is destined to become food.
The spot Liu Zhenhan chose to bury the Gold-Devouring Ants was right at the edge of this forest and mountain range. He tracked this excellent location using the "Blood Moon Flying Wheel" for four days. Half an hour’s flight forward, and the sky would suddenly clear up, revealing an endless Gravel Plain. On the horizon of the plain, traces of roads and footpaths could faintly be seen.
The queen ant’s reproductive capabilities are beyond doubt; after just a week or so of mating, the specially made large iron box was filled with sticky silk-covered, shiny pale white ant eggs, each the size of a pigeon’s egg.
As for whether this queen ant could survive in this world, whether it might die from sickness halfway, Liu Zhenhan couldn’t manage that anymore. After all, he had left behind two Ant Cows, burying it deep underground about seven or eight meters. What becomes of this queen ant, is now up to fate.
Wanting to pass through the "Space-Time Rift," whether the Dumb Moon arrives or it’s forcefully broken through, the chaotic space-time streams must be endured. Apart from Magical Beasts and the Wisdom Race, ordinary wild beasts innately revere the "Space-Time Rift." Hence, Liu doesn’t worry about the Gold-Devouring Ants, which aren’t Magical Beasts by nature, potentially returning to the Aegean Continent to seek relatives one day.
After finishing all these tasks, Old Liu lit a campfire to cook tonight’s supper.
The night in the Demon World has two Xiang Pas, one black moon and one white moon, each colder than the last. Once night falls, even one’s breath could freeze. About several hundred yards away from Liu’s campsite, a small waterfall had now solidified into a glacier.
The daytime here is even harsher; the sky to the north and the south each holds a red sun and a blue sun, vying with each other in searing intensity. At noon, the scorching sunlight can cause heatwaves to layer upon each other, as if placed in an oven, and the air pulses with the scent of sulfur.
In Liu Zhenhan’s impression, this place somewhat resembles the Taklamago Desert, both being worlds of extreme temperature differences. But the Demon World is evidently more extreme than the desert.
Tonight’s supper is a beast resembling a wild boar, with a rotund body, four pairs of tusks, and eight eyes, ugly and fierce, that can emit lightning.
Liu Zhenhan tried this beast’s leg at noon and found the well-developed muscles quite chewy, bursting with elasticity and rich in fragrance. Tonight, he wanted to try the loin strip on the back of the beast, its marbling like fine marble made his mouth water.
This time in the Demon World, apart from the Space Ring, he didn’t wear any other magical equipment; his clothing was borrowed from the Underground Cave-dwellers, woven entirely from moss fibers, carrying a strong beggar’s scent. His self-defense weapons are a bayonet and an iron rod crafted by Snail People’s Yangkov, which, apart from being of inferior craftsmanship in bronze, neither look nor style fit into the Demon World or Aegean.
Damn! Let’s see who can still recognize me! Liu Zhenhan was quite proud. Whether it was his Blood Magic or Flower Magic, let alone the Demon Clan, who in the Aegean Continent has ever seen them?
As for that "Death Sensation," it is probably the first of its kind since the birth of magic.
Thinking of "Death Sensation," Old Liu can’t help but tear up. This damned Psychic Magic, form-wise, is the most exquisite and direct of all—----------
Given the current level of Liu’s mental power, he can release it continuously only twice at most.
With immense mental power as a guarantee, even if an opponent has strong magic resistance, as long as their mental strength is no match for Liu’s, it’s useless!
Even for magical-immune units like Fairy Dragons, it doesn’t work, because this is the purest and most direct mental shock. It’s not some lewd illusion; it’s direct sensory hallucination—no matter if their size is even more imposing than that of a Base Dragon, at the mental level, it’s all the same!
To be completely immune, one would have to be a creature devoid of human desires from body to nerves!
Clearly, such creatures do not exist in this world.
