Chapter 567: End of 522 Two

Inside the Primordial Spirit Sword Palace.

Black and red fiercely contested for control over the body’s power.

"Huo Qingkong, don’t forget your master’s entrustment to you! Don’t let the evil thoughts in your heart consume you! You can do it!"

The Demon Emperor couldn’t bother to hide his concern anymore, knowing that Huo Qingkong’s consciousness was nearly in chaos, he urgently shouted a reminder.

"An unknown evil is approaching from the outside, and if you let malice devour you, the whole world will perish! Only you can save everything! Wake up quickly!" The Demon Emperor yelled, continuously using secret techniques to stimulate the memories in the black Primordial Spirit’s heart.

The Faceless Scholar was a destroyer and a recommencer, with no memory, but Huo Qingkong had memories.

As long as he could maintain his memory and stabilize his human essence, it would weaken his overall strength, and everything wouldn’t be too far off even if it was a bit lacking.

But if he were to lose his memory...

Fortunately, the black Primordial Spirit gradually began to exert strength, gaining the upper hand and suppressing the dark red.

The mere leakage of their power caused the surrounding Primordial Spirit Sword Palace to rumble with each burst of energy.

The entire palace seemed about to collapse, with stones falling and cracks appearing on the walls.

But quickly, Huo Qingkong suppressed the red evil thoughts.

’Good, if he succeeds in controlling himself, we might not have to take action, and perhaps from now on, we can completely stabilize the Faceless Scholar by sealing him inside Huo Qingkong!’ The Demon Emperor thought with a glimmer of hope.

As he communicated, the tense expression on the face of the Holy Spirit Taoist on the outside slowly relaxed.

If it really could be so, they might not have to lay a hand on Huo Qingkong.

Crack!

Suddenly, a soft but inexplicable sound entered the Demon Emperor’s ears.

He stared intently at Huo Qingkong’s life-bound Primordial Spirit, suddenly stunned.

’What sound?’

The Primordial Spirits were still battling with no change.

But...

Crack.

That sound appeared again.

The Demon Emperor slightly raised his head, this time he located the source.

It’s the top of the Primordial Spirit Sword Palace!

Directly above!

A huge crack was rapidly expanding, and beyond the crack, there was innumerable dark red, thick, sticky liquid.

In that liquid echoed countless voices of pain, despair, and hatred.

’Die die die die!!!’

’You killed my parents! You slaughtered my entire family; I curse you! I curse you never to find peace in death!!’

’Everyone is dead! They’re all dead! Hahaha!!’

’One day... one day I will find you! Torture you! Tear you to pieces!!!’

Legions of hatred, multitudes of noise crazily surged in from the crack.

That was the malice from the Faceless Scholar’s past massacres and world annihilation.

They had not disappeared; they were still bound to the Faceless Scholar, only taking advantage of the opening to break into the Primordial Spirit Sword Palace.

’No!!’ The Demon Emperor watched, eyes wide in horror, as Huo Qingkong, who had been gaining the upper hand, was completely engulfed by the massive dark red malice descending from the sky.

He was about to succeed...

’Take action!!’ Suddenly, the Demon Emperor roared out his command.

Boom!!!

The entire Primordial Spirit Sword Palace shattered instantly, as a blinding bright green light cascaded from the outside world, like a massive waterfall, viciously striking the position where Huo Qingkong was.

’Thousand Faces Aerial Array! Arise!’

The voice of the Holy Spirit Taoist sounded like thunder, booming through the air.

If one looked closely at the waterfall-like green light, they would realize it wasn’t light but countless green Swords of Wisdom merging together, all launching the Instant Prison attack towards where Huo Qingkong was.

At that moment outside.

Around the Faceless Sword Sect, three figures appeared out of nowhere, each positioned at three points of a triangle, enveloping the entire sect’s territory.

As if forming a triangle, the three individuals enclosed the entire Sword Sect grounds within their embrace.

The three looked at each other, exchanged glances, and nodded slightly.

"We lend our strength to the Holy Spirit Taoist!"

The speaker was none other than the Qingmu Sword Sect Leader, holding a blue longsword, his eyes flickering with blue light.

On another side was the Suyue Sect’s Qingyang Taoist.

The third was not the Yuheng Sect Master but a tall woman with a gold mask and jet-black hawk wings on her back.

It was the leader of An Xiang.

All three extended their hands, pressing down with their palms, as torrents of invisible Consciousness Power belonging to True Fire Powerhouses poured down like raindrops, falling above the territory and merging into the array, adding their might.

The Holy Spirit Taoist looked up at the sky, his gaze neither sad nor joyful, pulling the array to absorb the power, melding it in, and continuing to press toward Huo Qingkong.

But...

A massive tremor began shaking the entire grounds.

The disciples who were still inside the gate had been secretly stripped of half of their Consciousness Power without realizing it.

But the array’s glow and the current vibrations were making the remaining hundred or so disciples anxious.

The disciples frantically sought the stewards to inquire about the situation, while the stewards sent people to the Faceless Great Hall to try to consult the elders.

But all the elders were nowhere to be found... such a turn of events immediately made everyone even more panicked.

"This isn’t good!!" As the shaking grew more intense, the Holy Spirit Taoist and the six great elders looked increasingly grim.

"Sect Leader, what are we actually suppressing? Why can’t the combined power of so many people..."

Yun Ling, the elder, couldn’t help but speak out.

"Is there really something in this world that even our combined strength cannot suppress?! This is simply..."

Kui Ling was also a bit panicky, Yu Chen and Tie Zhu were still at the pavilion, and if something went wrong, they wouldn’t even be able to escape.

She focused intently on the Holy Spirit Taoist and saw that although he was shocked, there was not a trace of panic on his face, as if he had anticipated this moment.

"Elder brother! Please reveal the truth! What else do you have to hide at this point?"
