Blind Spot
Chapter 271 - 253 backhand 1

Chapter 271: 253 backhand 1

The cold wind blew, and the temperature at night was much colder than during the day.

Rainbow Candy and Dragon Gate Crane took shelter at the edge of a sand dune, carefully releasing the mechanical spiders and drones they had brought along.

The drones, painted black for nighttime operations, were almost like swallows in the night, undetectable so long as they remained silent.

"Sister Tang, if we keep staying here, could we run into trouble or danger? Should we find a place to hide in advance?" Dragon Gate Crane looked around at the environment, feeling danger everywhere.

The frequent and intense explosions from the distant battlefield caused him to shiver with each blast.

"What do you think, we’re just a Blind Spot Individual squad, how did we end up on the battlefield like this?"

"Are you afraid of dying?" Rainbow Candy suddenly asked.

"Not afraid... I mean... I am afraid!" Dragon Gate Crane wanted to say he wasn’t afraid but, thinking about his current situation, if he were to be caught...

"Then get ready. Someone is coming," Rainbow Candy said calmly.

"!?"

Dragon Gate Crane was startled, then followed Sister Tang’s gaze and indeed saw a squad of soldiers, wearing yellow and white robes and carrying guns, rushing toward them.

Mixed in with them were several Reinforced Humans with limbs converted into metallic machinery.

Most of these soldiers wore bulletproof gear covering the majority of their bodies, completely impenetrable to ordinary bullets.

This was the battlefield...

With insufficient weapon power, even killing a few small soldiers was impossible.

In fact, what you might think are weak soldiers are actually among the most elite killers to a common person.

They have greater physical strength than an average person, superior marksmanship, plus coordination with others, and cover from various grenades and cannons...

"I’ll make the first move, you keep hidden!" Rainbow Candy said calmly, slowly standing up.

Bang!

In an instant, she dashed out like a cheetah in the night.

A hundred meters was just a matter of seconds before she plunged into the crowd.

At the same time, the surrounding mechanical spiders and drones began their coordinated attack.

Ratatatatata!

Bullets sparked profusely as they ricocheted off the crowd.

Rainbow Candy in a single confrontation sliced off one person’s thigh with her knife, but before she could continue with the second person, she was surrounded by three others, who yelled as they coordinated their attack, trapping her in a bitter struggle.

The drones and mechanical spiders became the main force in attacking these people.

Dragon Gate Crane clenched his teeth and from a distance, he fired several rounds from his grenade launcher, followed by constant gunfire.

Both of them were covered by Fantasia Floral Armor, and they both had physical capabilities surpassing ordinary human limits, but what they lacked was battlefield experience. Facing about a dozen Sand Thieves soldiers, they had several close calls, getting shot multiple times.

If not for the sturdy Fantasia Floral Armor, they would have been headshot by now.

Gunfire and explosions continued to sound, also drawing the attention of more elite Sand Thieves in the distance.

Under electronic warfare interference, communication on both sides was unreliable, with signals coming on and off, relying on short messages to exchange information.

This also slowed the support speed of other Sand Thieves.

This gave Rainbow Candy and Dragon Gate Crane some much-needed breathing space.

Working together, they finally managed to kill most of the soldiers in the squad, but they themselves were also injured by two self-destruct bombs carried by the soldiers, damaging their Fantasia Floral Armor.

Rainbow Candy’s hand was shattered by a blast, and Dragon Gate Crane’s calf was gashed open, bleeding profusely.

"Send a signal to the boss right away, something’s gone wrong with my signal support!" Rainbow Candy quickly said.

"Okay!" Dragon Gate Crane supported her, limping over to the back of a sand dune, where they had previously assembled a sand hovercraft.

Rainbow Candy took out the control box for the mechanical spiders and drones and opened it to take a look.

The hundreds of mechanical spiders released were being blown up at a staggering rate by the enemy.

The level of the Sand Thieves’ elites far surpassed Sutan’s common forces.

Each one was extremely accurate with their guns, and their weapons had powerful penetration.

The drones, amidst the electronic interference, were falling to the ground one after another, becoming useless.

Worse yet, a high and large heat signature appeared distinctly on the box’s powerful radar, closing in on their position without interruption.

"Damn it! Now we’re in real trouble!" Rainbow Candy’s expression was grim.

Such intense heat radiation unaffected by electronic interference meant that, based on rank assessment, that engine cooling must be from at least a Grade Four elite!

"Did you send the signal?" she turned to look at Dragon Gate Crane.

"It’s sent! Don’t be scared, Sister Tang, I will protect you!" Dragon Gate Crane gritted his teeth, took out a grenade, and his eyes hardened.

"I’ve got thirteen T10s strapped to me! If you don’t want to die, stay away from me!" Rainbow Candy said impatiently.

"Don’t be scared, Sister Tang! I’ll distract the enemy for you!" Dragon Gate Crane bit down and stood up, charging off into the distance.

"You damn fool!! There are no enemies that way!!" Rainbow Candy saw the direction he was running—this guy was purely trying to escape! She was so angry that her hand shook, nearly raising her gun to shoot him.

She looked down at the radar, the map showing suppressed areas, with enemies in every direction except where Dragon Gate Crane was running.

"Forget it, it’s one less to worry about if he can escape." Rainbow Candy estimated the distance, looked up to the sky, and saw a large number of drones and warplanes roaring past.

In such an environment, surrounded by enemies on all sides, the chance of her escaping was slim.

"If I’m gonna die, I’ll drag down as many as I can!" Spitting out some saliva, she watched the rapidly approaching large heat signature with a ferocious look in her eyes.

A Grade Four Reinforced Human was simply not something she could contend with. Not to mention the many Sand Thieves around.
