Chapter 167: Chapter 101: Night Light Moss, It’s You Again_2

Seeing Ronan nod, she quickly got to the point, "Then would you like to join our team? We already have quite a few people here, from various Magic Rings..."

"Beyoncé!"

Before the Beautiful Witch could finish speaking, someone on deck called out her name loudly.

A handsome blond young man strode towards them.

The spiritual power emanating from the blond young man almost solidified the surrounding air into chunks, his gaze swept over Ronan with thick disdain, then he spoke to the Beautiful Witch with slight dissatisfaction.

"What are you doing? I’ve told you many times, don’t just invite wizards from other Magic Rings, especially this kind..."

Named Beyoncé, the Beautiful Witch still wanted to say something to Ronan, but she was forcibly pulled away by the blond young man, leaving Ronan with only an apologetic look.

Ronan calmly withdrew his gaze and continued to watch the landscape swiftly passing by.

It could be seen that the majority of Magic Ring Wizards travel by forming teams when going on missions.

"Solitary Wolves" like him were quite rare.

At last, the Magic Airship stopped in a forest of picturesque scenery. The entrance to the "Damp Jungle" Secret Realm Space was a huge tree hole.

Ronan followed a group of Magic Ring Wizards through the tree hole, and upon entering, it was a completely different world.

It was dark, damp, the air carried an unshakable stench of rot. Just a few steps in and there was a vast black mire swamp, and beyond that was a densely packed black jungle.

Before disembarking the airship, Ronan received a rudimentary map of the "Damp Jungle" distributed by the Magic Ring Sect. While he was holding a Rune Stone to check the map, the Magic Ring Wizards accompanying him had already left swiftly in small groups.

By the time he had finished studying the entire map and looked up, he was the only one left.

Benny had no idea where exactly the "Brain-eating Flower" grew, only telling him that it was generally found in areas with many Demon Beasts or animals, as the Brain-eating Flower used the brains of living creatures as nutrients for growth, and large patches of Night Light Moss would often grow nearby where Brain-eating Flowers were found...

"I can only search slowly..."

Ronan put away the Rune Stone map, shook his head, and randomly chose a direction to activate his Flying Ring and took to the air.

...

Inside the twisted black forest, bursts of intense Energy Particles fluctuations transmitted continuously.

"Ice Blade!"

"Frost Whirlwind!"

Ronan was suspended midair, his Magic Robe draping naturally, continuously summoning various Ice Magic Spells, throwing them towards a giant purple spider perched on a black strange tree covered in withered vines.

He was enveloped by silver threads, and countless round-bellied small spiders were coming towards him like a tide along those omnipresent silver webs.

Yet before they could get close, they were frozen into small balls of ice by the extreme cold emanating from Ronan, and they crackled as they fell to the ground, piling up a thick layer of icy spider corpses below his feet.

"Frost Spear!"

Ronan casually summoned a chilling, Ice Crystal-like magical spear.

Upon the creation of the spear, silver metallic liquid flowed out from beneath his right arm’s Magic Robe sleeve, quickly covering the Ice Spear.

The silver metal-boosted Ice Spear shot out like lightning, piercing through the giant spider’s body almost instantly.

The latter let out a painful and furious shriek, fear evident in its purple eyes, but before it could turn to flee, the silver spear plunged into its belly exploded abruptly.

"High Energy Crucible!"

"Boom!"

The immense power of the spell instantly shattered the Intermediate First Rank Demon Beast purple spider into pieces, with numerous limbs and sticky fluids splattering everywhere, making the small area foul and stinking.

Ronan patted his Magic Robe, stepped in the air to walk over, and randomly searched behind the carcass of the Demon Beast spider, eventually picking a strange bunch of grapes that resembled a cluster of eyeballs in a hidden unremarkable corner.

He glanced at it casually and kept this still somewhat precious Magic Potion in his Waist Storage Bag.

Ronan continued to venture deeper into the jungle.

There were quite a few valuable Magic Potions in the Damp Jungle, and, along the way, Ronan had already acquired five different kinds. Selling them to wizards or a Magic Pharmacy in need could probably net him over a hundred Advanced Magic Stones.

His Mastery in all First Rank Ice Magic and Proficiency level Metal Magic, along with the [Silverization] of the Magic Nightmare Tungsten Steel, meant that even without using [Frozen Soil] and unleashing the Despair Domain, his combat strength was much stronger than that of an average Intermediate Level 1 Wizard.

"The Silverized Magic Nightmare Tungsten Steel’s enhancement to Metal Magic is too significant. This is still without any interaction with Ice Magic. If my minor was Dark Magic, I estimate the combat strength displayed would be even more outrageous..."

Ronan silently reflected.

All these battles made him realize that even if he didn’t invoke the power of the Extraordinary Magic Domain, he was not just a run-of-the-mill Level 1 Wizard.

With Benny’s Magic Nightmare Tungsten Steel in his hands, he held a high-level strong "Divine Artifact". As long as he was willing to work hard on Metal Magic, he would eventually be a force to be reckoned with among Level 1 Wizards.

Unfortunately... Ronan’s goal was far from being merely "unrivaled among his peers".

"Could we have gone the wrong way? There’s not a single clue about the Brain-Eating Flower..."

Ronan strolled through the dimly lit forest, feeling a sense of growing urgency in his heart.

He was not the first person to enter the "Damp Jungle," nor was he the only one aware of the existence of the "Brain-Eating Flower."

If he continued to wander aimlessly like a headless fly, he feared he wouldn’t even qualify to compete for the Brain-Eating Flower.

"Crack—"

Suddenly, Ronan’s expression changed, and his eyes sharply turned in one direction.

The [Pure Body]’s heightened senses allowed him to hear sounds of a battle taking place at a great distance.

Without much hesitation, Ronan rushed towards the source of the sounds at high speed.

Quickly, his spiritual power caught the fluctuations of energy particles, clearly indicating that someone was using spells.

However, as Ronan neared, the traces of the magical disturbance weakened—had the battle already reached its conclusion?

"Whoosh—"

Ronan’s racing figure abruptly came to a halt amidst the shadows of the trees.

He stood silently in mid-air, his eyes piercing through the gaps of the twisted and entwined branches, landing precisely on a figure wearing a silver robe in the distance.

At this range, even a Level 1 Wizard’s spiritual power couldn’t be detected, but beneath the deep blue sky, he could see everything clearly.

The Wizard, also a bearer of a Magic Ring, was next to the corpse of a Magic Beast, looking as if he had just killed the beast and was organizing his spoils.

Ronan shook his head, ready to turn away and leave.

But just as he was about to turn around, he suddenly looked back sharply.

His gaze locked onto the wizard’s figure, at the edge of his beast skin boots, which seemed to have a faint luminescent color on them.

Following the direction behind him, he saw several footprints, also glowing faintly, entering Ronan’s view.

"He has passed through an area with Night Light Moss growing..."

....

In the humid, foul-smelling land, the air was filled with the stench of rotting corpses, and beneath the twisted black strange trees, broken bones could occasionally be seen half-buried in the soil.

Six or seven men and women in silver robes gathered in this small, filthy clearing, their expressions serious, as if they were discussing something.

"I’ve heard a bit about Barbus from the First Magic Ring," said a wizard with narrow eyes and brown hair in a low voice. "His Metal Puppetry is quite famous among a few Level 1 Wizards of the Magic Ring Sect..."

"Individual strength is not all that matters. Viren is also on the threshold of becoming a Level 2 Wizard. Dealing with Barbus shouldn’t be a problem.

The key is that he has more people under him than we do..."

Someone said.

"Could we negotiate an alliance with the leader of the Third Magic Ring, to kick Barbus’s bunch out first and then decide on the ownership of the Brain-Eating Flower?"

"Viren! What do you think?"

In the center of the crowd, a blonde youth whose presence nearly solidified the surrounding air into chunks with his great spiritual power, swiftly flickered with light in his eyes as if weighing his options.

Suddenly, he scanned the surroundings, his eyebrows tightly knitted together.

"Where is Beyoncé? Has anyone seen Beyoncé?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the other wizards in silver robes realized that their small team had lost a member without knowing when.

Just as they were about to get up anxiously and search for their missing companion.

"Whoosh—"

A rustling of footsteps came from the bushes next to the clearing, followed by a petite figure dashing quickly out of the thicket.

"Stop looking! I’m here!"

The Beautiful Witch with wheat-colored skin called out loudly as she panted.

However, behind her, there followed another figure.

White hair, blue eyes, and a silver-gray long robe.

A youth with a cold demeanor and exceptionally handsome features.
