Chapter 227: Chapter 184: The Disgraceful Mount Longhu Disciple Li Ping’an!
"Hahaha! Looks like the first to be eliminated this year will definitely be Mount Longhu!"
After Observatory Master Immortal Fei He of Moyun Temple disdainfully finished speaking, he turned to the two Taoist boys behind him and instructed,
"The auspicious day is almost here. There’s no need to wait for the sects that haven’t arrived. Even if they do, don’t let them in. Hurry and invite the people of the Four Great Noble Paths. Once they arrive, we can commence the Grand Ritual of the Heavenly Master!"
"Yes, Master!"
The two Taoist boys promptly went to invite the individuals of the Four Great Noble Paths.
Soon, the leaders of the Four Great Noble Paths—Sect Master Zhuge Junchen of the Flame Cloud Sect, Senior Brother Taishi Bao of Qingyun Sect, Female Sect Leader Mo Liqi of Heavenly Mist Sect, and Immeasurable Sect Leader Taishu Yiqing—streamed in, one after the other, creating quite the spectacle.
The first to enter the square and settle down was Sect Master Zhuge Junchen of the Flame Cloud Sect, clad in a Fiery Cloud Taoist Robe. In his sixties, with black hair and a long beard, he appeared saintly and lofty, resembling an Immortal, though the disciples he had taught...

He led his four disciples to the third of six chairs, where his disciples haughtily stood behind him, looking up and scanning the entire venue.
From this, Li Ping’an deduced that the Flame Cloud Sect must be the strongest among the Four Great Cultivation Sects, otherwise they wouldn’t be the first to emerge and the first to take a seat.
The second to enter was Senior Brother Taishi Bao of Qingyun Sect, in his thirties, dressed in a blue Taoist Robe, with a strikingly heroic appearance and an exceptionally outstanding demeanor. Representing the Qingyun Sect’s leader here indicated that his strength and intelligence were extraordinary.

Following him was Zixia, the object of Li Ping’an’s constant thoughts. Due to her great beauty, she instantly attracted the attention of all the male cultivators present.
Facing such fervent gazes, Zixia became rather bashful, keeping her head down, naturally failing to notice Li Ping’an behind his mask.
"Zixia, oh Zixia! I have finally found you! Hehe!"
Li Ping’an was overjoyed within, eager to pour out his feelings to Zixia. However, due to the crowd, he had to silently endure and simply observe, knowing that Zixia was not going anywhere. He decided to wait for a better opportunity to reveal himself to her.
Succeeding her, the third to enter was the Female Sect Leader Mo Liqi of Heavenly Mist Sect, the sole female sect leader among the Four Great Sects.
Heavenly Mist Sect Female Sect Leader Mo Liqi, draped in a red Taoist Robe with seemingly just a pink bodice underneath, flaunted a rather ample bosom, drawing the sidelong glances of Li Ping’an, a lustful Taoist, who couldn’t take his eyes off her.
This Female Sect Leader Mo Liqi, although in her thirties, was a vision of allure with a youthful figure, undoubtedly a great beauty in her younger days.

Li Ping’an commented on the Heavenly Mist Sect Female Sect Leader, Mo Liqi:
"How could such a great beauty not contemplate Cultivation? Such a pity, such a pity!"
Not only was the Female Sect Leader attractive, but behind her were four captivating female cultivators, each more beautiful and younger than the last. With their large numbers, the presence of the Heavenly Mist Sect immediately overshadowed Zixia.
Of course, there was another sect comprised entirely of female cultivators present—the Yanyue Sect. Each member, including the sect leader, was stunningly beautiful, dressed provocatively; Li Ping’an, who had thought his attendance here would be dull, found himself pleasantly feasting his eyes.
The last of the Four Great Cultivation Sects to enter was Immeasurable Sect Leader Taishu Yiqing, dressed in a black Taoist Robe embroidered with a red "Warrior" character. Although he appeared to be only in his forties and quite dashing, his skin was dark and his temples prominently bulged, suggesting he was a master of both martial and Taoist arts.
Following him were four warrior-like figures, akin to black iron, maintaining the same formation as other sects with the leader sitting at the front and disciples standing behind.
Once the leaders and disciples of the Four Great Noble Paths were seated, only two of the six chairs remained unoccupied. Just as Li Ping’an, a first-time participant in the Grand Ritual of the Heavenly Master, curiously wondered who would take the remaining two chairs, two familiar individuals were invited out!
"It’s them two!"
Li Ping’an saw Wang Tianran, a familiar fat man, quickly take his place in the centermost of the six chairs, his position apparently surpassing those of the Four Great Noble Paths. As soon as he sat down, Li Ping’an noticed his listless, yawning demeanor, a clear sign of languor.
"This fat man finished discussing Buddha Dharma with Emperor Tathagata last night, not too late. Could it be that he didn’t go home but did something else instead?"
Just as Li Ping’an puzzled over this, the last one to enter, Night Traveler Muqiang Baoshan, saluted all the cultivators:
"While I am a mere insignificant disciple of the Mount Shu Sect, today I am here on behalf of Chief Yang Kun of The Night Traveler’s Bureau, representing the Imperial Court, specifically to bear witness. Thus, I take the liberty of sitting before all esteemed senior sect leaders and brothers. Please be understanding!"
After Muqiang Baoshan finished speaking, everyone appeared understanding and took no offense. However, they were conversing about the unfamiliar yet audacious fat man who sat at the very center:
"Who does that chubby kid belong to? Why have we never seen him before?"
"Yes, and he’s not dressed in a Taoist robe, but rather in fine silks and satins from Jiangnan—he looks like a noble’s son!"
"And he’s only about sixteen or seventeen—what merit or capability does he have to sit before us?"
"Look at his kidney-depleted appearance; he’s clearly overindulged in pleasures. How dare such a person sit before us?"
