Chapter 205: -19- Elf Clan also have discrimination?_3

Sebastian had covered his ears today and wasn’t recognized as an elf.

The accommodation process was quickly completed, with a suite reserved for nobles, subdivided into several rooms, including five bedrooms, one main and four secondary.

Lord Charlotte stayed alone in the master bedroom while Sebastian, Sherry, and Rena each had one of the secondary bedrooms, whereas Nisi shared a secondary bedroom with Rand.

Nisi: ...

"Targeting me! Sebastian, you’re targeting me!"

He fumed.

"Be thankful, as a cat to still have a bedroom to sleep in."

Sebastian said with a smile.

"Discrimination! This is discrimination!"

Black Cat puffed up his whiskers and glared.

And Rand chuckled as he looked at Nisi, scratching his head and saying,

"Lord Nisi, don’t worry, I don’t snore at night."

Nisi: ...

After packing up their belongings, the group went to dine.

The dinner was typically elf-style, hardly any meat visible, only one meat dish, but the overall taste was excellent and the food well crafted.

Lord Charlotte thoroughly enjoyed the elves’ honey wine, which subconsciously reminded her of pineapple beer she had tasted in a past life, but even more refreshing and delicious.

The two maids and the knight ate heartily.

However, Lord Charlotte didn’t eat much, merely tasting.

Sebastian did similarly.

After everyone finished their meal, Lord Charlotte told the two maids and the knight,

"You guys go out and take a walk first. Next... Sebastian and I have a guest to meet."

Rena and Rand were not yet truly part of Lord Charlotte’s inner circle, and Sherry... hadn’t yet decided to become Lord Charlotte’s favored, so naturally, there was still a gap.

Upon receiving the order, they respectfully excused themselves, and Lord Charlotte had the inn serve new dishes.

Nisi remained as well, though quirky, being Lord Charlotte’s Contracted Servant, he too was considered part of the inner circle.

The two people and a cat waited like this until about fifteen minutes later, the room door was knocked.

Sensing the identity of the newcomer with her sharp senses, Lord Charlotte was slightly moved.

She smiled faintly and said,

"Please come in."

The next moment, the door was pushed open, and a tall and robust figure walked in, weary from travel.

It was Bold’s True God-worshipping leader of the Werewolf Tribe, Lord Luf.

Two months prior, the Werewolf Tribe had received an "Oracle" from the True God to head north to Castel, and at the same time, Lord Charlotte, as the owner of the Rose Association, had tasked Lord Luf with investigating the silver mine.

By now, he must have had some results.

Different from his appearance in Bold, he now sported rough miner’s attire, looking quite bold and vicissitous.

"Lord Charlotte, Lord Sebastian, I apologize... I was a bit late because I was held up at the bar."

He smiled naively, embarrassed.

Lord Charlotte was somewhat surprised:

"The bar wouldn’t let you in?"

"Uh... initially, those elves mistook me for a sub-human slave from the mining area."

Lord Luf helplessly scratched his head.

Lord Charlotte’s expression became peculiar.

She couldn’t help but glance at Sebastian:

"Does the Elf Clan also discriminate?"

Sebastian spread his hands:

"No, many elves who uphold arrogance as tradition discriminate against almost anyone other than their own clan or those who possess beauty comparable to the elves."

Lord Charlotte: ...

She glanced at Lord Luf’s face, marked with deep scars, covered in thick hair, looking anything but gentle, and silently diverted her gaze.

After a light cough, she said:

"Lord Luf, thank you for your efforts. I wanted to ask about the investigation into the Castel silver mine, how is it going?"

Lord Luf became solemn:

"Lord Charlotte, there is a problem with the Castel silver mine!"
