"R-really?!" He asked, his eyes full of excitement and gratitude.

"Of course! What kind of demon would I be if I didn’t give you a chance to redeem yourself and reclaim your honor?"

Maybe it was because he was getting a second chance that Linflax didn’t notice a hand pierce his chest until after his heart was already torn from his body.

He looked down, seeing a slender arm with veins bulging from it inserted into his chest. Slowly, he looked back up, seeing an emotionless expression on Anastasia’s face.

"Make it up to us with your life." She said, pulling her arm away with Linflax’s still beating heat pumping in her hands.

"Bleghhhhhh!" He vomited blood, falling to his knees. He didn’t understand why she did this to him. Wasn’t he getting a second chance? He looked at the others for help, but they completely ignored him.

"You’re such a disappointment." Anastasia shook her head, cutting a small part of her finger and using her blood to make a hex that completely drained Linflax of all his demonic energy, sealing his heart in it as well.

He fell onto the ground, his body now a husk devoid of life.

"How many demons do we have in this kingdom?" She asked

Chuck pulled out his notes. "We have over 5,000 demonic humans, 1,000 low-rank demons, and with you all 4 mid-rank demons. It would have been five but, well..." He looked at the now-dead Linflax, and a shiver ran up his spine.

"Are these demonic humans strong?"

"Yes. Although about 4,500 of them are in the grandmaster stage and below, the other 500 are in the supreme to ascendent stage. We had to keep the numbers relatively low to avoid suspension."

"And the monsters?" She asked

"We have over 100,000 monsters, mana beasts, chimeras, and demonic beasts all ready to go." Chuck flipped

"Good. Prepare our forces and be ready to strike soon. After we summon Gonrod, we’ll attack the kingdom and make it our base of operations for the future."

"Wait! Hold on a second! We’re summoning Gonrod?! That crazy fucker?" Olzak complained

Anastasia narrowed her eyes. "Do you have a problem?"

"Do I? That guy would kill us if we got in his way! He’s the most unhinged high-ranking demon there is! He will only listen to a demon that’s of a higher rank than him! Why can’t you just use your full power? You’re a high-ranking demon as well!"

"Fool!" Kaien slapped Olzak in the head. "She came here using her soul, and the body she’s inhabiting is a human. Even if it has the blood of a royal vampire, it’s still mostly human, so she can’t exert her full power."

"He’s right. Right now, I’m probably the strongest a mid-rank demon could possibly be. Any stronger and this body will explode."

"Dammit," Olzak said defeatedly

"You must be on your best behavior once Gonrod arrives. You died, and because of that, your soul was damaged, making you weaker than you would normally be. This doesn’t even include your current weaker body."

Olzak looked like he wanted to say something, but he just kept his mouth shut.

"My lords, there is a tournament between races coming up in a few weeks. Do you think it would be best to attack then? World leaders would be there, and if they are taken out, their kingdoms would be easy pickings." Adam suggested, making sure he was as low as possible to the ground, showing respect.

"Hmm, I like that. Yeah, let’s do that." Anastasia smiled.
