Chapter 125: Chapter 83 Expert Ice Ball, No. 131 Tongding Street
After advancing to a Level 1 Wizard, Ronan’s biggest regret was that he could not fully leverage the advantage of mastering two major Extraordinary Magic Domains.
At Hoddam Academy, he chose to specialize in Energy Magic in front of Grace, with the aim of utilizing the [Energy Missile - Particle Torrent] as a trump card to build a stronger magic system around it.
Later, when he arrived at the Silver Magic Ring, all he could think about was joining the Ring, also because the Silver Magic Ring’s Metal Magic inheritance and [Charging Weapon - Breaking Magic Power] were a "match made in heaven", allowing the power of this domain to be fully exploited.
Unfortunately, both plans fell apart, and Ronan eventually selected Ice Magic.
At this point, asking him to abandon practicing perfectly good First Rank Magic purely to pursue an Ice Based Extraordinary Magic Domain somehow seemed foolish—since he already had a trump card-level magic with [Particle Torrent], missing another Ice-based one didn’t make sense. Was it really impossible to derive an Extraordinary Magic Domain from a First Rank Magic?
But now, the situation had changed a bit.
"If my idea really works..."
Ronan suppressed the faint excitement in his heart, took a deep breath, and his gaze burned brightly, "Then the [Frozen Soil] rune in my hands might reach an unprecedented height!"
With his current strength as a Level 1 Wizard, revisiting Zero Rank Magic to increase his proficiency level and pushing a Zero Rank Magic to Master Level... not as simple as eating or drinking but still far easier than developing a First Rank Magic.
And once the magic derived an Extraordinary Domain, then the Ice Cold Domain constructed from the [Frozen Soil] Seal could very well experience a qualitative transformation!
Fortunately, he also had most of the Zero Rank Ice Magic in his possession, courtesy of Linus.
Ronan calmed his emotions, wasted no time, and quickly made a plan.
Originally intended as anchor points were three First Rank Magic spells—the [Cold Ice Armor], [Frost Spear], and [Frost Whirlwind].
He retained only two, choosing based on different situations. The vacated anchor point was left for—Zero Rank Low-level [Ice Ball Skill], Zero Rank Intermediate [Frost Ray], Zero Rank Advanced [Ice Blade Skill]...
These were the skills that Ronan would focus on next.
A new domain structure was formed.
Perhaps, in the short term, the power of this new Ice Cold Domain would weaken, but once the proficiency level of the "lagging" Zero Rank Magic spells reached Master Level, deriving an Extraordinary Domain, everything would be completely different.
At this moment, Ronan was filled with vigor and immediately began to practice [Ice Ball Skill].
He had a solid foundation in this skill, and his proficiency level was almost at mastery, estimating it wouldn’t take too long to reach mastery.
"Ha!"
Casually tossing an ice ball at the distant spell testing wall, illuminating a small patch of Energy Absorption Crystal, Ronan suddenly shook his head, realizing.
"Practicing Zero Rank Magic, why do I need a Magic Training Room? It’s irrelevant how much power it can display... purely a waste, I’ll just find a spot outdoors."
Ronan immediately left the training room, didn’t return to the Blueberry Inn, and headed straight out of Magic Ring City.
Passing through the enormous metal archway, leaving the protection of the Rune Formation.
Ronan stood at the edge of the base of the seven Silver Towers, overlooking the valley below, the high-altitude wind making his magic robe flutter.
He took out a Flying Ring, gently rotated it, and Ronan was lifted by an invisible force to fly downward.
This was his first time leaving the city since entering the Silver Magic Ring. In the distance was an endless vast forest, with white mist lingering above it, and strange roars occasionally drifting across from afar.
Ronan extended a hand, watching fine particles of ice and frost drift out from between his fingers, continuously blown away by the wind.
"From now on... I’m a bona fide Ice Wizard..."
....
It was a small tavern, with the sound of a harp flowing in the air like a stream, wizards in various robes sitting together in twos and threes, creating a peaceful and leisurely atmosphere.
Accompanied by the pleasant sound of a wind chime, the tavern door opened, and a silhouette entered from outside.
It was a tall and burly man, rugged in appearance, with fiery red hair. If not for the dense flame-patterned tattoos on his cheeks and neck, he looked more like a knight than a wizard.
After entering the tavern, the red-haired man looked around, quickly locking eyes with a figure in the corner, and walked over with a smile.
"You’re late again, Quidi."
Before the red-haired man could fully approach that figure, a cold voice already spoke up.
Seated alone at a brown wood round table in the corner, the figure in a silver-gray magic robe lifted their head, revealing a handsome and valiant face.
This was unmistakably a gorgeous young man, young and full of charm, yet the overly calm lake-blue eyes and the faint coldness he constantly emitted perpetually signaled a warning to keep others at a distance.
"Just a minute. You’re too harsh, Damien."
The red-haired man shrugged, snapped his fingers to order his drink, and sat down boldly in front of the handsome young man, "Are all Ice Wizards as difficult to deal with as you?"
"Am I difficult to deal with?"
Ronan lightly swirled the crystal glass in his hand, squinted at the blurred reflection of the youth in the glass, and said in a low voice, "Perhaps."
He had just realized, unknowingly, that he seemed to have gradually become an eccentric and difficult person in the eyes of others.
