Chapter 103: Chapter 74 Be Careful Not to Trip Over the Insect’s Thin Legs_3

"You should know how tricky she gets when she loses her temper..."

Jerome thought for a moment and then replied, "Then we’ll wait until she’s done throwing her tantrum before we take her away. Anyway... it won’t take too long."

The Beautiful Witch was somewhat surprised to hear this and glanced at Jerome.

"That doesn’t sound like something you would say, Jerome... Have you not always been the most caring and supportive with Apprentice Level young wizards? And I remember, you had high hopes for that young wizard."

"There’s a right time for everything..."

Jerome’s expression was indifferent as he spoke, "All that is a luxury for us who are currently on the run."

The Beautiful Witch said no more.

Soon, the two approached the forest and from a distance saw Lola’s signature vine spells wildly dancing amidst the trees, with large swaths of trees collapsing under the terrifying brute force.

A breath entered their perception.

Suddenly, an intense fluctuation of energy particles emanated from the midst of the battle, accompanied by faint traces of a mysterious aura.

The approaching Beautiful Witch felt these, and she suddenly covered her mouth.

"What have I sensed? Jerome.

It feels like the aura of an Extraordinary Magic Domain!

Am I sensing it wrong?

And..."

The Beautiful Witch had a look of shock and uncertainty on her face, turning her head in disbelief to look at Jerome beside her, "When did this young wizard advance to Level 1?!"

Jerome’s eyes flickered intensely and after a few seconds, he quickly uttered.

"Let’s get closer and see!"

...

"Clang! Pff—Sizzle—"

Ronan mustered his strength and slashed his sword at a dark green vine, as thick as an adult’s thigh, which lunged towards him.

The blade struck the vine, producing a crisp metallic sound, then swiftly cut into it with a slight resistance before breaking free. A section of the severed vine fell to the ground, writhing as if alive.

"Dammit!"

Although he blocked the attack, Ronan’s expression was far from good.

He looked down at the longsword in his hand. The black slender blade enveloped in billowing blue flames was nicked on both sides, making it feel like it was about to shatter.

The [Charging Weapon—Power of Break Magic], with a proficiency level over one hundred, easily shattered the blood magic spell cast by a Black Robed Wizard from Crimson Tower, as if slicing through crisp paper when pushed by the powerful spiritual power of an Official Wizard.

However, when facing the insane woman Lola and her vine magic, its might diminished dramatically.

"This is not purely First Rank Magic; the energy particles are based on real matter, almost a bizarre combination of Magic Tool and Magic Spell..."

The [Power of Break Magic] could easily dissolve the arrangement of energy particles that constitute a spell, but cutting the vine required relying on the sharpness of the magic longsword itself, and those damn vines Lola summoned were incredibly tough...

Ronan once again felt the frustration of powerlessness.

If he were now holding a First Rank magic longsword, the scene might be drastically different.

He had been a Level 1 Wizard for far too short a time.

With his longsword dancing, Ronan’s Master Level [Basic Swordsmanship] shone brighter than ever before.

His figure left blurred afterimages in the woods as he dodged the aggressive vines that struck like pythons, rapidly closing in on Lola.

At this point, the various Zero Rank spells he had learned were practically useless in combat, apart from disrupting rhythm and consuming spiritual power.

What he could rely on were only two major Magic Domain powers...and a physique seemingly aged but underneath, constantly surging with a strength comparable to a humanoid Magic Beast!

"You have indeed given me some surprises..."

Lola floated in the air between two White Nan Trees, with dozens of dark green vines growing long behind her, making her look like a dangerous and venomous human-faced spider.

Her expressionless face looked at Ronan in front of her, her green pupils reflecting his white hair, and the ethereal blue flames burning on his longsword.

"Ascended to Level 1, and even mastered a low-profile Magic Domain power..."

Lola’s expression suddenly twisted into ferocity, tattoos of dark green on her face turned a blood-red in an instant, and the blood-red rune patterns rapidly grew along the many vines behind her.

In an instant, the already tenacious dark green vines swelled and thickened, doubling in size, their attacking force and speed surging as if they were a horde of bloodthirsty pythons!

The vines, crawling with blood-red patterns on Lola’s face, were fierce and terrifying. She opened her mouth and emitted a sharp scream as the killing intent nearly overflowed from her.

Dozens of thick blood-drenched vines tore through the air with a terrible whistling sound, mercilessly cutting down swathes of trees like harvesting wheat... and swiftly struck an unsuspecting grey shadow.

"Bang!"

The grey figure that was hit instantly burst into a cloud of blood mist, shot out like a cannonball but forcibly stopped halfway by snapping an old tree, rebounded back, and ended up rolling embarrassingly close to Lola.

Lola looked down coldly at him, the dozens of blood-colored vines moving slightly behind her like tentacles, emitting a disconcerting aura.

At this point, she was in no rush to take action.

"What a pity...a bug is still a bug... Even if it has grown a bit stronger, it still remains pitifully weak!"

"Cough, cough..."

The person curled up on the ground like a shrimp coughed violently, spitting out clumps of blood.

Then he struggled to prop up his body, slowly climbing up from the ground.

At this moment, Ronan looked utterly miserable.

His grey robe was nearly shattered, stained a dark color by blood, his greyish-white hair disheveled, soaked by a mix of blood and sweat, sticking clumsily to his cheeks and forehead.

Ronan seemed to be tottering, about to die the next second, and the black longsword in his hand was also broken, leaving only half.

"Bug..."

He muttered to himself, repeating Lola’s words, with his eyes gradually glowing, the clear blue almost bursting forth.

"Careful not to trip over the bug’s slender legs!"

With that said, Ronan bared his teeth, revealing an ice-cold yet brilliantly bright smile to Lola, who had never been this close to him.

"[Energy Missile—Particle Torrent]!"

Countless mysterious forces converged, an enormous Magic Domain suddenly took shape.

As dozens of pure black particles formed a mighty torrent, rolling and crashing forward, Ronan’s appearance of defeat and weakness also vanished like smoke.

"Bang!"

The ground exploded, and the figure holding the broken sword surged forward following the terrifying torrent, with roaring flames like a fluttering ethereal blue banner, fiercely lunging at the shocked Lola.

"Die, you bitch!"

As the cold, furious roar sounded, two figures arrived on the edge of the battleground just in time.

Jerome and the Beautiful Witch’s eyelids both twitched fiercely, sensing the instant eruption of two distinctly terrifying powers.

"Two...two Extraordinary Magic Domain powers..."

"How did he manage to do it?!"

The Beautiful Witch nearly moaned this exclamation of astonishment.
