Chapter 475: The Sleeping Banshee

"Are they okay?" I asked, breaking the silence between us. It had been days since Emma set out to find Dace. I had no doubt she had found him, but the real question kept bugging me; Were they both alright?
"I hope so," Grayson replied softly, his fingers trailing light touches along my bare back. I drew circles on his chest in return.
"I love this," I whispered, a faint smile playing on my lips as I glanced at Grayson. "You here. It makes its easier."
Grayson’s eyes met mine mirroring the emotions. "Yes, it does," he murmured as he reached for my hand.
With a sigh, I snuggled closer to him. Despite everything, having Grayson by my side made them more bearable. In this bubble we shared, the tension of the outside world was silenced.
"They’ve been through so much," I said. "I just hope Dace can overcome his guilt. It nearly consumed him to the point of..." I paused, recalling the distressing sight of blood and shattered glass. "...to the point where he almost took his own life."
I remembered how frantic Emma had been, how desperate she was as she fought to keep Dace grounded. "She’s the only one who can truly reach him," I added. "I just hope she’s up to the task."
"She is... if anyone can handle Dace it’s Emma. They are meant for each other and what they share is unbreakable" Grayson said before sighing heavily.
The weight of it told me he was just as bothered.
Not just us... everyone in the entire mansion felt it too. It was like a dark cloud hanging over the place.
Our Alpha was unrest and his Lioness was just in the same state. Its affecting everyone in a different degree.
Grayson barely slept these past few days. The exhaustion plastered on his face.
And to make matters worse, Hayden’s presence only added to the tension.
At the reminder of our visitor, I rose from the bed. "I’m going to go check on Hayden," I said, turning to face Grayson.
"I will come with," he offered.
"No," I said, gently placing my hand on his chest to keep him on the bed. "You need sleep, Grayson."
"I’m fine," he protested weakly, but I could see the fatigue in his handsome face. His bed hair was even more appealing, tempting me to lay back in bed with him and have more wild sex together.
But Grumpy needed his beauty sleep.
"No, you’re not," I countered. "I’m a werelion, and I can go days without sleeping, but you, Grumpy, are very much human."
A soft chuckle escaped his lips. "You’re going to let that name stick, huh?"
I smirked, leaning in to plant a kiss on his lips. "As long as you keep calling me princess," I teased. "Sleep tight."
I left him to rest, knowing that he needed it more than he cared to admit. I quickly put on some clothes and made my way to check on Hayden.
I couldn’t shake the worry gnawing at my insides. But for now, all I could do was carry on and hope for the best.

Hayden hadn’t stirred since that day she came to the mansion. I called a doctor to check up on her.
After a thorough examination, the doctor couldn’t find any physical complications, yet Hayden remained unresponsive.
He mentioned the possibility of her being in a coma-like state, reassuring me that her vital signs were stable and there was no need for life support.
But I was still worried inspite of his reassurance.
Hayden’s ability to return Dace’s memories with a mere touch was remarkable. Even more intriguing was the possibility that she had somehow unraveled the supposed blessing granted on Emma and Grayson by their father. It was a revelation that showed the true extent of a Banshee’s power.
Even though they were widely known for their connection with death, it appeared that Hayden possessed a unique talent for breaking curses.
Her power was astounding. It was a deep reminder that in our world, where the supernatural intertwined with the normal, there was always more than met the eye.
Just like Emma and Grayson. I’m beginning to see just how important they are to the supernatural world. Their presence stir many things for question but it was still no doubt the evidence that bloodlines could mix.
I never thought I’d live to see such a miracle.
"Wake up, Hayden," I murmured softly, leaning closer to the sleeping girl. My eyes willing her to wake up but it was but wishful thinking.
I didn’t know much about her but I understood how important it was for her to wake up. Emma held a deep care for Hayden, and besides, she was the only one who could shed light on the mysteries.
"Mrs. Emilia," a voice came in from the doorway, causing me to turn my head in annoyance. It was Singe, his expression told me he was concern about something but I was too tired right now.
"What?" I asked impatiently, sensing there was more to his interruption than a simple announcement.
"There is someone here," Singe began.
"We’re not expecting any visitors, and the Alpha isn’t here..." I pointed out.
Who could it be then? It better not be more trouble. I can barely handle enough as it is.
"About that..." he trailed off.
Ugh! I’m already frustrated enough, I don’t need this!
I shot a murderous glare at him and his mouth moved quickly.
"I think you should see for yourself."
I narrowed my eyes as I rose to my feet and followed Singe out of the room.
We made our way to the entrance door. "Please tell me this is not another Banshee awakening," I muttered, my hand gripping the doorknob and prying it open.
Familiar green eyes met mine, and a smile curled on my lips. It wasn’t another chaotic Banshee, but something far better.
"Ms. Adams," I mused. My gaze shifted to Vanessa beside her, noting the tension in her stance.
This was about to get a lot more complicated, isn’t it?
"Where are my children?" Emma’s mom demanded.
