Chapter 1124: Chapter 298: Fei City Friends and Family Group
The marriage was destined to be a difficult one. Liu Zhenhan had just taken care of the Desert Dwarfs’ affairs and returned to the camp to welcome the elders from Andulan. Then, General Boban of the Cambridge Mixed Brigade came storming in, seething with anger, demanding an explanation.
General Boban, who was arranging for the supplies to be stored, was still busy with inventory and accounts. Out of curiosity, he asked Captain Orephin of the Turun Brigade why there were so many people celebrating in the oasis.
After learning the full story from Captain Orephin, General Boban of the Ostrich Brigade nearly fainted with rage on the spot!
As a hereditary vassal of the Swan Tribe, if he let a Piegel marry Smey, the princess of the skies, right under his nose, he truly didn’t know how he could face Overlord Mourinho. So, without even taking time for a sip of water, he immediately stopped all his work and rushed to the commander’s tent, ready to righteously confront this absurd and shameless Shaman of Divine Songs.
General Boban was furious. The Bode Clan, the noble house of the Swan Tribe, suffered from strict rules against intertribal marriage. Even Overlord Mourinho had suffered from it. How could a Piegel be so shameless!
But the Shaman of Divine Songs’ tent was not a place just anyone could enter. The moment the Ostrich Brigade leader arrived at the entrance, he was blocked by a group of stony-faced Antelope Warriors.
"Get out of the way!" General Boban’s temper had reached its breaking point as he shoved aside the thick arm blocking his way.
"This is the temporary chamber of the War God’s Summer Palace. Please conduct yourself with respect, General." Antelope Warrior Marion replied coldly, his nose ring making a "clack clack" sound as he snorted disdainfully.
This Buer Warrior, with a "Magic Goshawk Camphor" tattoo on his calf, was a standout among the Fiercetide infantry. Proud and condescending, his towering physique made his gaze reek of superiority.
The four personal guards from Ostrit behind General Boban were accustomed to getting their way and moved forward to force their way through, clearing a path for the General. But the Antelope Warriors grabbed each one by the neck and twisted upward, their faces instantly turning a dark red with pain as they were forced into the posture of astronomers gazing into the vast sky.
"You Minoth pottery lowlifes from a different continent! How dare you lay hands on me, a noble of the Bode Clan?" General Boban shouted furiously, pushing away the Antelope Warrior blocking his path and pointing at those holding his guards, enunciating each word, "I’ll say this only once! Let go of my men at once!"
As Antelope Warrior Marion stepped forward to speak, he stumbled from a shove by General Boban.
Being a border soldier, General Ostrit’s martial skills were exceptional. Marion, strong as a mountain, was actually pushed back two steps by him before he steadied himself.
Surprised and angry, Marion took a big step forward, blocking the way once more, his robust chest nearly touching the nose of the leader of the Ostrich Brigade.
Fuming with rage, General Boban shoved again, but this time his opponent didn’t budge an inch.
"You Minoth idiot!" As a border soldier, General Boban’s temper was far more explosive than any average Beamon General could imagine. Seeing that he couldn’t push back the strong warrior, he "swooshed" out his battle sword, the gleaming tip pointed at Antelope Warrior Marion’s nose as he roared, "I’m giving you three seconds to get out of the way!"
"Haha..." The group of Antelope Warriors standing outside the tent began to laugh loudly and without restraint. Marion laughed the hardest, nearly scraping his nose on the sword’s edge by accident.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three!"
General Boban’s voice was somber as he spat out the final number, a fierce light crossing his eyes. The sword tip quivered. Just as he was about to make a move, a loud voice from inside the tent commanded, "Stop!"
"What’s going on?" The pearl beaded curtain at the entrance of the tent was lifted halfway, revealing a large face with a prominent and notable nose, a hint of malice showing through, yet it was well diluted by a feigned smile.
"This guy is too brazen. By all accounts, if you want to see the boss, you’re supposed to send a message first." Antelope Warrior Marion turned, smiling with arms crossed, "He actually tried to force his way through!"
"So that’s how it is..." Chief Palace Guard Rodman appeared to have an epiphany, standing idly and waving at the Antelope Warriors around, "How thoughtless of you all. He’s the Three-Star General Aniko, a distinguished Brigade Leader! Clear the way, clear the way. Let’s make room for our revered General!"
"That’s more like it!" General Boban smoothly sheathed his sword, glowering at the surrounding Antelope Warriors. The Buer strongmen reluctantly let go of the Ostrich guards. Despite their surprised expressions, they made way.
Rodman gestured invitingly to General Boban, pulling back the beaded curtain with a "please come in" motion. The Ostrich Brigade leader snorted, brushed his sleeves, and entered with his head held high.
In the time it takes to fart, there came a series of "thud thud" noises of bodies colliding inside the tent. The four guards along with General Boban himself tumbled out of the tent, their faces covered and scrambling as if a huge elephant was chasing them ready to trample them to death.
