Bloodline of the Wizard -
Chapter 516 - 236: Elopement
Chapter 516: Chapter 236: Elopement
His flesh was severely damaged; had it not been for the tough physique derived from practicing [Ascetic Body Refinement], if it were any ordinary Wizard, even without discarding their body, they would need to radically transform their body through alchemy in order to survive.
Even so, the power of the [Bone Flame] Spell from the Dawn Rank still penetrated his body. Despite the constant efforts of the [Vital Light Ball] within him working to "extract" it, some remnants still lingered, causing his wounds to heal very slowly. Now, if he were to remove his robe and mask, his appearance would simply be unbearable to look at.
Of course, there were also benefits that Ronan gained from this.
Enduring the erosion and searing of Magic Flames for half a month, his [Ascetic Body Refinement] Master Level Proficiency surged, breaking through the 1,400 point threshold, nearing the 1,500 point mark. It became the skill on his character panel closest to Master Level Completion.
In addition, there was the surface-level easing of relations with Molli’er.
Now, at least, the two of them could have a simple exchange like normal friends from time to time, no longer filled with resentment and tension as before.
"Giggle giggle giggle..."
A soft giggle of a young girl came from somewhere below.
Ronan slowly picked up the silver metal mask on the ground, put it back on, and then looked in the direction of the laughter.
On the deck at the bow of the Magic Ship, two girls were standing together chatting. One of them was all too familiar to Ronan – it was Molli’er; he didn’t know when she had suddenly slipped downstairs.
Standing beside Molli’er was a girl with light green hair, similar in age to Molli’er, and with fairly cute features.
She seemed to be very amused by Molli’er’s words, and the laughter Ronan heard was coming from her.
Not far from the two girls was a stern man with many black lines on his face, who seemed to be the green-haired girl’s bodyguard. When Ronan’s gaze landed on them, the stern man with black lines looked back at Ronan, his eyes carrying a bit of cold scrutiny.
Ronan indifferently glanced at them then withdrew his gaze.
With nearly two months of journey ahead, confined to a ship, given Molli’er’s character, finding something to pass the boring time was inevitable.
Just let her be. Rather than paying attention to Molli’er, Ronan felt it more prudent to be concerned about the safety of those who came into contact with her.
Don’t be fooled by Molli’er’s current harmless appearance; before this, she was the notorious "Ash Witch" in the Central Wizard World.
As for the green-haired girl opposite, she was just an ordinary Level 1 Wizard, but the stern man with the black marks beside her had reached the Late Stage Level 2 in strength.
The ship sailing to the East Coast was set sail also because of them, and Ronan and the others were considered to be basking in their light.
Homer Blue Town had been destroyed by a Level 4 Dawn Wizard of the Resurrection Society, so the agreement between Ronan and the "Black Swan" company naturally ceased to exist. He was lucky; after staying at the harbor for two days, he caught this fair wind ship.
Ronan stood on deck for a little while, and after the Magic Ship had fully entered the oceanic region and the dock from whence he came was no longer visible, he returned to his own room.
After setting up the shielding and Protection Rune Formation, Ronan took off his mask, shed his robe, and, as usual, first examined the condition of his body.
His body was now covered with wounds that were like festering, pus-filled sores, ghastly to behold.
But upon closer inspection, under those wounds, part of the flesh was already growing, and his internal organs were quite healthy. Aside from the pain caused by the worsening and healing of the wounds, it wasn’t severe anymore.
At this rate of healing, he might fully recover before the ship reaches the East Coast.
And at that time, his physical constitution would become even tougher.
Ronan took out healing powder for his wounds, meticulously changed the dressing, and then summoned Titanium, instructing it to continue devouring the "Red Lotus Staff."
Titanium had also suffered severe depletion in Homer Blue, left with only the size of a human head. If Ronan had felt somewhat guilty about feeding Molli’er’s Red Lotus Staff to Titanium before, now he was left with nothing but righteousness.
The Metal Goat Dudor the Third, which had not been seen for a long time, was also let out for air. Ronan placed some useless metal residues on the floor, then let it run around the not-so-spacious room.
After all this, Ronan formally began his tough practice for the day.
Aside from the daily mandatory meditation class, Ronan was primarily focused on two areas.
One was the Metal Magic inheritance of the [Golden Fire Spirit Mo Ye].
After advancing to Level 3 Wizard, Ronan could practice all five of the Spells from [Golden Fire Spirit Mo Ye].
It was only after beginning practice that he realized how profound and challenging this inheritance of Spells was. Although, in theory, all are Mist Rank Spells, they felt even more mysterious to Ronan than the [Ghost Arrow] inheritance he received from the "Bone Bell" Ma Fulin.
The five Spells had a profound connection with one another, with [Schiper’s Golden Decree] at the core, seemingly aiming to fully construct the true form of the [Golden Fire Spirit Mo Ye] Spell.
Ronan was encountering such an intriguing set of Spells for the first time, with the ability to cast independently and perform complex combinations.
The process of practicing and exploring new Spells was in itself filled with joy, and Ronan derived endless pleasure from it.
The second focus was the study of runes.
