Blind Spot -
Chapter 500 - 457 Hope 3
Chapter 500: 457 Hope 3
Inside the meteorite’s interior.
A pitch-black cave, a damp ground, filthy water droplets floating in the air.
In this low-gravity environment, the air is thin, and the majority of microbes struggle to survive; only a few anaerobic bacteria cling to the surrounding walls, emitting a faint green glow.
The sprinkling of green lights in this pitch-dark underworld resembles an alien starry sky.
Hum!
In an instant, two shadowy figures flashed past through the cave.
One was cloaked in black and purple, with purple glowing wings on its back.
The other wrapped in a dark red veil of flames, its snow-white body reflecting fiery halos.
Sizzling.
Suddenly, both stopped at the same time, hovering in mid-air.
"Come out!"
The figure with purple wings spoke in a deep voice, looking straight ahead.
No one responded.
But...
Shh!
Without warning, a black shadow burst forth, charging towards him with a fierce roar.
The shadow moved incredibly fast. In this low-gravity environment with little air resistance, the explosive force translated into speed much more efficiently.
It was nearly instantaneous.
The distance of dozens of meters vanished in a blink of an eye as a black claw reached out towards the four-winged figure.
’A Dragon Descendant!? Indeed, it’s here!!’
With a swift dodge, the figure avoided the claw, reached out to grab the other’s arm, and slammed it towards the ground.
Boom!
The entire maneuver was fluid. After bringing the opponent down, a blade with a flickering purple and black tip sprung from his elbow, stabbing downwards.
Spurt, blood sprayed, shielded by a protective field, slowly sliding down.
"Crimson Lotus." On the other side, the hovering fire-red figure raised its hand, opening a cannon in its palm, which then blasted out a scorching flame.
The flame seemed to be of an unusual nature, clinging to the cave floor and burning incessantly.
However, from the shadows, one Dragon Descendant after another charged out with furious roars, all bearing crocodile-like heads and immense strength.
The initial Dragon Descendants had brownish skin and didn’t seem too fast, quickly burned to death by the two figures.
But as more surged out, their scales grew thicker and their color deeper.
Their speed also increased, and their heat resistance grew stronger.
"Don’t get entangled with them; rush in directly!" the fiery mechanoid commanded sharply.
"Alright!"
The two mechs suddenly lit up with white light.
"Overclocking Form activated." The four-winged figure transformed again, its light wings suddenly elongating to over three meters before giving a gentle flap.
Whoosh!
In an instant, it broke ten times the speed of sound, rushing deeper into the cave.
But having only rushed in a short distance,
Suddenly a dash of colorful light flashed towards it, hitting the side of the four-winged figure.
Clang!
Both the mechanoid and the colorful light retreated, returning to their original positions.
"Who!?"
The four-winged figure roared with surprise and anger.
"That Flying Yi..." The red figure behind, which had slain a large number of Dragon Descendants, hurried over and saw the colorful light Flying Yi that had been bounced back.
"It’s Jiu Yi... That’s Ding Meng’s exclusive Flying Yi: Dream Gather Blade..."
"Kong He... long time no see. I didn’t expect you to come here." A slender figure, surrounded by a faint colorful aura, slowly emerged from the shadows.
It was indeed Ding Meng from Jiu Yi who had gone missing and been captured.
"You... you were captured and brought here?" The fiery figure spoke in disbelief.
"Does Star Lake now have the confidence to confront the Three-Shadow Dragon? To the extent of tracking all the way here." Ding Meng’s half-dragon-scaled face slightly writhed, as though a mass of dark insects were crawling over it.
"...is this the main nest of the Three-Shadow Dragon?" Kong He’s face inside the mech froze suddenly.
They had come thinking the Three-Shadow Dragon was preoccupied with the military forces of Yi Country, so they took the chance to rescue people and destroy this stronghold. They never expected... to encounter Ding Meng here!
"You, as a member of Jiu Yi... how could you...!?" Kong He found it unbelievable—Jiu Yi was considered the pinnacle of all Feiyi Masters!
To be captured and controlled by the Shadow Eater? This must be a joke, right?
"Star Lake’s great scourge, and a former top ten minister of Utopia? Indeed, it’s a considerable force, but... this is not where you belong." Ding Meng said placidly.
A colorful light blade slowly materialized beside her.
"Please leave quickly, while I can still control myself." Although she was controlled, her powerful consciousness allowed her a small degree of autonomy.
So even when faced with the two formidable organizations of Utopia and Star Lake, she did not wish to exacerbate the evil.
"Even if you’re from Jiu Yi, without the wireless energy support from Earth-Moon, you won’t be able to fully deploy your protective field and Flying Yi, not to mention the control over your mind, reducing your strength to less than a tenth. Do you think you could overcome the two of us together?"
Minister Chen of Utopia, however, was not intimidated and quickly came to a realization.
Jiu Yi was indeed very strong, but that was built upon the substantial industrial system of Yi Country. Without the massive support of energy plants, Ding Meng’s capabilities would definitely be significantly reduced—at best, she was a top Grade Eight level.
Add to that her weakened combat consciousness, and her power would be halved once more.
"It’s no use..." A sigh flickered across Ding Meng’s eyes.
Whoosh!
In the blink of an eye, dozens of colorful light blades, all with little white eye-shaped patterns on their blades, appeared behind her.
"Illusionary Dream Rain Type Five."
Hiss, hiss, hiss!!!
In an instant, all the flying knives erupted, shooting out at an average speed ten times the speed of sound, blanketing the sky as they targeted the two individuals.
Within that moment, she unleashed a group attack equivalent to the combined force of dozens of top Grade Eight Conductors.
Seeing this scene, Kong He and Minister Chen’s expressions changed dramatically as they tried to dodge, but with the tight space around them, there was simply no room to escape.
Boom, boom, boom!!!!
The continual bombardment reverberated.

Li Chengyi walked slowly through the underground caves.
All around him were metal scraps sticking out haphazardly, with the ground covered in black oily liquid, and the air filled with tiny particles of dirty water.
The water droplets, like grains of sand, were blown chaotically in all directions by the intermittent blasts and air currents within the cave.
The tremors from the battle ahead did not disturb Li Chengyi’s pace as he did not speed up and continued to walk forward steadily.
As if he were out for a stroll.
Countless water droplets and dust particles that were about to hit him naturally parted and swept by his sides.
This was the work of Blood Essence.
"Come out."
Suddenly, he stopped, tilting his head slightly as he looked behind him.
"You’ve followed me all this way; you don’t think I was actually unaware of you, do you?"
The cave behind him was quiet as though there really was no one following him.
But Li Chengyi was patient, still waiting, standing still and silent.
A full ten seconds.
Only then did a figure slowly emerge from the darkness behind.
A tall humanoid figure, draped in a white robe, wearing a white mask, and with every strand of hair wrapped tightly around its head.
"Who are you?" Li Chengyi squinted his eyes, scrutinizing the figure thoroughly.
This person gave him a very strange feeling.
The aura was elusive, constantly and intensely shifting.
Both the Consciousness Power and the physical essence were rapidly changing.
"You may call me... the Blank One," the figure replied softly, using the standard dialogue of Yi Country.
"The Blank One? Heh, playing tricks in front of me?" A sliver of chill flashed through Li Chengyi’s eyes.
"What is the purpose of the Garden of Fate coming here? Can you be straightforward?" the figure asked earnestly.
"Do I need to verify whether you are worthy to speak to me?" Li Chengyi’s right hand hung at his side, with strands of white Blood Essence entwining his forearm, flickering and dancing like flames, burning.
"We’ve always been maintaining the balance of this realm, preventing the Great Cycle from starting. If you don’t want everything to reset, then please help us maintain everything as it is," explained the figure.
"The Great Cycle? What do you mean? Explain clearly." Li Chengyi was about to make a move, but stopped momentarily when he heard this term.
He could sense that the figure genuinely harbored no ill intent toward him.
Whether it was the Seven Spirit Holy Technique or the ability to absorb Evil Thoughts, both detected the figure’s tranquility.
"Forbidden knowledge prevents me from conveying it directly to you; it’s a secret that can only be inherited after the predecessor dies," the figure answered softly, "All I can tell you is... to avoid the Great Devastation and to maintain the current balance of everything is our sole purpose. Actually, even if we had not met here, it wouldn’t be long before... we would still meet..."
"Forbidden knowledge... You know that too?" A chill ran down Li Chengyi’s spine.
"The existence of the Garden of Fate has disturbed the balance, and the anomalies in the Blind Spot are becoming more and more unusual..." the figure paused, his eyes seemingly piercing through the mask to observe Li Chengyi.
"How much longer can you protect them?"
"Who exactly are you!?" Li Chengyi’s tone changed.
Someone who knew the deep secrets of the changes in the Blind Spot and was privy to forbidden knowledge, exuding such a complicated aura.
"Don’t worry about who I am. Many people are destined to die, but you changed that single destiny. Reduction here implies increase elsewhere; the world has always been a massive jigsaw puzzle. The storm of imbalance is growing stronger..." The figure spoke calmly, yet with an inexplicable sadness.

Deep within the garbage meteorites.
The Three-Shadow Dragons stood in separate positions, silently watching the Dragon Scale Throne in the center.
Numerous dragon horns grew around and from underneath the throne like weeds. Faint dark red halos emanated from the series of symbols on the backrest of the seat.
"Just twenty minutes left... It’s coming soon... Have they still not dealt with things outside?" Saul withdrew his gaze and frowned.
"Ding Meng is reasonably powerful, but without backup energy support, she can only utilize a mere third of her capacity. The strength of the Dragon Descendants is also insufficient, barely adequate as guardians. The rest are of no use," Ying replied.
"Those two are nothing to worry about; as long as we hold them off at Jiu Yi, time is on our side," Farn maintained the faint strands of shadows emanating from his body, manipulating them to fly into the throne.
Pff, pff!
Suddenly, several guardian Dragon Descendants screamed in anguish and collapsed to the ground.
"Who’s there!?"
The pale golden vertical pupils of the Three-headed Shadow Dragon simultaneously turned toward that direction.
The cold intent to kill, like a raging storm, swept toward that area.
Drip.
Drip.
Amidst two clear footsteps, a female figure in a white robe slowly emerged from the darkness, stopping before the Dragon King Ceremony Throne.
"Sorry..." the figure said softly, "Although it’s a bit presumptuous, may I ask you to give up the ceremony you’re conducting?"
"What nonsense is this!? Coming here to seek death!?" Saul, the most hot-tempered, was the first to leave his position and move toward the newcomer.
"Dare to kill my Dragon Descendants, I’ll teach you what cruelty means!!"
His hands turned into dragon claws, and his body was shrouded in black mist as his nostrils expelled two streams of searing heat.
With only a moment left, he would not allow anyone to interrupt or interfere with their ascension ceremony.
"Give up, you have no chance of winning..." said the figure in the white robe calmly, "We are the ones who balance everything. Here, the world is always on our side."
