My pants echoed in the lab, I tried to catch my breath as best as I could, but that was a really hard feat not after the mind-blowing release I just passed through.

Dace brought his face to me before kissing me and I weakly kissed him back before he pulled away, as well as his fingers and I moaned as it exited my entrance. A smile played on his lips as he brought the same coated fingers to his lips and I knew what happens next.

My lips went apart as Dace did the hottest action ever enough to make a gasp escape me. He took his two fingers into his mouth and gave a clean lick to it. And I melted again down there, everything Dace did was like a wake to every desire possible left unquenched and untamed. He wasn’t a sexually active magical creature for nothing and it was rubbing off on me in every way possible.

"Now" he began as he zipped my jeans back up and made sure I was covered. "What we have to talk about" he added as he arranged my rustled hair properly.

I cleared my throat as I did the same thing with his hair too, it was my fault it was this messed up, so I fixed it as best as I could. He just watches me with a beautiful smile on his lips like he was staring at the most amazing thing ever.

"What?" I mused.

"I’m lucky to have you, my female," he says, placing a kiss on my knuckles and I blushed.

"Does it hurt?" I pointed to the red teeth mark on his neck, seeing it now I knew I bit him hard enough to break skin, thank god I didn’t. That would have been awful but I couldn’t deny the fact that his skin tasted amazing, I must be crazy.

"No, I like it, actually" he smirks.

"It’s too exposable," I said mindlessly, using his jacket collar to cover it up.

"Which is why I like it, everyone will know my female did this," he said but then his smile slowly faded and it was like a wake to reality. "Baby girl," he began.

I gulped.

"My parents are back"

"Is that why you didn’t come to school? Won’t you come to school anymore?" I was already panicking I knew his parents did not completely approve of our relationship but more importantly, I knew they might stop Dace and Emilia from coming to school, even though I knew they don’t need it but it was for the show to show that the Devereaux are practically normal teenagers but they can rid that fact if they want to and it won’t change a thing and that was what scares me. I always feel alone without Dace, the thought of not seeing him in school again was sickening for me.

"No not that"

"Then what?"

"We have guests, a distant family friend, and also part of the Pride Council"

"Pride Council? this isn’t lion king is it?"

He snickered at my words and held me closer with his hands on my waist. "No baby, it’s something far more important. My dad involved the Pride Council about this and..." he trailed. "I ended up announcing to them that I’m mated which I don’t regret"

Why do I get a feeling that there was more?

"That’s like announcing to the whole clan that their soon-to-be alpha has chosen his female"

"A half-witch Female," I said. "They aren’t gonna like the sound of that"

"I don’t care, no one will tell me otherwise" he held my hand tightly. "I love you Emma and I choose you even for years to come, I don’t care what my parents want or think, they have to get it into their heads that I have chosen you and that is final"

"Why do you seem bothered by something," I said softly because I could tell, this wasn’t the end of it.

He exhaled sharply. "The Dominguez invites you for dinner... they want to meet you"

"The Dominguez?"

"Yes our branch family and also part of the Pride Council my dad created, they hold just as much power as us"

"D-Dinner" my nerves suddenly skyrocket. With a branch Family, I don’t know a thing about? I can’t even keep my nerves settled with Dace’s parents not to talk more of another family of werelions.

"Tonight"

"Tonight?!"

"Baby if you don’t wanna come then I understand"

"But doesn’t that mean I’m not serious about you? That gives them the idea I’m not worthy"

"You’re not going there to prove anything to them, I have already accepted you and that is what matters"

"I don’t think that is the case here..."

He sighed, running his hand through his hair and parted from me.

"I get that you chose me and you don’t want me proving to anyone that you have me" I began as I dropped down from the table.

"Yes, that’s the point" he faces me.

"Your clan is important too Dace and you have a much bigger role in the future and I don’t wanna get in the way of-"

"Hey hey..." he walked to me in a heartbeat. "Don’t say that to me right now or I will get angry"

I gulped.

"You’re not in the way of anything you hear me?"

I leveled my gaze. "Look at me, Emma"

I did but slowly and he cupped my cheeks. "You have me, you know that right?"

I nodded.

"Nothing will ever change that I promise you, I’m gonna try my best, this has to work because I can’t imagine my life without you"

I placed my hand on his palm against my cheek. "Me too," I said in a shaky voice. "But you and I know I have to be there"

"I shouldn’t have told you this... you pushed me"

"Well I’m glad you did"

He sighed heavily. "Are you sure you can handle this?"

"Not without you I can’t"
