Chapter 206: Chapter 116: Level 1 Law Domain Resonance, [Schiper’s - River of Seven Colors]!
"You sure have the same stubbornness as Benny."
Lanni spoke indifferently.
Ronan couldn’t help but laugh, "To those unaware, they would think it was Benny who got beaten down many times, not you."
Lanni’s expression stiffened, and in the next instant, a violent surge of murderous intent erupted from his grey eyes.
"Delayed sand!"
Rune patterns in Lanni’s grey eyes lit up.
He coldly uttered, belting out a terrifying spiritual power belonging to an Intermediate Level 2 Stage Wizard, along with the power of the Extraordinary Magic Domain surrounding him, diffusing outwards.
Instinctively, Ronan crossed his dual swords in his hands, wreathed in the blazing Flame of Break Magic in front of him.
"Huh—"
As the spiritual field and the magic domain force field enveloped him, Ronan felt as if he was directly being blasted by a fierce sandstorm.
"Creak, creak—"
The Despair Domain that he released at the center emitted a sound of unbearable cracking.
This was the most direct collision between Extraordinary Magic Domains; Ronan’s stacked Despair Domain of the "Four Magical Domains" might surpass the power of the magic domain mastered by Lanni in intensity.
However, the spiritual power sustaining his domain and the current control he had over the Ice Energy Particles to demonstrate the might of the domain were vastly inferior to the opponent’s.
The power of the "Four Magical Domains" stack was diminished to its limit, like a fragile ice shell... smashed violently by a hurtled boulder.
This was a merciless crushing on the level of sheer strength.
"The Extraordinary Magic Realm is a sword, but how can one hold this sword without strength?
Spiritual power is the true foundation of a Wizard’s might!"
Lanni, looking at Ronan who had completely withdrawn the Despair Domain, with no trace of icy chill surrounding him, sneered, "Didn’t Benny even tell you this?"
He said, as his eyes flickered, large chunks of rock on the ground silently crumbled into mounds of brown sand, which suddenly whirled into the sky and pounced towards Ronan.
Ronan made the motion to slash with his dual swords. The Demon Nightmare Dual Swords entwined with raging Flame of Break Magic tore gaping holes through the brown sand curtain.
But the sand still settled on Ronan.
Instantly, Ronan’s expression subtly changed.
The sand grains that landed on him didn’t bring any pain, yet each grain seemed to weigh thousands of tons, heavily pressing on his body, plunging him into an immensely heavy state.
All over his body, it was as if numerous invisible ropes were pulling tightly. Even trying to raise his hand was many times more difficult than usual.
"Does it hurt?"
Lanni continued to manipulate the giant rocks under his feet to turn to sand, flying into the air clump by clump, merging into the magic domain and swooping towards Ronan.
"This is my domain.
The Power of Delay; even if you now want to move your little finger, you first need to overcome this land, plus all the gravity brought by the Magic Sand on your body..."
Ronan kept a stoic face, still trying bit by bit to control the dual swords in his hands.
But more and more Delayed Sand settled on him, resembling bizarre brown tentacles, wrapping around him in spirals.
"Ding —"
A sound clear like crystal chime.
Lanni’s silver arm bracelet worn on his right arm melted, falling into his hand, transforming into a thick and ornate silver crystal longsword.
He gently grasped the hilt with both hands, stepping towards Ronan, who was now nearly completely covered by Delayed Sand, with only a pair of eyes exposed.
"My sword will strike your face..."
Lanni spoke calmly, and as he walked, the slanting scar on his face seemed to come alive, minutely wriggling.
"This is the mark of shame Benny left me, now..."
Lanni approached Ronan closely, by now Ronan’s eyes were also completely smothered by the sand.
He raised the heavy sword high, poised to chop downward, his eyes cold and his tone chilling as he said word by word: "I’m passing it on to you!"
Terrifying energy fluctuations rapidly converged on the heavy sword in Lanni’s hands.
His metal medium was a special kind of crystal-like metal, transforming the formed heavy sword into a sparkling and crystal-clear artefact, which after numerous energy particles were infused, shone with an earthy yellow light, adding unparalleled sharpness and an indescribable sense of massiveness.
"&@@&!"
Lanni uttered short syllables, a fierce look flashed across his face, gripping the heavy sword with both hands, he ferociously chopped down towards the human-shaped pile of sand before him.
Before the sword was fully unleashed, an astonishing wave of energy surged through the sword, pressing the air around Lanni into twisted trails.
It even affected the group of Magic Ring Wizards watching below, each one’s face changed dramatically as they desperately retreated.
Intermediate Level 2 Stage Wizards, especially those like Lanni of the Fourth Circle who had understood the power of the Extraordinary Magic Domain, achieving high standards in areas like Soul Seals, combat talents, and spell comprehension.
Once he fully unleashed his power, the resulting force was like a mountain collapsing into the sea, filling one with despair.
How could a shining new star matter?
The gap in real strength lays bare; your strongest aspect might only reach someone else’s weak spot, maybe slightly surpassing, but when all aspects are combined... there’s only one outcome of complete crushing!
The silver giant bat Biondini, hovering next to the battlefield, silently watched the scene, its gem-like eyes faintly flickering.
It seemed to be weighing, contemplating whether to immediately stop the battle.
Yet, just as Lanni’s heavy sword fell, when everyone thought this battle was about to end, that the unstoppable new star Ronan would announce the end in a bloodied and battered state...
