Chapter 683: Speed 627 Three
Chapter 683: Speed 627 Three
Tumeng Federation.
"Aaaaahhh!!"
Underneath a hydraulic press, a giant cylindrical mass ferociously descended, attempting to flatten a grey, anthropomorphic squirrel standing below into a mash of flesh.
But the terrifying support force below was just as crazily resisting the pressure.
Li Chengyi’s muscles swelled like granite, each vein under his fur standing out in stark, dark blue relief.
"How many tons are we up to now?" Giant Strength, watching from the side, asked woodenly.
"...Over thirty tons..." The subordinate manager wearing a safety helmet trembled as well.
He’d seen freaks, but never a freak like this.
Others worked out in a gym; this guy trained with a hydraulic press...
"With such talent, such a physique..." Canglu could no longer find words to describe Li Chengyi.
All he could do was watch as the other man grew at a terrifying speed each day, now far surpassing him to a degree that not even a Grandmaster could match.
Before long, under the hydraulic press, the grey figure suddenly dodged out of the way, moved to the side, and stretched his arms and limbs.
Li Chengyi temporarily ended this training session.
The muscles on his body quickly subsided from their engorged state.
"Not a bad progress," he tapped his chest muscle, which didn’t give a muffled thud but instead a metallic clang.
"Next up, we’ve been notified, in thirteen days there will be a world fighting championship in the Kingdom of Gus," Canglu approached only now.
"What are your plans?" he asked gravely.
"What, you got something?" Li Chengyi perceived the hint in the question, but figured helping out for a little favor wasn’t a big deal, considering what he had already received from the other party.
"The Martial Art schools that openly defied Tai Suqing in Juenorth Province are now being hunted down..." Canglu said in a low voice.
"What, you want to save them or capture them?" Li Chengyi laughed.
"If possible, I hope to save them. It could also prepare you for what’s to come," answered Canglu. "Also, Xiang Hesong’s daughter, Xiang Hanying, wishes to see you."
"What for?" Li Chengyi was noncommittal.
"A few years back, I and some old friends formed an alliance to counter Tai Suqing Group, but we lacked a top-notch expert to take the reins. We were considering asking Li Zhao of the Rong Hui sector to be the Alliance Hierarch, but now I believe you are the better choice!" Canglu declared emphatically.
He spoke his mind without reservation.
In his long life, apart from those infected by the Celestial Virus from Tai Suqing, he had never seen anyone as freakish as Li Chengyi.
Therefore, even if he couldn’t get Li to join them, he would do his utmost to fulfill any request in hopes of preventing him from joining the opposite camp.
"Alliance Hierarch?" Li Chengyi raised an eyebrow. He had no interest in taking up any position. "Just call on me to deal with worthy opponents. As for the rest, don’t bother me with trivial issues."
"Of course, with me around, you sure won’t be troubled with menial tasks," Canglu nodded.
"Fine then, I’ll become this Alliance Hierarch," Li Chengyi agreed.
Canglu’s face lit up with joy at his response. "In that case, I’ll immediately notify the other old friends. The six of us could only covertly support the resistance before, but with your backing, we can come into the open and raise the banner!"
"I don’t care, you handle it," said Li Chengyi indifferently.
After a brief rest, he continued towards the hydraulic press.
A new round of colossal strength confrontation began afresh.
Hours later, a brand-new Imprint finally appeared in the center of his chest.
Standing under the hydraulic press, as the Life Vitality Imprint emerged, Li Chengyi’s entire body suddenly trembled.
His already terrifyingly durable body quality advanced further, skyrocketing to several times what it had been before.
Simultaneously, his body temperature began to rise rapidly.
His heartbeat pounded like war drums, vibrating the nearby ground and dust, and with each breath, he could naturally create strong currents of air.
’Finally... regained some of the original body’s strength...’ he thought.
At that moment, his physical condition had returned to some of the unamplified strength he had before.
With a casual strike, he could produce a horrific force of sixty to seventy tons. Although his speed was not on par with before, by using brute force explosion to produce straight-line speed, it was not far off.
Having confirmed the success of the Life Vitality Imprint, Li Chengyi felt a touch of relief and turned to walk towards Canglu.
Next, he needed to start preparing materials for the second Life Vitality Imprint.
Due to the uniqueness of the taboo knowledge, he didn’t fear someone else using the same materials.
With the first Life Vitality Imprint complete, the next step was to keep repeating and accumulating similar Imprints.
Until ninety-nine were reached, then they would be fused.
With a divine artifact like the hydraulic press at his disposal, Li Chengyi was full of confidence in his subsequent training.

The scheduled time arrived, and in the blink of an eye, more than ten days had passed.
Planes heading to the Kingdom of Gus became increasingly numerous.
Among them, only a tiny fraction were competitors, with many more coming as spectators from around the world.
A massive influx of people converged on the capital city of Red Leaf City.
Li Chengyi was also on his way to Red Leaf City aboard the passenger plane.
Accompanying Li Chengyi were Xiang Hanying and Kui, with Canglu representing the region and inviting other members of the Alliance as well.
Li Chengyi didn’t care about Xiang Hanying kneeling before him, crying and pleading.
What he cared about was where his opponent was and whether they could provide him with a good fight.
For such desire, the stronger Tai Suqing Group was, the better.
Therefore, arriving at Red Leaf City, he had very high expectations.
And before the Tumeng Federation’s plane had arrived, planes from the other countries had already landed early.
Martial Artists ranked in the global combat top twenty, one after another, showed up at Red Leaf International Airport.
In all these organizations, the Martial Art Alliance formed by Canglu and the other five Grandmasters and another international underworld force called Imprint Valley were at the forefront of the fight against the Ta Suqing Group.
Imprint Valley, originating from the Montuslia Kingdom, was a mysterious force and before the emergence of the Martial Art Alliance, were the only combat group not publicly subdued by the Ta Suqing Group.
The reason was that they were not a formidable organization on the surface but more like a covert assassination group.
This nature of their organization made it impossible for the Ta Suqing Group to find their core home base.
But this time, to stop the Ta Suqing’s overt conspiracy, Imprint Valley also deployed all its dispersed forces to prevent the spread of the virus worldwide.
Inside the airport.
Under the vast dome, as dark as the night sky, a group of passengers had just disembarked, pulling their luggage and wearing sunglasses, about to leave through the exit.
However, at the exit stood a towering figure over two and a half meters tall, blocking the way head-on.
Fang Hongyu and a group of Imprint Valley’s experts dismounted from different planes and were just now converging, ready to leave the airport.
As the team leader, Fang Hongyu’s expression suddenly changed when he saw the person blocking the way.
Normally, the arrival time for Imprint Valley’s team was kept strictly confidential.
Yet the moment they disembarked from the plane, they were already blocked by the Ta Suqing.
Thump!
The huge figure blocking the door, with a face full of thickset muscles, shoved away two contestants arguing with him and caught a silver crescent blade coming at him from the side with his bare hands.
"A bunch of weaklings, thinking of joining the World Finals with this level of skill? Ridiculous!" The man sported a small mustache and a large black cross tattoo on his bald head.
Thump.
He casually snapped the crescent blade in two, then slightly turned his head, about to continue speaking.
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out.
He staggered backward two steps as his chest convulsed, and a burnt crater the size of a fist appeared on his chest.
It was a sniper rifle!
All the contestants in the airport who witnessed this scene became tense.
As Martial Artists, many could easily dodge ordinary bullets, but sniper rifle bullets were far deadlier and faster than the norm. The fact that this strong man could withstand a sniper bullet with his body was almost beyond comprehension.
"This man... is Mosnang, the only Grandmaster Martial Artist from the small southern country of Rosennia. I didn’t expect... that he’s now been taken over by the Ta Suqing Group..."
Fang Hongyu looked grim and spoke in a low voice.
Their confidence in coming here to stop everything was fundamentally based on possessing another special microbial sample that could counteract the Celestial Virus.
This sample was known as the Staring Virus.
Although also a virus, Staring’s harmfulness was far less than that of Celestial.
Initially, the reason why Ta Suqing did not trouble Imprint Valley was the fear of being infected by this Staring Virus, which would lead to a significant reduction in strength.
"Hongyu, what do we do now?" a girl in red behind Fang Hongyu asked in a low voice.
She was Yan Qiurong, the Valley Master’s daughter of Imprint Valley, who was engaged to Fang Hongyu.
Both were true prodigies of the martial combat world; at just thirty years of age, they had reached the pinnacle of Martial Artists, just one step away from Grandmaster.
However, that one step was a world of difference.
Boom!
At the exit, two more resisting contestants were smashed to the ground by Mosnang with a slap, looking up at him with anger and pain.
"I’ll give it a try!" After briefly observing the fight, Fang Hongyu knew that among those with him, only he and his fiancée might stand a chance against the adversary.
He began walking towards him, step by step.
As one of the strongest organizations in the world of combat, many could recognize the insignia of Imprint Valley without any obstruction.
Seeing him step forward, the crowd instinctively gathered around.
More than thirty blocked contestants and over a hundred onlookers were gathered, but no one wanted to be the first to move.
Mosnang was clearly able to distinguish who was a commoner and who was a martial practitioner.
Everyone glared at him with anger in their eyes.
"Imprint Valley? Heh... You bunch of worms from the shadows dare to confront me openly?" Mosnang laughed, his muscular body clad in grey-black leather armor, trembling slightly with the vibrations of his voice.
"Since the Ta Suqing Group has widely invited Martial Artists from all over the world to participate, why are they now blocking the airport exit? What’s the meaning of this?" Fang Hongyu asked coldly.
He had a balanced physique, with sword-like eyebrows and a starry gaze, his long hair tied back in a ponytail, his blue and white Martial Arts uniform outlining his well-defined muscles. His vitality stood out from the rest at a glance.
As the official representatives of Imprint Valley, their main role was to distract the Ta Suqing Group’s attention and shield their team working in the shadows—carriers of the Staring Virus.
But now the situation had just begun, and if they couldn’t even leave the airport, how could they divert the attention of the Ta Suqing Group?
"If you’re dissatisfied, you can all join forces against me. I don’t mind," Mosnang said with a smile.
