Chapter 1503: Chapter 486 Psychic Magic (Part 2)

Andulan the Elder has been worn out recently.

Relocating the indigenous tribes of the Southern Cross Star Forest is no easy task, after all, not everyone can do it like the Elves who just need to take their seeds and slide away effortlessly.

The current construction of the new Jade City is a combination of Elven tree walls and bricks, and it’s still far from completion. Mourinho is sick, Gomes is just a little brat, so the old dragon has to take on the heavy lifting, putting these new Vassal Clans in temporary camps in Sydney City, worrying about every aspect of their livelihood, nearly exhausting his old frame.

Having settled the Tuskal People who like to lead bears wherever they go, the old dragon returned to his green palace late at night. Just as he walked into the Overlord’s hall, he saw a bunch of old acquaintances intently watching the live broadcast of the Empyrean, while the long sandalwood table was scattered with nuts and fresh, juicy fruits, and butterflies-like maids were unceasingly serving drinks and tea.

A bunch of scoundrels, coming to my house to freeload again. Andulan the Elder walked in with his hands behind his back, swaying like a crab, muttering under his breath.

All of the Dragon Clan share a common trait: when they have amassed enough treasures, they prefer to retreat into the seclusion of mountains and forests, for fear that others might find out about their wealth. Clearly, Andulan the Elder is no exception.

"Beautiful!" The Seven-Colored Dragon Ibrahim cheered loudly as he watched the Golden Dwarves simultaneously release lightning to collapse Lucian’s tree wall on the Empyrean screen, also shocking a group of Moores and Drows until their hair stood up like straw stacks, and downed a super nutritious cup of Aphid Honey Sago Dew.

"Beautiful my foot." The old dragon frowned, plopped down in a comfy chair, and loudly called to a Mo Shao maid to bring two dishes from the kitchen for his dinner.

"Daddy, let me make you two more dishes," offered Helen, standing up with Katusha in her arms. "There are newly pickled ostrich eggs, all double-yolked, I’ll cook one for you."

"No need!" The old dragon quickly waved his hands upon hearing Helen’s offer, while rubbing his own shoulders: "Just give me the leftovers from Katusha, that little thing’s just grown teeth and always wastes food!"

Enrida chimed in obediently, helping her granddad by kneading his shoulders and pounding his back, which made Andulan the Elder smile blissfully, endlessly praising this granddaughter-in-law for her sensibility.

"Teacher, no offense, but you’re way too frugal! Can’t you just splurge on a big meal for yourself? Does your son really need you to save that bit of money for him?" Ibrahim pulled a long face, shaking his head as he watched the Mo Shao maid bring over two dishes.

One plate of salt-pickled Artemisia roots, one plate of shiny Larza Beast hooves—complete with tiny teeth marks—and a bowl of yellow bamboo rice porridge.

"Not save? If I didn’t save, where would I get all these local specialties to send back to Dragon City with you?" The old dragon retorted irritably, picking up a salty Artemisia root and chewing it loudly with a "crunch, crunch". "By the way, Ibrahim, Richard lately has been advocating that everyone should learn from the Ent spirit—inhaling carbon dioxide and exhaling oxygen, all about giving! This time when you go back to Dragon City, I won’t send anything back with you from my green palace, let’s make that clear in advance, so don’t call me stingy or whatever!"

This almost choked Ibrahim and Luna to death.

This is exactly why dragons don’t mingle well with their own kind.

Master Stefano, embracing his second and third sons, smiled and nodded to the elder as a greeting.

Xiao Bei and Otigha stood respectfully beside their mentor, busily managing cigars and tea.

"Grandpa, can I ask you a question?" The second son grabbed Master Stefano’s white beard, looking up with his handsome face.

"Oh? You want to challenge a Mage?" Master Stefano smiled.

Richard has three sons, one is the second son, one is the third son. The second son nudged his chubby younger brother’s belly, and the third son, tickled, immediately started laughing goofily.

"So, what’s the name of the other one?" The second son’s innocent face was full of mystery, his sparkling eyes fixed on Master Stefano.

"Well..." Master Stefano feigned a serious look, thinking it over for a while before tentatively asking, "Is it by any chance called the eldest son?"

"Haha, grandpa you’re so silly! Of course, it’s Guoguo!" Both the second and third son laughed out loud together.

Guoguo, wearing tiny toad sunglasses and hugging Axianu, also watched and laughed at the master, with a little parrot sitting on Axianu’s head, squinting at Master Stefano and calling him a "fool" in Dragon Language.

Ibrahim, Luna, and Daisy, along with Nana, wanted to laugh but felt too embarrassed to do so, desperately holding it in, their shoulders shaking.

"You two little rascals!" The old dragon chuckled and patted the second and third sons on their heads, glancing around for a bit before asking, "Where’s Richard?"

"He’s working." Elise, resting her chin on her hand, was face to the Empyrean screen and without turning back said, "With the Millennium Devil’s Yucca Beauty."

"My son, he’s good at everything, except he’s just too career-driven!" The old dragon sighed, and with a chiding look turned to Xiao Bei, "David, your mentor rarely visits, you didn’t even offer to get some Snow Lotus cigars. Look how stingy you’re being!"

"No, no need, we Mages must practice self-discipline, and we must stay away from these bad habits," Master Stefano politely demurred.

"How can that be acceptable!" The old dragon put on an air of false politeness, motioning to Xiao Bei: "I have them in my room, hurry up!"
