Chapter 74: Chapter 74 - Gearing up for the tournament

Three months had passed, and Zion would be going back to the academy soon. While he did enjoy his time off, he was excited to go back to school. However, he was going to miss working in his lab day in and day out and figuring out new ways to improve himself and his technology.

He didn’t sit around and do nothing these past three months either. Just like he said before, he incorporated the runic body and what he called the healing body into his mana method and taught it to all his people.

Lidia broke through to the master stage, Aurora broke through to the Expert stage, Crystal broke through to the Peak of the Advanced stage, Lacey broke through to the Grandmaster stage, and Ginger broke through to the Supreme stage.

Zion also broke through to the Grandmaster stage, but once he did, he could physically feel his cultivation slow down. The amount of mana it would take to break through again, even to the minor stages, would be vast.

That didn’t upset him, though. Currently, he is looking into something that would increase his power drastically. Not on a smaller level like his runic and healing body, but so drastic that it would be the next two levels of his mana method. There was also something else that he was looking into, something that would be able to strengthen the body physically, but isn’t tied to cultivation stages. But all of that was for the future, and he was going to focus on the now.

"Ahh~Fuck~I missed this so much~Fuck me Zion~" Ginger moaned as she mounted Zion, her chiseled abs releasing the beast inside of him.

One look at Ginger and you could tell she was sex depraved. Her eyes locked onto Zion’s with extreme lust. Her breath was so hot with pleasure that it was almost visible. And the way she slammed her ass against his hips, feeling his cock reach her deepest parts, only showed how much she missed having sex with Zion.

"Mhhmnnn~I love this~I can’t live without this cock~" Lost in her desires, Ginger rode Zion like a true slut. Even when she had an orgasm, she continued to bounce her ass more and more.

Wrapping his arms around her back, Zion slightly lifted her up and slammed his dick into her at full force, fucking her so fast the sounds couldn’t even keep up.

"AHHHH~OUGHHH~Y-YOU’RE BREAKING ME~MY PUSSY IS ON FIRE~FUCK ME~FUCK ME HARDERRRRRRRR~" Ginger moaned with her tongue out of her mouth.

Reaching his limit, Zion nutted inside Ginger, her belly swelling from his cum, and she had the most intense orgasm of her life, squirting all over Zion and collapsing onto his chest as her body squirmed and convulsed.

"Phew, I needed that. Nothing like a good fuck before school." Zion said as he got ready to leave.

"Are you ready, babe?" Lidia asked as she smelled a woman’s scent on him. "Were you fucking Ginger?"

"What? No! I was getting ready!"

"Liar! Her lipstick is all over your neck! Are those hickeys?!"

"Oh shit!" He ran away.

"Get back here! How dare you have sex and not invite me!"

Aurora laughed as she watched Lidia chase Zion around the house. She wanted to join in but as she took one step, she almost lost her balance and had to use a wall for support, feeling cum flowing down her legs.

’Hopefully, she doesn’t find out we did it in the shower.’ Alice smiled wryly

"Just like you asked, we set up a base in the Holy City of Light, and we have distributed neural links to every one of our members," Lacey informed Zion as they got out of the carriage in front of the Academy.

"Good. Keep me updated on everything that’s happening. The Holy City of Light will be our new base of operations soon, and after that, we’ll set our sights on the Elven Kingdom."

Lacey nodded. "And what of the two other kingdoms and the Midgard Alliance?"

"Send people who are educated on government affairs and have them infiltrate the Midgard Alliance. We’ll slowly take them over from the inside. As for the other two kingdoms, just continue to establish bases and businesses there and continue gathering information."

"Understood." Lacey nodded and then vanished.

"What are these so-called ’neural links’?" Lidia wondered as she linked arms with Zion.

"Technological devices that are implanted in the brainstem and allow for quick information transfer, data collection, location tracking, tech-based telepathy, and has the ability to show who is an ally and who isn’t. So there is no way we can be infiltrated and not know of it. It also updates information in real-time and is connected to our main Zion Sky database, which also has the DNA of each member."

"I didn’t understand half of what you said, but that’s cool. Can I get one?"

"Yup. Here." He tossed a circular chip to Lidia.

"What do I do with it?"

"Put it on your neck."

Once she did, the chip sank into her neck and merged with her brainstem. The chips were all made from the same material and technology as Tessa and had similar functions, but not to the same level as Zion’s Tessa.

"Woah! This is cool! Words are popping up in my eyes as if I’m looking at one of your screens back in your labs."

"The beauty of technology." Zion rubbed the bottom of his nose.

"Each and every one of you standing here today is not just here to compete—you are here to defy limits and to bring honor and glory to our school. The tournament is upon us, and we are not stepping into that arena to participate—we are stepping in to conquer. Second place is not an option. We are here to claim victory.

Yes, we will face dragons. And yes, they have reigned undefeated for a thousand years. But history is not prophecy. They may breathe fire, but you have trained with fire in your veins. Your discipline, your resolve, your skill, and your unbreakable will—these are your weapons. And they are stronger than scale, fang, or flame.

Fear is natural, but you are not ruled by fear. You are ruled by purpose. You are guided by passion. You are forged by every hour you’ve spent pushing past exhaustion, pushing past doubt. And now you stand ready—not just as students, but as champions in the making.

This year, the story changes. This year, the dragons fall. Not the Elves. Not the Dwarves. Not the Beastmen. Humans will stand at the top. We will rise. We will triumph. We will remind the world what humans are capable of when we fight with everything we are.

So raise your heads. Steel your hearts. And let’s show those dragons exactly who they’re up against. We are the storm they never saw coming. And we will bring glory home!"

"YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Everyone shouted after that amazing inspirational speech.

’Wow, even I’m getting pumped up after hearing that speech. Professor Negan Shatterbat was always good at those speeches.’ Zion nodded.

Negan Shatterbat was one of the heads of the school alongside Raven. He was the head of the martial arts division and oversaw everything martial arts-related at the school.

Standing next to him was Paul Windblown, the head of the academics department, Robert Cornsap, the head librarian, Sarah Maloth, the vice headmistress and head of the magic department, and Raven Blackstar, the headmistress herself.

"But I’m sure you all know that only five of you can participate, so we’ll be having a mini-tournament of our own. Only the top five people will be allowed to participate in the tournament, so give everything your all!"

And with his speech being finished, the preliminary tournament began.
