Chapter 506: Chapter 232: Getting Along, The Ice and Fire Assignment, Wuhao Mountain Range
"Symbiotic Contract?..."
Ronan was taken aback. He calmed his mind and, through the bizarre connection with Molli’er, eventually came to a general understanding of what exactly had transpired between them.
Molli’er attempted to use a Secret Technique to forcibly take his Life Force in order to achieve "Nirvana" for healing purposes.
However, because the casting was interrupted midway by the mysterious force released from within the Yarlis Ice Ring, the final result of the Spell turned out to be something else.
To put it metaphorically, if Molli’er and Ronan were two bottles, and Life Force was the water contained within each of their bottles, Molli’er’s bottle was nearly out of water, so she tried to pour all the water from Ronan’s bottle into her own.
Yet, during this process, some indescribable accident occurred, causing the bodies of both bottles to inexplicably "adhere" to one another...
What was originally a unilateral capture, ultimately became a "Symbiosis" between the two.
Ronan straightened out his thoughts, his expression growing darker.
Standing still, his eyes flickering, he pondered possible solutions.
Suddenly, Molli’er, who had previously been standing still, let out a shriek and surged towards him as a blur of motion.
Her speed, while negligible in Ronan’s eyes, provoked an instinctive kick from him, sending her flying away.
Yet he too grunted, stumbling back a couple of steps.
Looking up at Molli’er, he saw her holding her chest with both hands, glaring at him with eyes that seemed to wish to tear him limb from limb, her gaze filled with an unspeakable mix of resentment and humiliation.
A sudden realization of the brief slippery sensation from that kick hit Ronan, as he became aware that neither of them was clothed.
Titanium swiftly enveloped his body, solidifying into the form of a Magic Robe.
By the time he was fully dressed, he noticed Molli’er’s gaze on him had turned even more resentful and fierce.
"Don’t you even have a single piece of clothing?"
Ronan frowned, eyeing Molli’er, realizing that he indeed hadn’t seen any accessories or ornaments on her.
Her space storage device might have been destroyed earlier in the battle.
With that thought, Ronan retrieved a set of Magic Robes from his own Space Ring, tossed them to Molli’er, then turned his back on her.
It was a gesture of respect for her dignity.
The close-quarters combat driven by primitive instinct earlier meant they had both seen all there was to see of each other.
"What even is this..."
After a quiet moment, rustling sounds of fabric echoed behind him.
Ronan’s mood soured, his mind in disarray, feeling as though he had inadvertently stumbled into a tangled mess.
Once the noise behind him ceased, he turned around.
The Magic Robes he carried, tailored to his own physique, hung loosely on the delicate frame of Molli’er, conveying the impression of a child wearing an adult’s clothing.
Yet Ronan was in no mood to laugh, instead, he addressed Molli’er with as steady a voice as he could muster: "Do you know how to undo this contract?"
Molli’er’s expression was indifferent, her eyes vacant as if she were a soulless puppet.
Ronan could understand her current state.
The once haughty and imperious lady, suddenly brought low, not only tumbling into the mud but also having her most shameful self fully exposed to the person she despised the most.
It could be said that all of her pride had been thoroughly shredded.
If Ronan’s desire to kill Molli’er was a 1, he had no doubt that at this moment, her desire to kill him was definitely over ten thousand!
Hearing Ronan’s question, Molli’er looked up emotionlessly and suddenly sneered.
Ronan also realized that asking this question was somewhat foolish; even if Molli’er knew how to resolve the "Symbiosis" State, it was highly unlikely she would tell him at this stage.
Because once their current status was dissolved, she would completely lose her guarantee of life in front of Ronan.
"Forget it."
Ronan regained his composure, strode forward, and seized Molli’er, taking flight directly.
Molli’er jerked in opposition instinctively but soon resigned, letting him sweep her away.
Ronan had no choice but to take Molli’er with him as they departed.
In their "Symbiosis" State, neither could stray too far from the other without both suffering repercussions.
Additionally, even without that rule, he couldn’t have just left Molli’er behind; in their symbiotic existence, should she be captured, he would also be in trouble.
"Just in time to meet with Ewaqu..."
"As an Inheritor of the Ancient Spirit Witch, facing this sort of ’Strange Symptoms’ involving the soul... maybe she has a solution..."
Ronan carried Molli’er like a sack of potatoes, pocketing her Red Lotus Staff, and swiftly departed in one direction.
...
Five days later.
Deep within the gloomy and damp forest, two figures cloaked in Black Robes moved through the underbrush, one after the other.
The larger figure in front cleared the path, occasionally illuminating their surroundings with flashes of Spells, paving the way and clearing venomous mists and insects.
The smaller figure followed not too far, not too close, the two maintaining a steady distance without any exchange.
Only upon reaching a relatively flat and dry area did the leading figure in Black Robe finally speak.
