Chapter 155: Chapter 96: Is This All You’ve Got?

Ronan had just entered the Secret Realm Space when a figure began to slowly reveal itself not far from the entrance.

Pale-skinned, thin-lipped, with drooping eyebrows... the person emitted the powerful spiritual power fluctuations of a Late Level 1 Stage Wizard, yet there was a cold, harsh feeling about him, as if he were a venomous snake that had just crawled out from a dark, damp place.

It was the middle-aged wizard who had been following Ronan for several days.

At this moment, a transparent, thick substance on his body was receding, and the parts of his body still covered by this substance were nearly indistinguishable from the surrounding environment.

The middle-aged Wizard, staring in the direction Ronan disappeared, took out a Communication Stone emitting a faint rune glow from his Waist Storage Bag and began to speak.

"Travis’s tricks have been seen through; he must be almost out of his mind by now..."

"This kid has taken on a trial mission... and he’s already gone in."

"Don’t worry, I know what to do..."

After putting away the Communication Stone, the flowing transparent substance once again enveloped him entirely.

This was a special metal medium exclusive to him, originating from an ancient Secret Realm; combined with spells, even a Second-level Wizard couldn’t easily see through his stealth when he wasn’t actively casting.

This was his greatest reliance for boldly and brazenly following his target.

The middle-aged wizard then merged with the environment again, moving so stealthily that even the light barely revealed any change.

Entering the Secret Realm Space, he was greeted by a desolate rocky landscape.

There were many similar realms beneath the Magic Ring.

Most had been thoroughly explored but still maintained some value, thus intentionally preserved for the trial missions of member wizards.

Not seeing the target person in his field of vision, the middle-aged wizard was clear about where the other would appear.

What he intended to do next was to sabotage the purpose of the other’s journey and make his mission fail again.

The middle-aged wizard hastened along the rocky terrain, reaching an area of gloomy withered trees at the end of the rocky stretch.

As he entered the withered forest, he got closer to the final destination of the mission, gradually hearing the booming sounds of spells, severe energy fluctuations coming from ahead, along with the faint growls and howls of Magic Beasts.

The middle-aged wizard quickened his pace and eventually arrived at the mission location; a battle scene unfolded before his eyes, with the target person clearly amid it.

A handsome youth in a Silver Robe floated mid-air; his delicate cheeks and neck had light blue exquisite runes emerging, his whole body swirling with the surging energy of Ice Frost, sending rolling white frost spreading out from him as the center.

He continuously summoned spear-like ice crystals, whistling snowstorms, and massive swirling Ice Balls... various Ice Magic spells continuously flew out of his hands, turning the whole battlefield into a land of ice and snow.

Below, an unusually large Night Owl Demon Beast struggled under the youth’s relentless spell assault, hardly able to lift its head.

Its black-red flesh wings were covered with thick Ice Frost, unable to fly, mostly buried in ice and snow. Occasionally, it spat a few Magic Light Balls into the air, but before they could get close to the youth’s body, they were blocked by armor solidified by Ice Frost and a thick Metallic Protective Shield...

This was completely a one-sided battle.

The middle-aged wizard watched this scene, his eyes revealing a hint of surprised concern.

He had seen more than one similar battle over the days of following the youth; although only an Intermediate Level 1 Wizard, the youth’s strength was terrifying, handling an Advanced First Rank Magic Beast as effortlessly as eating and drinking.

This was also the main reason why he had only monitored and tracked these few days without making a stealth attack.

Once a fight broke out, he, a Late Stage Level 1 Wizard, might not necessarily be a match for the youth.

"No wonder he dares to provoke the master; indeed, he can be considered quite a genius..."

"But what can being a genius do?"

The middle-aged wizard was indifferent; there were too many ways they could slowly deal with the youth before he fully matured.

Every step he took next would be meticulously calculated.

Genius?

Benny was also a genius in the past, his brilliance ten times that of this guy, but in the end, he also fell to being a "cripple."

A cold light flashed in the eyes of the middle-aged wizard as he started to move along the edge of the area.

He searched around and soon his sight fell on several plants with black curved leaves, the tips of which were fluffy and messy like hawk feathers.

The middle-aged wizard’s eyes slightly brightened, unconsciously glancing towards the direction of the target youth, who was still deeply engaged in battle, and the battle was nearing its end.

What he was about to do was simple: just steal or destroy several of the Magic Potions required for the mission as soon as the other party finished the battle.

"Boom!"

A loud booming noise of magic exploded in his ears, the Night Owl Demon Beast let out a pained roar as its huge body staggered, seemingly about to fall at any moment.

"Almost there, now is the time..."

A glint flashed in the eyes of the middle-aged wizard, who promptly raised his hand and cast a low-level Magic spell, directly throwing it at several Magic Potions.

As he cast the spell, his entire body rapidly retreated, simultaneously turning his head to look in the direction of the youth.

He could almost imagine the sequence of reactions from the other party—

Surprised, anxious, enraged... rushing in a panic to the destroyed Magic Potions, but by the time he realized, the older wizard had already calmly retreated...
