Chapter 519: Chapter 237: Ancient Marine Creatures, Chasing "Destiny
In just a moment, the beautiful and dreamy vista of the sunset was completely replaced by thick dark clouds sweeping across the entire sky, thunder rolling within the clouds, and the pitch-black ocean stirring up massive waves, a terrifying storm gathering.
The Magic Spaceship, the only remaining source of light between heaven and earth, seemed to be entering a horrifying and eerie abyss.
The young ones frolicking on the deck started to panic, scrambling towards the cabin; the crew emerged, loudly urging everyone to return to their rooms. Ronan saw a green-haired girl also retreating into the cabin under the protection of a stern man with dark patterns next to her, continuously glancing towards them.
"How can the weather change so quickly?..."
Ronan’s eyes emitted a white light, forming the pattern of the Eye of Truth on his forehead, staring fixedly at the gathering storm in the distance, seeing countless lights representing free energy particles rapidly converging, and from beneath the dark sea surface, deep blue pillars of energy surged, as if something was moving below.
"I’ve realized that nothing good happens when I’m with you..."
Molli’er said softly, shaking her head.
"Why not say it’s the bad luck you bring?"
Ronan retorted offhandedly, and without further quarreling with Molli’er, he told her gravely, "Go back to your room, I’ll check what’s actually happening."
Molli’er didn’t oppose him, but she also seemed unconcerned; both knew well that if the ship truly encountered an unstoppable disaster, hiding in a room would make no difference at all.
Ronan quickly moved down the deck, when suddenly the torrential rain began to fall, huge raindrops furiously beating against the outer rune formation light membrane of the ship. Although completely blocked off, the protective shield was also violently shaking, continuously stirring up countless ripples.
The protective array native to the Magic Spaceship was merely of a second-tier level, even weaker than a defense spell Ronan could perform on the fly. Should it get caught in the storm, or encounter slightly stronger waves, it may well be smashed to pieces.
Clearly, the owner of the ship was also aware of this. As Ronan descended to the first deck, the Magic Spaceship had already begun to turn around and was lifting its body attempting to escape from the forming storm area.
"Boom! Boom!!"
Wave after wave surged on the sea’s surface below, like rapidly rising walls that swiftly collapsed.
Mists of water steamed up; the ship’s body continued to shake and vibrate.
Ronan’s expression was solemn. Despite having seen the might of a Level 5 Wizard in full force, he still felt a deep shock.
This was the mighty power of nature, and individual strength was utterly insignificant in the face of such force.
Facing a Level 5 Wizard, Ronan might still muster the courage to fight.
But against the fiery wrath of natural forces, he couldn’t harbor any thoughts of resistance, only left to rely on fate!
On the first deck, the passengers had already dispersed, only a few crew members struggled to pull ropes, ordinary Wizard Apprentices but their physiques were much stronger, likely trained in the knight’s methodologies.
Ronan was contemplating how to lend them some assistance.
Suddenly at that moment, a massive thunderbolt, nearly a hundred meters long, flashed overhead.
"Boom!"
In an instant, the sound of thunder caused several crew members to momentarily freeze. At the same time, in the torn darkness, everyone clearly saw—
Not too far from the Magic Spaceship, underneath the black sea surface, a vast silver "mountain range" broke through the heavy waves, rapidly rising above the tumultuous sea surface, reaching higher than even the Magic Spaceship in a blink of an eye.
An ancient, thick, and immensely large sea creature emerged from the waters.
Its body shimmered with a metallic silver glow, as though endowed by moonlight and starlight, radiating a dazzling brilliance.
The giant silver fins, like blades, split the sea surface, bringing about a resounding rush of water. The fins, so large they nearly covered half the sea, refracting countless rays of light.
The waves rolled violently, the tide receded like a collapsing mountain. The surrounding waters burst into waves, even the clouds above undulated in response. As it re-entered the water, the enormous fin resembled a silver crescent moon, reflecting a mysterious and unknown brilliant light band....
At that moment, everyone on the ship, Ronan included, experienced an absolute void in their minds, all motion ceased.
Everyone stared blankly at the spectacle before them, like ants holding their breath while brushing past the ankle of a giant.
When the shock subsided, and the uproar returned, Ronan remembered to breathe, clearly hearing his own heart pounding within his chest.
At that instant, he felt as if his soul had also departed his body; even as a Level 3 Wizard, compared to that indescribably huge creature, he was still no different from a speck of dust.
The Magic Spaceship’s protective array was now completely torn apart, the torrential rain unobstructedly drenching everyone.
An old crew member, thoroughly soaked, looked dazed, muttering repeatedly, "The Sea dragon god... the ancient Sea dragon god..."
Ronan took a deep breath, finally understanding the source of the storm and giant waves before him.
