Chapter 127: Chapter 83 Expert Ice Ball, No. 131 Tongding Street_3
In fact, I don’t think there’s a need to hurry into joining the Magic Ring. It’s true that the Magic Ring has inheritance and resources, but how much of it can really fall into our lap?
There are so many restrictions, isn’t it better to live freely for thirty years?
We still have plenty of time, right, Damien...
Damien! Damien! Damn, are you even listening to me?..."
Ronan had long since walked away, leaving Quidi’s shouts behind him.
He lowered his head to look at the slip of paper Quidi had given him, which simply listed an address—No. 131 Tongding Street.
...
If the outskirts of Seventh Ring City have a "Slums," then Tongding Street would be it.
Ronan strolled down the desolate and dilapidated street, the ground littered with cracks everywhere, with abandoned and derelict houses and shops on both sides of the road.
Walking along, one could only see the occasional house front with a still-lit crystal street lamp.
It’s hard to imagine that an Official Wizard of the Magic Ring would choose to live in such a place, even the most down-and-out Level 1 Official Wizard would hardly tolerate this environment.
Ronan conjured an ice crystal the size of a pigeon’s egg in his hand, flipping and rotating it between his slender and even fingers; it was a little trick he figured out to exercise control over Ice Energy.
While leisurely strolling down the street, he opened his character panel to check.
[Strength: Level 1 Official Wizard (24%)]
After downing bottle after bottle of Mental Power Enhancement Potion, his strength progress had risen to 24% of a Level 1 Official Wizard, with his spiritual power having more than doubled since his promotion.
If judged by the standards of the Wizard World, he would now be close to reaching the Intermediate Level 1 Stage.
Because he frequently consumed potions and needed to continuously remove impurities from his spiritual power, Ronan diligently practiced his [Basic Meditation Technique], almost always having [Clear Sky Realm] activated, and [Basic Meditation Technique] Proficiency level had also broken through the Master Level milestone of one hundred.
Every hundred points of Proficiency level is a threshold; Ronan clearly noticed that now, the efficiency with which he used [Basic Meditation Technique] to remove impurities had improved significantly.
Anybody even slightly aware of his situation would advise him to cut down on potion usage, wary that impurities in spiritual power could impact his path to further promotion.
In fact, Ronan’s true situation was the exact opposite of what everyone presumed; due to the constant cleansing from [Clear Sky Realm], not only was his spiritual power not impure, but it was also much purer than the spiritual power of an average Early Stage Level 1 Wizard.
Ronan had even begun to feel the benefits that came with the purity of his spiritual power—faster casting speed, less spiritual power consumed during spellcasting, and smoother transitions between spells...
What truly hindered his advancement had always been his soul’s aptitude; even after undergoing a purification, his soul’s aptitude could only be considered average among Level 1 Wizards.
Because he continuously focused on practicing Ice Magic, the Proficiency level of several commonly used spells had not improved much, but he had trained three First Rank Ice Magic spells—[Cold Ice Armor], [Frost Spear], and [Frost Whirlwind]—to a proficient level.
The [Ice Ball Skill], which he painstakingly ground out, had even reached (Expert 784/800).
It wouldn’t be long before he broke through to Master Level.
As a Level 1 Wizard focusing on practicing a spell of Zero Rank, especially one that’s Low-level, the Proficiency level indeed rose rapidly.
In the past, reaching such progress would have taken at least three months.
Ronan had experimented and found that now, with his [Ice Ball Skill] at nearly Complete Expert Level combined with two First Rank spells as Anchor Points to construct the Ice Cold Domain, the might generated by the Domain was not lesser than when he previously used all First Rank spells to construct it.
If he were to add [Ice Ball Skill] as a fourth Anchor Point spell on top of the original foundation, the might of the Ice Cold Domain could be enhanced by almost a third.
This proved that the direction of his hard work was probably right.
But to truly cause a qualitative change in his Domain, he still had to wait until [Ice Ball Skill] completely advanced to Master Level and evolved into the Extraordinary Magic Realm to know.
Unknowingly, Ronan had arrived at his destination.
