Blind Spot
Chapter 415 - 380 Material Second

Chapter 415: 380 Material Second

No one knew where the Blind Spot originated or why it developed.

But everyone knew there were countless types of Blind Spots: some are concealed, some are weak, some are powerful, and some are terrifyingly irrational.

So even the Shadow Dragon Clan didn’t dare to recklessly enter a completely unknown Blind Spot.

Besides, this Blind Spot’s level of concealment far exceeded their imaginations.

"We are not Blind Spot Sensitive Physiques, I’m afraid it will be difficult to sense and find that person in a short time," Faren said in a deep voice.

"This is a high-incidence area for Blind Spots, there must be individuals with an extremely strong sense of Blind Spot; we need to find Emperor Yi!" Saul said with an icy tone.

Once his essence was lost in a Blind Spot, it might be completely irrecoverable.

For him, that would be a huge loss.

Especially since that man had fused with the largest portion of his lost essence.

"We must find someone to help us, quickly!" Ying said gravely.

Fengnan Province·Capital Nanzhou.

Nighttime.

A grand Horror Magic performance drew to a close.

Crowds of audience members left the venue with cold sweats, each person gripping their fists tightly.

After the intense emotions came a deep exhaustion.

Backstage of the mobile tent used for the performance.

Li Chengyi gently wiped off the blood plasma from his face with makeup remover wipes.

The accumulation of Evil Thoughts had been satisfactorily completed.

All the conditions for one evolution of the Ziwei Flower had been met, and the Mark of the Evil Flower was glowing with a faint purple light, signaling an imminent evolution.

Determined to enhance both the Flower Language Technique: Power of Speech and Good Fortune to their ultimate levels as soon as possible, Li Chengyi focused on the two divine abilities.

The combination of these two was tremendously useful both in actual combat and when exploring Blind Spots.

Dudu... Suddenly, his phone buzzed. Li Chengyi glanced at the caller ID--it was Rainbow Candy.

"Xing Tong, come help me with makeup removal," he instructed Zhou Xingtong standing by.

She took the makeup removal products and began to work.

Meanwhile, Li Chengyi picked up his phone and opened the team channel.

"Andu sent a message, saying that Shadow Eater wants to make a trade with us; they need our help to find a Blind Spot Individual to prevent him from dying in a Blind Spot." — Rainbow Candy.

"If Shadow Eater wants to cooperate themselves, let them come to Fengnan Province," Li Chengyi responded.

"If they come here... is it safe?" — Da Xiong.

After all, several people in their team were not as strong as those from Shadow Eater’s side.

"No problem. It’s a good opportunity for everyone to get to know them and prepare for the future," Li Chengyi said.

The chance to communicate with creatures from the Black Sea, despite being a Three-headed Shadow Dragon, was rare. After all, stances are subject to change.

They were asking for help, which presented an excellent opportunity for trade.

He still needed quite a few odds and ends to create Imprint Orbs.

"But if they act recklessly, start killing indiscriminately... what then?" — Dragon Gate Crane worried.

"They definitely won’t dare to come in their true forms, so they will certainly send a sub-entity, like last time. Such sub-entities are extremely limited in power, and if we can’t even handle a sub-entity..." Li Chengyi left his sentence unfinished, but everyone understood what he meant.

If they were that weak, then they might as well die.

"I understand... I will make proper arrangements to give them an unforgettable journey..." — Da Xiong.

After ending the communication, Li Chengyi turned off his phone.

He sat still, silently allowing Zhou Xingtong to take care of his makeup.

"By the way, are you afraid, Xing Tong?" he suddenly asked softly.

Zhou Xingtong paused in her actions, then continued wiping.

"Boss, what do you mean?"

"Following a boss like me, encountering such a world, everywhere is danger, conflict, assassination. You must now know a lot about the company’s affairs, right?" Li Chengyi spoke softly.

"Sometimes, I get a little scared," Zhou Xingtong said. "But now I’m used to it."

She looked at the silent Li Chengyi and continued.

"Speaking of which, your reputation has spread out there. But at my last class reunion, everyone thought you weren’t the same Li Chengyi. They thought it was just a coincidence of names. I found it amusing listening in," Zhou Xingtong said with a smile.

"You guys still hold class reunions... isn’t it boring going alone?" Li Chengyi chuckled.

"It’s alright, mainly because Chenpi Sister keeps dragging me along," Zhou Xingtong paused, "Now that my family’s circumstances have improved, I have enough money, I don’t lack anything. People’s attitudes towards me have also changed from before..."

She put down one makeup remover pad and picked up a fresh one.

"Sometimes I think, people truly are pragmatic."

"People have both a realistic and an idealistic side," Li Chengyi said.

"Chenpi is Chen Yijun, her father even asked about your situation, boss. I didn’t dare say much, just mentioned that you are doing well and that the company you founded isn’t too bad."

"Plant Science Mentor Chen Bin..." Li Chengyi also recalled his first plant science mentor, the kind old man who had helped him find a job.

Listening to Zhou Xingtong’s ongoing chatter about ordinary everyday life, Li Chengyi’s originally anxious heart gradually calmed down.

The thick, cold sensation brought about by death also faded away as he reached a state of tranquility.

Even though such an ordinary life was now far too distant from him, it was... a life he once yearned for.

Soon, after removing her makeup, Zhou Xingtong also stopped talking.

"Boss, I’ll get the car ready," she said.

"Mhm," Li Chengyi stood up, his fingertips gently touching the Mark of the Evil Flower.

Instantly, information about the evolution of the Ziwei Flower flooded his mind.

’Ziwei Flower: Second evolution 0%, Evil Thoughts 0%. Number of possible evolutions: 4.’

’Flower Language Technique: Power of Speech (enhanced to a distance of thirty meters, consciousness power consumption halved).’

’Flower Language Technique: Good Fortune (after evolution, a clear recovery cycle of one week, passively use the effect of good fortune once per week). ’

Not bad, the enhancements to both Flower Language Techniques were very practical. The Power of Speech consumed too much consciousness power; against an extremely strong opponent like the Silent Angel, he would run out of consciousness power in an instant and still not gain control.

Now, with the consumption halved, his stamina had greatly increased.

And Good Fortune, he previously had no idea how it recovered. Now, after evolution, he knew it was on a weekly cycle.

Things like the Floral Dress, he didn’t care about, as nothing could be stronger than the Gladiolus Ultimate Form unless it evolved to its Ultimate Form.

He must make the most of his current sufficient strength and quickly prepare for the next Imprint.

’With one evolution complete, the next step is the new Flower Language Technique. There’s still much to do...’

He quickly took out his phone and contacted Boss Xindela.

"We’ve found some of the materials we need on our own, and I’ve also contacted the national treasury officials. They’ve opened up quite a few military resources for exchange and purchase. Now we’ve found pretty much everything we need. Only three items remain, which don’t even have records in Earth-Moon," replied Xindela.

"Which three items?"

"The heart of a mature Illusionary Dragon, Myst Crocodile Breath, and Rotten Realm Tree Heart."

Li Chengyi had guessed it would be these; their mere names indicated they didn’t exist in reality.

"Understood. I’ll handle it. Please send the rest of the materials to the base," he said.

"Okay. They should arrive by tomorrow afternoon at the latest."

After putting down the phone,

Li Chengyi found himself somewhat looking forward to the Shadow Eater Dragon’s visit.

Early the next morning,

Outside Suiyang, within a temporarily constructed mountain estate,

Li Chengyi met for the second time with one of the three Shadow Dragons who had come to negotiate — Farn.

On the lush green lawn, Li Chengyi watched silently as Farn leaped down from mid-air, landing on the grass only to break into countless shadows.

The shadows then merged back together, restoring the humanoid appearance of Shadow Dragon Farn.

"Courageous," Li Chengyi applauded with a smile. "You even dare to come alone, knowing full well you might face danger. Compared to that hot-tempered waste of space, Saul, you seem much stronger."

"There are no eternal enemies in this world. Since you have agreed to a meeting to discuss a trade, you clearly need something we can offer," Farn replied, much more composed and mature than Saul.

"So, tell me, what are your terms for the transaction?" Li Chengyi asked.

"We want you to rescue someone from the Blind Spot, a man named Barton," Farn said.

"Rescue someone from the Blind Spot... Do you know what the Blind Spot is?" Li Chengyi raised an eyebrow.

"No, but all three of us cannot track him. Obviously, it’s highly secretive," Farn answered.

"I can agree to the terms, but you must trade these to me first," Li Chengyi handed over a list.

Farn took the list, and his expression changed slightly.

"The rest are manageable, but we don’t have the Heart of Illusionary Colored Dragon; that belongs to a dragon clan even more powerful than ours, a venerable and long-lost ancient dragon clan. It’s unlikely that any individual from the Black Sea would have such an item," Farn said.

"Then, what sort of individuals might possess it?" Li Chengyi inquired.

"It might exist within some Blind Spot relics. You’ll need to do a targeted search. The Illusory Color Dragons used to frequent a place called Midlane," Farn replied.

"Where is Midlane?"

"First, you have to open the non-gates and enter the Black Sea. Midlane is a rather famous super large Blind Spot within the Black Sea. It was once a vast space similar to yours, but now it’s nearing desolation," Farn explained. "There, incomprehensible disasters occurred, completely collapsing the world and time, tangled into chaos."

"Are you also afraid to enter?" Li Chengyi frowned. "Aren’t Black Sea creatures immortal and therefore not afraid of this?"

"Immortality represents the undying nature of our flesh, not our consciousness. And once inside, whether you can find an exit is another matter, unless you want to seal yourself away for tens of thousands of years. No one dares to get close to that place," Farn replied.

He looked at Li Chengyi.

"Excuse my bluntness, but you haven’t even opened the non-gates, better not think about the rest just yet."

"So, how about this: replace the condition of the Heart of Illusory Colored Dragon with your help in opening the non-gates, how does that sound? Once it’s open, I’ll definitely help you with the rescue," Li Chengyi relaxed the condition.

"We need you to rescue first," Farn asserted.

"You must help open the non-gates first; otherwise, I’d rather not trade. After all, it’s not just you who can help me with the non-gates," Li Chengyi smiled.

Farn fell silent, looking at Li Chengyi, seemingly hesitating and contemplating.

But in reality, the Shadow Dragons had a unique way of contacting each other over long distances, so at that moment he was actually discussing the proposition with Saul and Ying.

After waiting a few minutes, Farn finally spoke again.

"It’s a deal. But of the other materials, we will only give you one," he said.

"No problem," Li Chengyi was primarily interested in having the non-gates opened. It was extremely difficult to achieve, and with the help of the Shadow Dragons, it would certainly reduce the challenge considerably.

After all, he had to access the Black Sea to complete the final step of the Imprint creation.

So opening the non-gates was a task that had to be undertaken sooner or later.

Open the non-gates, find the materials, complete the Imprint Orb, achieve the new Imprint — that was his plan.
