Chapter 499: Chapter 229 "Ghost Arrow", "Top-notch Arrow Embryo", Completion of Soul Attack Methods

After reaching a six percent concentration of the Ancient Frost Multi-Headed Snake Bloodline, Ronan’s Talent in Ice Magic had reached a monstrous level.

He didn’t even need to do anything; he simply raised his hand, and spiritual power surged forth. On this pitch-black wilderness, a massive amount of free Ice Energy Particles gathered towards him like worshippers, forming dense pillars of Ice Frost, roaring like a blue python to meet the meteor-like falling fireball.

The difference between a Wizard and a Magic Beast is that casting for Wizards is a Skill, while for Magic Beasts, it is an instinct.

Now, Ronan has nearly reached the level of "instinct" in his mastery of Ice Magic.

"Boom!"

The Frost Pillar collided fiercely with the fireball falling from the sky without any ostentation, the two extreme energies clashing. Ronan’s eyes flashed with a deep blue light, mysterious and bizarre in the night.

Under the billowing Magic Robe, his white hair fluttered up, and the terrifying power of the cold surged in layers. Fire and Ice Frost strained against each other tens of meters above the ground, splashing out brilliant streams of red and deep blue interwoven light.

After a dozen breaths, all the flames in the sky were extinguished, leaving only encircling frost.

The campfire at his feet had also gone out, and the perfectly roasted hare meat had long been frozen into a hard lump of ice.

"Bang—"

A gigantic ice lump over ten meters in diameter emitted a dense chill, heavily falling to the ground, smashing a shallow crater on the surface.

Ronan stepped forward, parted the swirling white vapor, and looked through the ice layer, only to find a beautifully crafted red women’s staff.

It was probably as thick as a finger, resembling an umbrella handle, bright in color, adorned with many light red Crystal Stones and golden metal strips, looking elegant yet substantial.

Unfortunately, there was a clear break in the middle of the staff, and even various hidden rune patterns could be seen on the fracture surface.

"Red Lotus Staff?!"

Ronan recognized the staff, feeling startled.

He didn’t expect that within the meteor-like fireball was hidden the Red Lotus Staff of the Ash Witch Mollie!

Ronan had once clashed with Mollie and was deeply impressed by the style of her staff weapon. Mollie almost always kept the Red Lotus Staff by her side, and it was also a significant identity marker for her.

"Even the beloved staff is broken; Mollie’s current situation must be worse than ever..."

Mollie was of extraordinary status, and she even had a Level 5 Dawn Wizard around her. Unexpectedly, she was chased down to this extent.

Ronan felt somewhat moved, then became slightly more vigilant.

The Red Lotus Staff lying here indicated that Mollie might be nearby; he wasn’t afraid of Mollie but worried about the possibility of encountering pursuing forces.

"But why would the Red Lotus Staff find me of all people?"

Ronan thought about it and guessed that the half-broken Red Lotus Staff might be a distress signal released by Mollie, simply landing in front of him by chance.

Breaking the ice layer, Ronan took out the Red Lotus Staff.

This Magic Tool was made of extraordinary material and a high Grade; he had no idea how it was Forged, and even though it was broken and uncontrolled, the fire power contained within it was about to leak out once again.

Ronan held it in his hand, clearly sensing a strong pulling force, the Red Lotus Staff seemingly wanting to guide him in a certain direction.

"Indeed, it was thrown out for help..."

His conjecture confirmed, but Ronan had no intention of following it.

Let alone the fact he had a history with Mollie, at the Mechanical Heart, she almost got him "killed," and even if there weren’t any grudges, the people pursuing Mollie were not something he could handle.

He was still on the run himself.

"It’s just your bad luck that the staff fell in front of me..."

"I’m not clear on the details, but whoever naively picks up this staff and rushes to rescue is really going to be in big trouble..."

Ronan had initially planned to ignore it, but considering his past issues with Mollie, after some thought, he summoned the Titanium metal.

"This staff seems to be mixed with some metal components, not sure if the Titanium can consume it..."

The black Titanium covered Ronan’s right hand, quickly enveloping the entire Red Lotus Staff.

Along with a series of fine and faint chewing sounds, Ronan’s eyes slightly brightened.

"It really can become Titanium’s fodder..."

However, perhaps due to the complex and precious nature of the Red Lotus Staff’s material, the Titanium was consuming the metal components very slowly.

During the "devouring" process, the Red Lotus Staff continuously emitted pained "whining" sounds, violently trembling, but Ronan firmly pressed it down with one hand, unable to escape.

While the Titanium was consuming, Ronan also infused his spiritual power into the Red Lotus Staff, incidentally recording the rune patterns engraved within.

The runes constituting the Red Lotus Staff were numerous, complex, and Advanced, further displaying its extraordinary quality. Ronan simply recorded them all, keeping them for later study.

Due to the dropping of the Red Lotus Staff, Ronan no longer lingered and, under the starlight, hurried on his way in the opposite direction of the staff’s arrival.

...

Three days later, under the daylight, a figure stood in the wilderness, eyes tightly closed, as if pondering something.
