Chapter 49: Chapter 49 - Let me tell you something

Alice was led to room 69 by the woman she met at the entrance. Tears were falling from her face but there were no sniffles or hiccups.

"This might not be something you want to hear, but, just to give you some advice, don’t give the man you’ll be serving a hard time. Accept his demands and power through the night. Trust me, it’ll be a lot easier that way, even if you hate it."

At this point, Alice was so over everything, she accepted her fate and just thanked the woman before walking into the room and closing the door behind her.

"M-Master, I am here to serve you." She spoke, still stuttering slightly after she had rehearsed those lines over and over before coming here.

"Heh, never expected you to call me of all people Master." Zion laughed, turning around in his chair to reveal who he was.

"Z-Z-ZION! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Her mind raced, not understanding why he would be here, today of all days. She didn’t know how to feel, glad she would at least do it with someone like him, or angry that she would be doing it with him in the first place.

"The real question is, what are you doing here? I understand working after-school jobs, but selling your body? That doesn’t seem like you. 50 platinum coins is a lot though so I don’t blame you." He joked

Something inside her just snapped "Fuck you! Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, FUCK YOU!" She cried, tears now coming down like rain as she sniffed and sobbed uncontrollably.

"You don’t know what I’ve been through, you don’t know how much I’ve struggled, how much my family struggled! You don’t know the sacrifices I had to go through just to feed my family! My mom is sick, my siblings are young, my father is dead, and just to make ends meet and pay off debt, I have to sell my fucking body and you’re making a joke out of it? Fuck you!"

She just fell to her knees crying her eyes out. All the pain that had been building up just rushed forward and burst like a dam. She couldn’t control herself, she couldn’t stop herself, she just had to let everything out.

’Damn, now I slightly feel bad.’ Zion knelt down and hugged her.

"Get off me! Get off, get, get off, get off!" She used all her strength to push him off but he was too strong.

"Just let it out, okay? Just cry. I’m here for you, I’ll hold you, I’ll help you. So just let everything out."

She didn’t know If it was because of his soft, kind words, or whether she was just tired, but she did as he said, crying away all her tears while holding him tightly for comfort.

20 minutes passed and Alice was now ready to speak. She told him everything, how her father passed because of a mistake, how her mom was suffering from an unknown illness, and how she was in debt and was being extorted by Curtis’s family.

"I see. So why didn’t you accept my offer? I could have helped you out."

She just shrugged. "I didn’t know you that well, I still don’t, so I just assumed you would be like him. It’s known that you’re a womanizer so I didn’t want to associate with you at all."

"Fair point. So that’s why you were so upset when Nicole went missing, she was helping you out with your predicament."

"Yeah." She said painfully

"How much do you owe?"

"It was 30 gold coins. My and my sibling’s education was paid off in full. I managed to pay off a bit but it’s not enough. They also keep adding interest which only makes things harder."

"I see. Don’t worry about that anymore, I’ll take care of everything." Zion said, pulling her in close.

While she was uncomfortable, she allowed him to do as he pleased, as long as he didn’t cross the line. "Will I need to pay you back?"

"No, but I’ll accept you being my girl if you want." He teased

"And what will I get out of that?" She asked, her eyebrows arched

"Well, I treat my people good so I’ll give your family a nice place to stay, actually pay for your education with no strings attached, help cure your mother, and help you get stronger." He smiled as she looked into his eyes.

"Really?" She asked, thinking the offer was too good to be true.

"If you don’t believe me, ask a girl named Aurora about her situation."

"Okay, I’ll do that." While she wanted to believe him, there was too much trauma and distrust in her heart, so she wasn’t able to accept his offer.

"Come on, let’s get you changed and back home."

Alice nodded and left the room with Zion, heading back to the room where she had gotten changed when she first arrived here.

"Oh, you’re done now? How was your first time?" The woman asked

Alice explained everything to her and how she didn’t do anything. The woman looked at Zion and gave him a thumbs up.

"You should marry this boy, it’s obvious that he cares for you."

"I agree with her." Zion nodded

Alice didn’t pay them any mind. "He’s Zion Zagan by the way."

"Hey!"

"W-What?! THE Zion Zagan! No wonder you’re so loaded! Spending 50 platinum coins like it’s nothing."

"Oh yeah, speaking of that, I want my money back. We didn’t do anything and your policy is to pay for sex."

"You’re rich, I’m sure this won’t hurt your pockets." The lady teased, slightly hoping he would let them keep the money.

"Haha, you’re right, it is chump change for me." He laughed. "But if you don’t want this place so suddenly go out of business tomorrow, I suggest you give me back what’s mine and stop fucking around." True to his character, Zion didn’t care about others unless they held value to him in some way.

One might make the argument that he thought that the brothel and its ways are disgusting, but Zion isn’t a monster so he still has a moral compass, even if it doesn’t show the directions anymore.

"Fine, you’re no fun." She handed him back his change and he left with Alice, but not before giving the lady 10 platinum coins.

"Why did you give her some of the money?" Alice asked

"She was nice to you." He shrugged.

Alice smiled, thankful for him helping her out in this situation.

He accompanied her to her home which only made her embarrassment show even more. After all, it’s not uncommon for a super-rich guy to look down on a home that can barely hold four people.

Zion, however, did not say anything. Back on earth, he was used to living in horrible environments so her small, run-down house didn’t even phase him.

On his way back to his dorm, Zion was thinking of ways to help Alice and her family out. He could literally take them in without any trouble, pay off their debt, and settle everything as easily as that.

However, there was a single problem, and that was that he would never in his life pay the Larson family a single dime no matter what.

’I’d rather die than pay them....okay maybe not die but, whatever.’

He returned to his dorm and saw two beautiful girls waiting for him. One had firey red hair and a slender, but modest figure. There was an angry expression on her face and her arms were crossed, obviously angry at something.

The other had black hair and glasses. She looked rather disappointed than angry and had her head down while pouting.

Walking into the room, Zion could feel the atmosphere change. He looked at the two of them and raised an eyebrow.

"What’s up with you two?" He asked

Lidia scoffed "Are you fucking serious?"

"Woah there," He held his hands up in a defensive form, "I promise I didn’t have sex with a girl without asking for your permission first."

"I don’t give a damn about that! Do you know how long we’ve been waiting for you? It’s been two hours! And where’s that damn chicken?!"

It was then that Zion remembered what he originally set out to do in the marketplace.

"Oh, shit. Lidia relax, I can explain." He slowly backed away knowing a beating was coming.

"I really wanted to taste that chicken." Aurora sighed

"See! Look what you did to Aurora!" Lidia’s hair stood up in a blazing glory. Her eyes burned bright red and her hands were engulfed in red flames.

"Wait, wait! Lidia, I can explain!" She burned his hands

"AHHH! W-Wait! Let me tell you something! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!"
