The Night Of The Rogue Attack

I drove off the moment I dropped Emma home, I was speeding like a maniac on the lonely road, exceeding all fucking speed limits, but I didn’t care. I seriously felt the need to shift again, it was agonizing, and my beast was growling in my head like a damn dog. Everything aggravated me and I mean everything, my emotions were a whiplash right now and the strong urge to shift and rip this metal apart was like a fucking frustration.

God, I don’t even wanna mention the storm of sexual urge, merging with my emotions and anger. It took me everything not to fuck Emma in that bathroom covered in blood, it was a great relief I brought her home, she was safe... safe from me because I don’t know what I will do when if I hurt her, I will fucking rip myself apart if it meant laying a hand on her.

I was home in less than a minute, slamming the door shut and walking in, and just like I expected a guard told me my dad was looking for me, just like I hoped. I wasted no time as I marched to my dad’s studies, as I walked through the remaining guests eyeing me as I passed through, but I ignored them all. Anything will tick me off at this point, it was like my anger was a brewing storm ready to explode.

Without knocking I stepped into his study, before eyeing the left side of the fall with visible claw marks, my claw marks, when I almost fucked my baby girl here.

"Cub"

I turned my gaze to my dad, taking a seat and pouring some wine in two glasses. "Seat" It was a simple command with his alpha voice, we haven’t exactly spoken ever since he came back from his travels and I haven’t exactly had a good read of his emotions. Fine... he won’t read mine and I won’t read his.

I took my seat and he shifted the glass to my front and I wasted no time chugging it and he turned another.

"You look fucking terrible"

I huffed.

"I guess the nature of it after your shift as a rogue"

My blood went cold.

"Tell me how long now?"

I can’t lie and I can’t divert this topic, this was what I have been avoiding, maybe I can just buy time.

"The rogue that attacked, have anything on it?"

He shrugged. "Obviously it’s looking for you cub"

"What?" My emotions betrayed me as a look of surprise took over me.

"Now answer, how long"

"Ever since Emma was in a coma"

He nods. "Judging from the time frame it’s safe to say your genes are rewriting..." he smirks. "Congratulations son, you’re the first Alpha to become a rogue, tell me, how powerful do you feel"

I don’t get it, why the hell is he smirking like he got a prize? It was visible he wasn’t in the least disappointed or chaotic that his own son was turning to a species of extreme violence, a regular alpha was a storm of one, but being a rogue was like a call to the deepest wild. I might not even be myself anymore, I might not be just Dace Devereaux but a fucking monster, a fucking beast that sort nothing but blood and yet he’s smiling?

"What is this?" it was a growl rather than words, I was already angry again.

"All part of the plan," he says casually, standing up on his feet and taking a sip from the glass.

"What plan?"

"Look at you cub... already close to shifting, you know your eyes have remained a dark gold ever since"

I know... because all I see is hues of gold like I always see in my werelion form, my eyes haven’t changed back.

"The rogue, son, came for you... they feel it" he dropped the glass and rested his palm on the desk and leaned to me. "They feel the rush of powerful awakening in you... they feel their leader is born"

What the fuck is he talking about?

"The first rogue alpha" he smirked. "The first dark alpha in history" he mused.

And I gulped keeping my heated gaze on him. He leaned walking to the window and taking a sip again.

"For centuries whenever our kind gives in to the beast completely they become rogue, become mindless, and barely have a link to their human side, the only ones who haven’t succumbed to that because of their powerful control traits are the alphas" he faces me. "Us"

"Not until you did... when Emma fell into a coma, your need and your feelings exploded all at once and you let your beast take your pain, a weak but yet terrifying action" he huffed. "Did you really think when you revert after having Emma back that was the last time?"

"You knew all of this..." it was mumbled as my head split with every grip of his words"

"Oh I know, son... my own son falling for a human who turned out to be a half-witch, and his female, it was perfect, your obsessive side got the better of you... I have waited Dace, for the time you would come forth and become what I wanted you to be’’

"The vampire attack..." My grip tightened on the armrest and I begged, silently begged it was not true but the look in his eyes says it all.

"I cut a deal with the Zalatoris, come have a taste and every of my plan falls into place"

And then it hit me... "The Venators"

"Ha yes... that was an added bonus and a big accomplishment, our mortal enemies are no more, it was simple, drive them away and just at the right time wipe but out"

"Everything I do is for you son, now thanks to Emma you are becoming what I want you to be, just do dear old daddy a favor and keep the remains of your humanity, I don’t want your mother upset I can’t handle that"

I stood up abruptly. "You bring me here..." I began in a dark tone and my fist so tight that they drew blood. "And you tell You wiped out the Venators? The vampire attack was all you? You put Emma in danger? MY female... in danger just for what? To fucking make me a monster?"

"To unite part of our clans that was lost, your blood calls to them and they will keep coming until they take over here, unless you stand and rule them, rule them all. Because it is your destiny"

He closed the distance between us. "Do as you’re told cub, or else your female isn’t just in danger now they are here, they will wipe everything out if you don’t fucking stand and control them!"
