Chapter 95: Chapter 91: A Shocking Strike!

Li Ping’an found some free time and wanted to ask Xiao Wangba an unsettled question: who is the current Imperial Censor?

However, Yiye Zhiqiu kept pestering him relentlessly, like a fly that couldn’t be swatted away:

"Senior, how did you know that Zuo Qianhu possesses Strong Qi? How exactly did you find out? What method did you use? Tell me, so I can deal with such people in the future too, right?"

Li Ping’an replied impatiently:

"You’re such a waste, yet you still have the nerve to speak? A Taoist Cultivator who can’t defeat a mere warrior? And you boast about your Kunlun Sect all day? Don’t you have any shame?"

"It’s not like that, senior. Listen to me explain!"

Yiye Zhiqiu clung to Li Ping’an, grinning cheekily:

"Senior, you underestimate me. I still have combative techniques I haven’t used!"

"Damn! You’re even more boastful than I am? What combative techniques haven’t you used?"

Yiye Zhiqiu’s words indeed matched Li Ping’an’s previous guesses, that he certainly was hiding techniques; otherwise, he wouldn’t have failed to kill Zuo Qianhu. Thus, Li Ping’an deliberately provoked him, hoping to learn Yiye Zhiqiu’s Talisman Technique.

Yiye Zhiqiu pulled out a talisman from his sleeve and started flaunting it. Li Ping’an took a good look and was surprised by the unfamiliar talisman, exclaiming:

"What the hell is this?"

"Even you don’t know everything, senior."

Yiye Zhiqiu immediately began to show off:

"This talisman is called the Shocking Thunder Talisman; it’s a type of Thunder Technique among talismans based on the Five Elements, with the Thunder Magic Talisman being the ultimate. Our Kunlun Sect is renowned for our Talisman Technique."

"This talisman, combined with the spell of the Thunder Technique, is called the Wind and Thunder Earthquake Command. Although more complex than other Taoist sects’ Palm Thunder and other Thunder Techniques, it offers similar effects and, indeed, possesses immense power. I was apprehensive about using it earlier because I feared accidentally harming you, senior, and that’s why Zuo Qianhu got the better of us."

Li Ping’an eyed the Shocking Thunder Talisman greedily and urged impatiently:

"Then why don’t you hurry up and teach me?"

Yiye Zhiqiu, pointing towards the direction of Kunlun Mountains in the northwest, said:

"Same as before, take a trip to Kunlun Mountains with me..."

"To hell with you, were you just fooling me around this whole time? Get lost, don’t bother me anymore, I still need to ask Lord Xiao something."

As Li Ping’an turned away in disgust, Yiye Zhiqiu still clung on, saying:

"Senior, please don’t curse. It’s not that I don’t want to teach you; it’s just that I can’t disobey my master’s orders. Don’t you know my master? Why don’t you learn directly from him? He knows more and is better skilled than I am. With your relationship, wouldn’t you be able to learn whatever you want?"

Li Ping’an, lost in the ceaseless and annoying babble of Yiye Zhiqiu, suddenly zoned out, lamenting that if it weren’t for this tremendous opportunity, his fate might have been much like Yiye Zhiqiu’s, if not worse. He reflected on the great responsibilities he now bore with mixed feelings of relief and concern.

"Senior, senior, are you listening to me?"

"Stop talking!"

Suddenly, Li Ping’an, the one with the highest cultivation present, sensed a powerful force rapidly approaching from the east. He immediately told Yiye Zhiqiu to shut up and concentrate.

"Insight into the Hidden!"

From his inner feelings, Li Ping’an impulsively deployed Divine Power: Insight into the Hidden toward the east and saw eight objects rapidly moving toward them, their speed so fast, it could be described as a kilometer in a step.

"We need to leave here now!"

Suddenly, Li Ping’an’s face tensed up and he cried out loudly, drawing everyone’s attention.

"Senior, what’s wrong with you?"

"Stop talking, everyone needs to leave here quickly!"

Li Ping’an, without a second thought, grabbed the Xiao sisters who were applying golden sore medicine to the members of the Xiao Family and ran out of Zhengqi Villa, then turned back and shouted.

"Senior, what is..."

The Xiao Family members couldn’t understand why Li Ping’an was suddenly making such a fuss, appearing as if he had seen something tremendous coming. Fortunately, they followed Li Ping’an’s commands without question and all fled Zhengqi Villa, leaving only Zuo Qianhu who was locked up.

"Remember, you owe me a life, and you must repay it in the future!"

Li Ping’an grabbed the utterly confused Zuo Qianhu and dashed out.

The moment they left Zhengqi Villa, eight nuns appeared above Zhengqi Villa. They wore veiled hats and monks’ robes, each holding different magic artifacts, beating drums, chanting praises, ringing bells, reciting mantras, clashing cymbals, and producing a flow of solemn, harmonious sounds.

The instant they unanimously chanted a word, they pointed gently at the vast Zhengqi Villa. The villa, already a broken structure worsened by continuous rain, was instantly destroyed by a tremendous force, turned into dust, with no trace of anything or anyone inside—whether sitting, lying, standing, made of clay, iron, or wood, living or dead, burrowing or flying, all were returned to the west.

It was like a sudden tidal bore on the Qiantang River, earth-shattering, as if a monkey was escaping its confines beneath the Five Fingers Mountain, heaven and earth turning upside down.

In that instant, it terrified everyone out of their wits, almost bringing them to their knees; that moment alone shocked everyone into deafness, desperate and helpless, creating a thunderous noise for miles around, shaking the very ground they stood on.

An ordinary person using such earth-shattering methods truly put summer insects beyond the reach of ice, humbling the arrogant before the wise, immensely broadening their horizons, never imagining such incredibly powerful forces existed between heaven and earth!

"So powerful!"

In his shock, Li Ping’an used his Divine Power: Insight into the Hidden and could not see the cultivation or attributes of the eight nuns, which could only mean that these nuns were even more formidable than he was.

"Senior, how did you know someone was coming to kill us?"

Yiye Zhiqiu opened his mouth wide, alternating between looking at the eight floating nuns and the tense Li Ping’an.

"They are..."

The Xiao sisters, frightened, hid behind Li Ping’an, and the rest of the Xiao Family members were dumbstruck, all thinking about how if that strike had hit them, they probably wouldn’t even know how they died, completely obliterated.

"They look somewhat familiar; where have I seen them before?!"

The Imperial Censor, Xiao Wangba, being a seasoned official, was shocked but remained composed, only trying to recall something.

"They are practitioners under the State Preceptor!"

Zuo Qianhu’s statement instantly sent a chill down everyone’s spine:

"What? These eight nuns holding magic artifacts and with shaved heads are the State Preceptor’s people?"

Xiao Wangba suddenly slapped his forehead as he remembered:

"That’s right, I once saw them at the Imperial Palace, the State Preceptor was leading these eight monks and a group of Taoists in performing the Luo Heaven Grand Rites!"

"I didn’t expect the State Preceptor to go so far as to kill even me..."

Zuo Qianhu said mournfully, then looked at Li Ping’an gratefully and said:

"I don’t care who you are, I, Zuo Qianhu, owe you my life. I’ve noted it and will definitely repay it with my life in the future!"

"Don’t thank me yet!"

Li Ping’an walked over to Zuo Qianhu, untied the ropes, and demanded:
